Damnation is in need of a reprint. But I do not think it is in Modern Masters 2017. It hasn't been in any of the last 3 masters sets. Additionally, Damnation could fit the flavor of Amonkhet. It would be a card in the Masterpiece series.
I've edited the thread title because the [basespec] tag is not shown at a first cursory glance of the forums.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Don't expect 4 mana wrath with no regeneration clause in Standard.
Even if they make something similar, it won't be with "can't be regenerated"
I believe OP is talking about the idea of Damnation being a masterpiece - which would make it not actually IN standard. (assuming I read that right, of course)
I'm willing to take this bet with anyone. That's why it would be a Masterpiece fellas, and not a standard-legal card. Maro has been quoted saying they are looking for places to reprint this card.
I think it has a high chance of being in Amonkhets second set, hour of devastation, along with oblivion stone and a bunch of other very destructive cards as 'excavations' (masterpieces).
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
Not to go to off topic but what about some decent graveyard have. I meen I think a good 3-4 mana board wipe like anger of the gods and damnation would be great but I think the madness has to end we need something like gravediggers cage or rest in peace to cure the delirium and Scrap Heep Scrounger plague.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
