Did you know that Zurgo's blade is forged from the fang of the Sultai's former dragon patron, and that its vampiric abilities grant Zurgo the lifelink seen on his card? It should come as no surprise that our first tri-colored planeswalker will be Zurgo, given that his vampiric blade absorbed Narset's latent spark at the time of her death in the latest Uncharted Realms. What sort of abilities do you think Zurgo's card will have?
I expect his +1 to be a Despise of sorts, his middle -x to be an Utter End, and his ultimate to give you creatures lifelink and indestructibility.
I don't think this confirms Zurgo will ignite the spark. All we know for now is that it can be stolen by the blade and Zurgo has it. Who's to say someone else won't stab him and take it too?
Feels too soon to say for certain. We know that Sarkhan's actions will change the past and thus change the future, so it's possible Zurgo won't have that spark for very long. So there's a chance the third set sees Narset still have her spark and ignite it too. Heck, maybe Sarkhan's actions change it so Narset's fight with Zurgo is what ignites her spark.
There are 2 problems here with your theory:
1. Zurgo doesn't have lifelink
2. No where does any current source mention anything about Zurgo's blade being forged from a dragon's tooth, let alone the former khan of the Sultai.
Sorry, I mistook his vampiric +1/+1 for lifelink. The vampirism is what allowed his blade to steal Narset's spark. Yeah, his sword is a dragon's fang. It was taken from the maw of his dragon throne skull.
Where did you get that info? I don't recall reading it in Uncharted Realms or the Planeswalker's Guide.

Theories are unproven. Mine's proven in black and white.
Also, Gutter, I'm not being fallacious at all. The fallacy is in you not reading my posts carefully. Now that Zurgo has Narset's spark, do you think his impact will be on the overall plot?
No I'm definitely reading your posts. Your fallacy is called appeal to authority. And they don't even have real authority just something you've contrived. Give me written evidence from Wizards that says anything you've posted is true and maybe we'll get to actually turning this hypothesis of yours into a theory.

I never said my sources were in contact with anyone currently in Creative. I simply stated they had plenty of theories regarding the nature of the spark that jive with Zurgo's ability and past instances of sparks being stolen.
1. I'm moving this to baseless speculation. There just really isn't a lot of evidence here.
2. Keep it civil. It's fine to disagree with other users so long as you aren't personally attacking them. No one has crossed that line yet, but it's close.
Ugh, Zurgo would be a horrible choice for a character to turn into a planeswalker. So one-dimensional. "Waaaaaaah!! Sarkhan turned into a dragon and burned everyone!! Waaaaaah!! Revenge!! Waaaaaah!!" At least Narset has a lot of different sides to her character. And that's no coincidence. It's also no coincidence that Sarkhan and Narset bonded before Sarkhan jumped into the Ugin DeLorean and went back in time. Creative is trying to build up to when Sarkhan returns to the present that has been altered by his actions in the past, and reunites with Narset (ridiculous time travel plot holes aside), and it turns out that she's now a planeswalker and can travel around with him. Zurgo is a nobody. He's a story device to show how far Sarkhan has come from when he used to be a member of Mardu. Once the story on Tarkir ends, we're done with Zurgo.
It's fine if you want to write fan fiction about Zurgo becoming a superhero or whatever, but don't try to pass it off as a legitimate storyline discussion when it makes absolutely zero sense.

That bolded bit and reality don't match up, as shown by my first post.
Secondly sparks have only been transferred 3 times.
The Third needed and entire Plane to be turned into a massive Machine dedicated to doing it. Even then it went wrong and the Spark didn't go where it was intended to.

We're discussing a storyline that ties into a cardgame, penned by different authors. It's already fanfiction. Mine's just a notch ahead of what's out there.
You're right, Kahedron, However, prior to the transfer it had never happened before. So there's a first time for everything.
Fanfiction is just taking an established property and writing anything you want about it. Which tends to lead to horrible stories because tend not to have restraint or story focus.
Being hired by a company to write for them means you cant just make up ***** because you think its awesome. Your stuff gets cross checked with their creative group.
You also need to be able to back up any claim with confirmable evidence. Narset has latent planeswalker spark? Zurgo's sword can steal life energies? We don't haven't had a tri color planeswalker yet?
Also Zurgo won't appear in Fate Reforged since he doesn't have a spiritual connection to Ugin to allow him to activate and travel through the nexus like Sarkhan does. And once Tarkirs timeline is changed Zurgo won't be the same in the new timeline.

We don't, no. Nor do we have any reason to assume that this is at all accurate. There's no information corroborating it besides fanfic and extremely loose interpretations of events.
