Two weeks ago, I played at FNM and lost a couple rounds to some bad players (It obviously wasnt my night).
I have a relitively high dci rating (just short of 1800) and I played at a ptq yesterday. I got 12th, went 6-2 and beat 3 pro players. I know I gained alot of points at the PTQ.
The thing is, the local store is always late reporting FNMs. If the PTQ results come in first, before the FNM is reported, will I lose alot more points because my rating was higher after the ptq, or does the system have it so that there is a date on the report, and it will be slipped in between the ptq and the fnm before?
More importantly, FNM is an 8K event. It is quite literally impossible to gain/lose more than 8 points in one match. As a result, I doubt the difference in rating will matter that much. Even if the PTQ is calculated first, you may lose 6 points instead of 5 for one or two matches from the FNM, but I find it very hard to believe there would be a bigger difference than that (and even changing the result by 1 point takes a big change in ranking with an 8K event).
So, unless you're worried about 1 or 2 points (which you really shouldn't be), it will be completely irrelevant which order the events are reported in thanks to the ridiculously low K value of FNM.

Thanks in advance.
