I just came back from the Las Vegas GP and noticed something a little weird.
When I went to the Minneapolis GP in 2014, the land that was handed out for limited events was from M15. Basically they came around to each table and handed out the fat pack lands. This was pretty cool as we got to see the new land art 2 months before launch. The Minneapolis GP was on May 9-11 and M15 released on July 18.
Fast forward to this weekend. The lands handed out were from M14! This would have been an opportune time to do the same thing that they did in 2014, but for some reason we got old border lands. Maybe they had an abundance of M14 lands, but I think something is up.
Why didn't they want to give us a preview of the new lands? The answer seems obvious, there is something special about them.
I also add that for all of the people thinking full arts are a Zendikar thing, that may be, but we aren't really on peaceful Zendikar. We are on Rise of the Eldrazi Zendikar which is beaten and destroyed. The art would look more like ROE lands or even worse and is that something people want to see on their full art?
I think that's quite a jump to sort of conclusion. Perhaps the art is not finalized? Perhaps they intend to do origins in an old art frame to signify that it comes as a prequil set. I have no idea really but it is odd.
I think jumping to a conclusion that they will be full art is sort of an unlikely conclusion from what we have right now.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
You know, it would be kind of cool. Given that we are visiting 10 different planes and whatnot, it would be a great way to showcase the locales and settings involved in a unique way. I'll be honest, I would much prefer them in Origins than BFZ. Zendikar has already had full art basics, and it would be good to have some non-Zendikar full arts.
Here's hoping.

But whichever it comes, I just hope for full art lands very soon, frames like the Unhinged ones, they look sick.
Still I've never head of anything about the distribution of land packs on Sealed GPs, anyone can confirm from other GPs?
Here's hoping.
