My question is, will they swap the Lizard type for Dinosaur, or just add Dinosaur on? I much prefer the former.
Ripscale Predator very much looks Dinosaur-based to me, with its strong digitigrade hind legs, bipedal stance, thick tail held aloft for balance, and elongated neck.
On the other hand, "-saur" or "saurian" don't seem like they'd be enough to warrant the Dinosaur type on their own, they just signify that the thing is a reptile. I doubt Fungusaur, Gnathosaur, and Brooding Saurian will earn the Dinosaur type.

Definately just add it (ps some beasts could get dinosaur type too. Gahiji is a good example)

The Gnathosaur looks very much like a dinosaur, while saurian are used by a specific subclass of reptile today, specifically those whose form is particularly primitive and can be traced back to pre-yucatan extinction relatives, such as crocodiles, alligators, and the Tuatara. Other reptiles such as snakes, most lizards, and turtles are not generally referred to as saurian.

I fully expect that most of the creatures given the dinosaur type are beasts or lizard beasts. The sole exception I can see is the Magmasaur (fun fact, Magmasaur is not on the reserved list and can be reprinted with abandon if WotC so chose).

I'm not so certain. Pygmy Allosaurus for example was originally printed as a Dinosaur, then was changed to Lizard when they decided to remove the Dinosaur creature type. There's plenty of justification for just dropping Lizard in this case and making it a Dinosaur.
Others like Ridgetop Raptor were printed originally as Beasts, then had Lizard added to their type. This was necessary because Beast has a great deal of tribal support, and dropping it would change function. Lizard has exactly zero tribal support, so dropping it in cases like Ridgetop Raptor would not change function except in really specific corner cases. I rather think that cards along this line will switch Lizard for Dinosaur, but keep and ancillary types.
The thing is, Dinosaurs and Lizards are mutually exclusive categories of reptiles, just as Snakes and Turtles are. Calling them Lizards has always been wrong and dumb, this is a chance to fix that in many places. Some unfortunates were printed with Lizard on the actual card, and changing them would be awkward at this point, but not unheard of. The changes between Monkey and Ape come to mind.
They're so eager to give all different types of mammal their ownspecificcreaturetypes, and Birds are forever consigned to being painfully generic thanks to the vast supply of Bird tribal effects, I just really want to see Lizard taken off of things that are clearly not Lizards.
--
Gnathosaur does not look like a Dinosaur to me, at least no more than a Baloth does, and I doubt that Baloths will get the Dinosaur treatment.
Gahiji is an odd case. If you blow up the image, he has some very mammalian features in addition to his reptilian ones. He has dog-like feet, reptilian claws, and flippers, and what appear to be both feathers and fur, as well as horns, tusks, and antlers. I am confident that Gahiji will remain just a Beast.

I guess that's true.
And oh wow I diden't notice that on gahiji no way he's a dinosaur the dog paws on the front is why
But some beast could get acceptions (likely anyway.)
Realm Razer does resemble a dinosaur to some degree, but I think that the Alaran Naya beasts will be left alone, they all have combinations of features from many types of animals, one resembling a Ceratopsian isn't that much different from one resembling a Rhinoceros.
Some Onslaught beasts are possibilities, they too were a hodgepodge of different animals all brought together as beasts, but each one tended to be one particular type of creature rather than a combination. Macetail Hystrodon was based on Doedicurus I think, so that one might not get the treatment.
The Tyrannaxes are virtually guaranteed based on their name and appearance, and since Mirrodin's fauna is an amalgam of many worlds, they wouldn't be out of place.
Skyshroud War Beast is quite dinosaur-like, though Dilophosaurus was definitely not frilled (as wikipedia points out at the very bottom of the article).

I think you may have misunderstood me. What I meant was that most of the creatures that will get the dinosaur type currently have the beast type or the beast and lizard types. Not that all of the creatures with those types will become lizards. It is primarily dependent on the art of the beast in question. Magmasaur is likely to become a dinosaur, while something like Guardian Beast will not. I also mentioned that the aforementioned Magmasaur isn't on the reserved list because I thought it was a fun little fact.

Gnathosaur's head has a tyrannoid look, so I could see it getting the Dinosaur type. Fungusaur was clearly meant to be a Fungus Dinosaur; all it needs is a reprint with new art that better resembles a Dinosaur. Brooding Saurian is a tricky one. It could be reprinted with more Dinosaur-like art to justify errataing it to Dinosaur.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Adaptive Snapjaw it has lizard type and it does resemble dinosaur I've ben look at photos for a long time the only things incorrect is the feet and frills ditch those and make it two legged and make it stand more tyrannosaurus like than bam a dinosaur. Alpha Tyrranax easy exclamation. Deathmist Raptor take away deathmist and you pretty much got self explainatory Frenetic Rapto same as deathmst Raptor but take away frenetic instead Macetail Hystrodon look at what a Ankylosaurus looks like this has the right body to be in that dinosaur family tree. Quagnoth it has the right body and dinosaurs do have spikes and fins like this. Realm Razer this resembles the styracosaurus just reprint it without the moss. Ridgetop Raptor do I need to say it? Skyshroud War Beast change the scythe hands to regular dinosaur like hands there you go. Thunderfoot Baloth the one and only baloth that resembles a dinosaur. Tyrranax again scythe hands replaced with dinosaur like hands
(Well excluding the flowing below Ofcoarse
So any others could be possible?
As are Tyrranax and Alpha Tyrranax as they are both clearly based on the Tyrranosaurus.
And of course, we should not forget Gahiji, Honored One, as it is clearly supposed to be a dinosaur of some sort.
