I was wondering if you guys think Wizards would print lesser known and more specifically possibly alive planesealkers. By this I don't mean merely commandwalkers who are featured but might have no bearing on future storylines but rather walkers who could, you know, show up. Walkers Like Tessebik, Masrath, Parcher, Sandruu, and Meshuvel. Would there be any support for such appearances, or would it be....eh, meh?

They *can* do virtually anything. The real question is *will* they do anything and the answer is likely no as much as I would love seeing some old walkers like Parcher the odds are small that they would bring them into the storyline over just making new walkers.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
It's funny that Parcher's always at the forefront of these kinds of questions, since he apparently was only referred to, never appearing "on screen", and would probably be excluded under the "no vanity cards" rule due to his name being a reference to Peter Archer.
That said, it would be nice to throw in that kind of tie to the old storylines and the advantage of using minor characters like these is that they can essentially build their character from scratch because very little has been tied down so far.
fair enough, I'm new to magic and am not even very familiar with the characters of the past. Although I did the article on Tessebik and Masrath and would love to know what happened to these Dominarian Planeswalkers. They Remind me of Venser a little and I fear one of them may have killed the other in their little "play duel".

I think the reason they won't do these is because they'd have to keep the characters consistent with what's already established. They were willing to do this for a few planeswalkers, like Bolas and Karn, but if they didn't do it for Jaya Ballard (they basically said that Chandra was Jaya without the pre-established backstory), they're probably not going to do it for a character as minor as those brought up in this thread.

There are few men in this Parliament for whom I have greater respect than the leader of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation. I admire him in my heart, because time and again he has had the courage to say what lays on his conscience, regardless of what the world might think of him. A man of that calibre is an ornament to any Parliament.

With the recent Commander product showing us both known and unknown walkers, both alive and dead, we should expect to see some more over time. I would definitely like to see Jeska appear at some point in walker form.

Ahh, old Parcher. A single mention in one book, and you keep coming back
The reason is... why on Earth shall they? There is a long line of walkers who could be given their card now, when Teferi and Freyalise got theirs. From what you have written - no more words on Parcher. Meshuvel is almost the same case as him - a single mention in one paragraph.
Tessebik and Masrath are from a single Savor the Flavor article from Matt Cavotta, that nobody even remembers.
Now, Sandruu. Perhaps the most probable of what you presented, but still - no mention on cards altogether. And they already kind of did Zedruu as a nod to him (for those very informed).
There are far more known characters that should be given walker cards. Lord Windgrace, for example. Quite a handful of cards referring or depicting him. Same goes for Bo Levar and/or even Commodore Guff. The "family" of Taysir, Kristina and Daria. Taysir has no card or picture despite being the strongest pre-rev walker, but he and Daria have some flavors in Homelands. Daria is on Aura Blast. Feroz and Serra. Leshrac and Tevesh Szat. And I can go further. Yes, they are all dead, but so is Freyalise, and it would make far more sense than any of the obscure characters above.

Perhaps you do not understand the reason for this post. This is NOT a thread for Requesting Dead or no longer-planeswalker status walkers. Some of those you have mentioned may still fit what we are looking for but the whole point of this thread is to speculate walkers that could
1. Still be Living
3. Could be spark active
I am fully aware that many of those I have mentioned are obscure and we know almost nothing about. That is the point I personally think that it's the fact that many of these characters are relatively unexplored that might give them a ghost of chance to become interesting relevant characters. You may argue that it would be easier to just create new walkers rather than base them on such old, obscure material and indeed the chance is slim but that's what this thread is for- to gage the communities interest in such a thing. I respect that you disagree, but this thread is not interested in characters other than potentially living, spark active individuals, nor in commandwalkers. Thank-you

I don't think there would be any point bring back an obscure existing walker over crafting a brand new character.
Pretty much this.
No reason to rehash characters nobody is familiar with and self-impose negligible, yet present limitations in creating them. There is literally no target group who would they cater to by this. Better to create a new character altogether.

If the character already exists in canon, they can make a card for the character. (Maro confirms that they can do Pashalik Mons.)
