Just looking at some cards from Dragon Maze. I pulled a Turn Burn in the pre release. This morning I was playing around with a blue white red deck I have been tossing around when it hit me. Turn burn + Fiend hunted = permanent exile? Or am I wrong?
Turn makes target creature lose all abilities and become a 0/1 red weird so our Fiend hunter would lose its "When Fiend hunter leaves the battlefield return exiled card to the battlefield." So if I play Turn Burn in response to them removing Fiend Hunter What ever he has exiled will stay exiled for good. Or is there something I am missing?
It's true! Fiend hunter's second ability no longer triggers upon leaving the battlefield if he doesn't have it! Since Turn causes him to lose all abilities, the card will remain in exile.
