So, all of us I think want to return possibly to Innistrad, though it would be a little different that Angels are revived and such. What about a block that uses the classic Universal Horror monsters as a basis? Frankenstein, Swamp Thing, Invisible Man, Mummy, Frankenstein, Bride, Wolf Man, etc? I would be so elated to see Wizards' take on the classic cinema monsters.
Damn. I admit I fell out of Magic just before Innistrad and I am hoping to go back and buy some product going as far back as Zendikar. I didn't know these existed. Wow. Awesome. Love Magic so Much!!!
There is actually a card named Frankenstein's monster from the Dark, unfortunately it's on the reserved list. They've also quoted Dracula twice with Swarm of Rats and Taste of Blood. It would be epic though if they made a legendary Dracula. And I still want a legendary werewolf creature for commander.

Not gonna lie but Innistrad seems to have done a lot of monsters. I think MaRo did say it was their monster set. Although I am always up for another one! Still want a legendary Jeckyl and Hyde for mtg!
Olivia was the 'Dracula" card of the set, as well as Grimgrin, Invisible Stalker, Creepy Doll (which is creepy dolls in general) and Civilized Scholar being top down versions of those characters. The rest is a maybe.

Lol Baron Sengir is pretty bad a, but I still want the count. Maybe a new Baron will pop up in the last base set since the original is on the reserved list.
Hmm, he would make a pretty awesome legend for M16.

Vampires you control have "B: Regenerate this creature."

Say, maybe they could make a cycle of new cards for old legends? Ideally characters who are still alive in Magic's present day. Or at least references to old characters, kinda like the Grandeur cycle from Future Sight.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
That was allowed in older cards but is not possible anymore.
They can create cards with the same flavour but the can't use the same name.
As for a legendary werewolf i think we can see it if we can re-visit Innistrad (Tovolar? Mondronen Shaman)
I think this one is definitely on WOTC list of things to do. Just need a place for werewolves to reappear. I think it be cool if they make it a wolf/werewolf/wolfir lord so that has a little wider application and
doesn't automatically need DF cards (which are more expensive/tricky to print)
I'd really like to see how they do a return to inistrad, they did such a good job of so many top down horror designs I wonder I've they can pull off a real top down horror sequal feel. Monsters coming back returning evil etc.
Kinda like innistrad in reverse, the humans / angels / forces of good are now in control and have a period of quiet, and then the evil starts to rise again. could be cool.
I pegged Abomination more of a Godzilla/giant monster homage.
You also forgot Predator Ooze as The Blob. INN was pretty much packed with classic monster references. I'm sure that any they didn't get to then are game for an inevitable return to Innistrad. In some storyline article it made mention of the remaining werewolves escaping to some island after Avacyn showed up. I figure they might be setting up some Island of Dr. Moreau scenario.
I have a dream that the Return to Innistrad block will be a Grim Fairy Tale's themed one. Primarily because I want Double Faced cards to come back and Wolves to have more of a focus (since I think they got the shaft as far as the tribes go last time). I picture it like:
Peace has returned to Innistrad since the return of the Angel Avacyn, but recently a new evil has arisen. The woods are enchanted, or so the townsfolk say, and the Wolfir have gone mad returning to their more ferocious forms. A new hero has taken it upon herself to enter the enchanted woods to seek the source of this evil and return peace to Innistrad.
The "hero" would be a girl in a red hood based on, well take a guess. Tamyio could return since she has been studying the moon on innistrad and believes the energy it gives off is related to this new force. The ultimate Big Bad (based off the big bad wolf) would be a legendary enchantment that flips to reveal Xenagos, the Banished. My backstory for him being that his dormant spark saved him from Elspeth's killing blow but he's been trapped between two forms ever since and is looking for a way to restore his powers. He's fed off the odd energy the moon gives, enchanted the forest and sent the wolves into a mad Revelry.
You could also have other fun cards like a Witch that "eats" small humans, or maybe turns them into a food token. A spell that features a feast of crows plucking out someones eyes like the end of Cinderella. And who wouldn't love a Rumpelstiltskin based card?

Um they did Red Riding hood Scorned Villager, Also thought there was more witch flavour cards other then Bitterheart Witch, mostly the witchy cards are tied with the demon summoning cards. But I think she is the witch stand in, there is also Murder of Crows, okay so there is no specific mention of eyeballs but...
I was under the impression that Shadowmoor had a bit of a Grimm flavor to it.
