I heard someone speculating about this on Reddit, and now that I've thought about it a bit more it seems more and more likely. Could Wizards potentially randomly include enemy fetches (Marsh Flats etc) with DTK set marks in the basic land slot, similarly to how they've already announced that they're doing the allied fetches? Or am I just crazy?

That seems to be the speculation going around. It would be a fantastic surprise, but ...can you imagine the prices on them? The Fate Reforged fetches are probably going to be just like the Dragon's Maze shocklands, where you'll get maybe 1-2 per box on average, so imagine all of the people who would want those enemy fetchlands and imagine the incredibly low supply of them that would be on the market (there are the Zendikar ones of course, but tons of people would be wanting the new art versions, plus the Zendikar ones are already crazy-expensive. A standard reprint would drive the demand through the roof, especially if they were "pre-printed" in such a way that there is an incredibly low supply of the new versions on the market for several months).
They would've announced that early on, because it'd drive sales of those packs through the roof.
God packs weren't discovered until Journey pre-release was announced. Not saying this is proof positive, but there is precedent for them doing something sneaky and not telling players about it.
That said, I imagine some people have already opened some product, and I haven't seen anywhere anybody saying they've found them yet. So I doubt I am inclined to doubt it at this point. I imagine someone, somewhere, would have opened a scalding tarn, and you better believe that'd explode the internet.
Well there was this post on Blogatog asking if there was any more surprises, asked shortly after the full spoiler was up i think: travnar asked: Does Fate Reforged have any more surprises?
MARO: I don’t know. Um, it plays really well. : )
I don't know if you would say thats good news or bad news for your theory. Also I think if its not in fate reforged, we might want to say that its not being printed in DTK because it would seem like a huge flavor miss not to print them in FRF like you suggest is possible.
I'm moving away from expecting this Doug had a post that confirmed the link between the Allied Fetches and the dragons making it clear that each land represents one dragon.
so I think we will see the allied fetches again in DTK with new art. Probably representing a Brood nest.
(Alternately we get Enemy Fetchs, possibly depicting a resting place of each kahn)
Nah the Fate Reforged Kahns, but even that doesn't really work cause they are not a pair.
the more I think about it the more I come back to it being about 5s, 5 kahns, 5 dragons, 5 aspects.
The alternate art, alternate future version (From the Ugin's Fate packs in the pre-release kits) of Ainok Tracker references a character named Surrak, the Hunt Caller. I imagine it's an alternate future version of Surrak Dragonclaw and we are likely to get a future version of each of them. Incidentally, there won't be any actual Khans in Dragon of Tarkir, as presumably the dragons win the war and decimate the clans.
I posted my theory on this a few days ago. Regarding finding the ZEN fetches in FRF packs, it involves putting the ZEN fetches in later print runs so that they don't appear in prerelease packs and such.
I am of the belief that the ZEN fetches will be printed in DTK. Here's where I think things could turn differently though.
As we all know, KTK and FRF are supposed to be drafted together, and when DTK comes out, it is supposed to be drafted with FRF as well.
We also already know that every now and then we will find a KTK fetchland in a FRF booster, but for gameplay purposes, this will make for odd card counts and checklists in tournaments that run checklist sheets for sealed events if you consider that when doing a DTK/FRF sealed event, are they going to have to include the 5 KTK fetches off in a corner of one of the pages to account for that possibility?
My theory is that for the first couple print runs of FRF, you will find KTK fetches sometimes in the basic land slot like they have already announced, but when DTK is released, and WOTC continues to print FRF to supplement FRF/DTK drafts, provided that the ZEN fetches are printed in DTK like a lot of us are speculating, I believe that 3rd and 4th print runs of FRF will have both KTK as well as DTK fetches that can be found in boosters, if not having the DTK fetches replace the KTK fetches altogether when it comes to printing sheets. Sure there will be times where boosters of FRF from different print runs get mixed in together so that fetches from both KTK and DTK could be opened in back to back boosters, but I think this will be the way to somewhat balance the land fixing for the DTK/M16 2-block paradigm when KTK/FRF rotates out about 12 months later. It's not a stretched train of thought in order to achieve symmetry, but just a thought that makes sense to me.

Yeah I get it, the point was that maybe they would print the Enemy Fetches and link them to the kahns to mirror the way the allied fetches are linked to the dragons. the link we have seen is that the lands are the graves of the extinct dragons so the mirror would be more appropriate to link to the first clan chiefs (FRF) (who likely didn't go on to lead there clan to victory) depicting a scene of there failure i.e. a grave or memorial.
It doesn't make sense to link the lands to present day Kahns. I actually don't see how they can really link the enemy fetches to the clans neatly at all. it makes far more sense that we will see an alternate art version with living dragons nests.

They could just make it so that the DTK fetches aren't legal until DTK itself hits shelves - it wouldn't fix the prices for Modern but it'd keep things from going totally haywire. I can't remember exactly where this was done before, but I think a similar instance of pre-printing happened before: can anyone correct me on this or not?
EDIT: I more imagine the hypothetical DTK fetch art showing the dragons flying overhead, instead of their skeletons decomposing. No khans involved.
They could just make them legal in drafts with FRF. And there wouldn't be a price gouge on enemy fetches just because there in FRF boosters. Anyone who would buy them price gouged deserves to lose that money. If they did show up in FRF boosters it would confirm a standard print run coming in three months, no seller would bother selling them so high because most people would just wait a short amount of time. We have past proof of this. The five shocks not in RTR didn't sky rocket before GTC hit selves because GTC was going to hit shelves 3 months later, and every one who wanted them just waited.
And seeing how low the chances of getting a shock-land in DGM was, its understandable that potentially no one, not even store owners cracking packs for singles stock, has found any yet.
Also they could be in the Ugin's Fate boosters as part of the altered future, and seeing as those are part of prize support those would be opened less until prerelease is over.
