I tried to do a search for this but didn't yield any results, I'm trying to find what people are using on the Android based phones. I am really looking for a app that can take the advanced search features of the gather, so search for "tokens" and every card only in standard that had token in the body would show. A deck builder that you can add cards you found in your search, and a life counter. Having a trade feature would be awesome as well. I had an app for the iPhone that did all of this but can't find one for my new Android. Help!
Next person to say Sorin is becoming w/b will be teleported to Jin-Gitaxias' labs with a sign saying 'everything usable except for the brain'.
We have been practically told it won't happen. If (and this is an if so large it alters weather patterns) Sorin adds a color, it will likely be red. And even then, hedonism (which seems to be the main argument for) is still black. Self-indulgence is black.
I know that Wizards has an official one that came out on Iphone about a month or so ago, but I'm not sure when the android version comes out. They confirmed they are working on it though.
M:tG Tracker is probably the best android app available, IMO. Unfortunately, Wizards sent shalafi a C&D on the free version. You can still get the paid version, though. (IIRC it's something close to $3)
M:tG Tracker has a life tracker has normal, 2HG, and EDH modes, and accurately keeps track of poison (and general damage for EDH games), as well as a history of life total changes, to you can look back to see the course of the game. (This helps a lot in a tournament setting if there's ever any dispute, much like tracking life changes on a pad of paper.) The life tracker can also keep statistics on how well you do over the course of time, and even how you do with individual decks, if you input your decks into the app. It's also got a card search which, while not quite as robust as Gatherer's advanced search or magiccards.info, is still pretty good. The results for a card also pulls up TCGPlayer.com prices for each version of the card, and has a link to the TCGPlayer.com entry for the card and the Gatherer entry for the card. You can also keep a wishlist in the app, and there's also a "tournament mode" which, TBH, I'm not sure how to use.
I just tried downloading the official app, and for the first time ever, I've had the android market tell me the app was too big to download quickly, and that I should enable wifi. I haven't tried the actual app yet, but that seems like a big red flag to me.
EDIT: Okay, I've played around with the official app for bit... And it's already crashed twice when using simple functions of the life tracker, you apparently can't perform a card search when selecting your general for an EDH deck (the app brings up a list of every single legendary creature in the game and expects you to scroll through them. I hit the find key on my phone and typed in my general's name, and the app said '0 results'), and the normal card search (eg, building your deck) is extremely slow since it wants to search as you type... even when nothing has been entered (bringing up every card in the game). The app is also very obviously a port of an iDevice app, breaking standard android program flow in favor of iDevice program flow, making it awkward to use when you're expecting a droid app. It's also the slowest-loading app I've ever used (even slower than the Onion's app), which makes the crashes even more annoying. And its ability to save player profiles makes it far to easy to save duplicates of the same player, and assumes a given player only owns/plays a single deck and has only a single EDH general. The app also has an annoying number of 'warning' dialogs which are completely unnecessary.
The app's only saving grace is that it's pretty, and that is has a news feed... which you could get using the droid news feed widget...
EDIT 2: For some reason, Google Play thought that I didn't download MtG Toolbox from Google Play, so I couldn't rate the app. Fortunately, I was able to 1-star it from the Google Play website, but that was really weird.

I downloaded the MTG Toolbox just to try it, and, well, I won't be using it. At least not until I get a newer phone. It was way too resource intensive, and took up so much room on my phone that I couldn't get an e-mail or text for six hours (even after I uninstalled it). The one time I tried to bring it up before uninstalling it, it just started chugging along....splash screen.....then stuck. Had to reboot my phone, and then uninstall it, and then reboot again, before I could do anything else.
Yeah, I wasn't impressed with the experience.
Phone was an LG Apex, I know it is no longer being sold retail, so it probably was not a good enough phone to handle the app.

I was actually in the middle of making an app to do just what you were looking for when I read the C&D to the creator of that iPhone app. Of course, that C&D was simply for the deckbuilder part. He was able to continue on with the rest of the app. I figured I'd be wasting my time if they were to send one to me as I release it.

Not convinced that it's any good, though.
