Typically Wizards of the Coast prints answers to newly introduced mechanics in the next set so that the standard constructed environment will soon have an answer to that mechanic if it proves to be way too powerful. This got me wondering what answers we might see printed in Orgins. I think that the biggest unknown quantity that wizards thought might need an answer in Khans block is the manifest mechanic, since MaRo basically said in the article that spoiled megamorph that they couldn't do a variation on manifest in Dragons of Tarkir because Manifest was still up in the air and they couldn't be certain that it would even be printed in Fate Reforged.
This coupled with their habit of reprinting at least one card in the core set which was originally printed in their commander decks (Scavenging Ooze, Hornet Queen) makes me think that Containment Priest has a good shot at being one of Magic Origin's rares.
The concern with Manifest was due to rules and complexity rather than balance. At any rate, I don't think they'll print Containment Priest in a set where the star cards exile themselves then return to the battlefield transformed.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

To be fair to OP, the planeswalker creatures would not be affected by containment priest, since they're entering the battlefield as planeswalkers, not as creatures. That said, I do find it unlikely to be printed.
The current trend would seem to indicate that it wont be. They hadn't reprinted any cards from supplemental set into standard till two years after said cards had printed originally. Hornet Queen doesnt really hose any particular mechanic. And Scooze wasn't reprint till Innistrad block was 3 months away from leaving standard. There isnt a mechanic Containment Priest would be hosing from Theros, since bestow would be casting it as an aura and said aura changing to a creature doesnt change the fact that it was cast. And manifest isnt over powered at all since you still have to pay to turn it face up and it has to be a creature to even do that. If we even see a hoser for manifest it will be in BfZ's second set so it still gets play time in standard.
