This is a thread for all your guesswork and wishes for Fate Reforged and Dragons of Tarkir!
To start us off, I'll put down my predictions and such in spoilers to make scrolling easy, since this is the OP.
I think that Fate Reforged will bring us the Ugin planeswalker card, and a few Ugin themed cards, including a minor colorless sub-theme, some of it tied into morph, but others independent of such. I think Ghostfire will be reprinted here (and if not, it will be reprinted in Dragons of Tarkir).
I also hope the rest of the fetchlands (Zendikar ones) will be reprinted here, alongside the rest of the tri-land taplands (shard ones). I think they'll be pushed into this set because of the new standard rotation, since Dragons of Tarkir will be like a separate block alongside M16.
Then I suspect/hope that Dragons of Tarkir and M16 will have and complete the full cycle of fastlands (from Scars of Mirrodin). Other possibilities I could easily see happening there would be the dual-land manlands; or Dragons of Tarkir either having no lands or having the remaining fetchlands if Fate Reforged doesn't have them, and M16 having the remaining pain-lands that weren't in M15.
I'm pretty sure either way we'll get the shard tri-lands in either Fate Reforged or Dragons of Tarkir.
Something like one of these for the rare lands:
1. Fate Reforged (ZenFetches), Dragons of Tarkir (5 fastlands, either carefully re-flavor-texted and illustrated mirrodin fastlands, or the enemy color ones with more neutral names), M16 (remaining fastlands)
2. Fate Reforged (ZenFetches), Dragons of Tarkir (dual land man-lands, either Zen or new ones), M16 (remaining dual-land man-lands not in DoT, either new or Zen reprints)
3. Fate Reforged or Dragons of Tarkir (ZenFetches, other has no rare duals), M16 (remaining pain-lands that weren't in M15)
The first is what I want the most, I'd settle for the second, and I'd be disappointed but still be mostly okay with the 3rd, especially if we don't have to wait too long after that for them to finish the fastland and dual-land manland cycles for the sake of modern after that.
I suspect that either Dragons of Tarkir or Fate Reforged, but more Dragons of Tarkir, with it only being started in Fate Reforged, will have a noteworthy colorless theme focused around Ugin as the originator/leader/master of the magical styles involved.
I doubt we'll actually get a Bolas reprint, in fact, I think we are more likely to get a _new_ Bolas card, if we get a Bolas card at all. If it is in Fate Reforged, I suspect it will be designed to represent Bolas not long after the Mending (or maybe pre-mending, I'm not sure where Fate Reforged fits in the timeline for that sense, but I think it would be shortly after the Mending), or if it is in Dragons of Tarkir, it will be Bolas finding out Ugin survived somehow and hid himself, and is coming after him again, and it will be a new Bolas card that while powerful, is specifically designed to be able to be driven off by Ugin.
Wow... some of those beasts have _really weird_ names.
I also expect a 1 drop in blue and a 1 drop in white that have prowess, probably one in Fate Reforged, and the other in Dragons of Tarkir. I expect the blue one at least will have a generic enough name so that it can be reprinted, because I recall hearing rumors that they are testing prowess as a future eternal evergreen mechanic that will be a mostly blue one. I'd love to make a weenie jeskai prowess deck with 12 prowess 1 drops, might be interesting in delver variants in Modern too.
I hope for a card roughly like this:
Hexprowess Dude1UU Creature - Type
Hexproof, Prowess. 1/3
The idea being that he's a guy who is highly removal resistant, and only needs to trigger prowess once to survive an anger of the gods, so long as he isn't already damaged, but is still relatively low cmc, designed to be reliant on enchanting/equipment based tricks and prowess for damage, and be most vulnerable to sacrifice mechanics and larger sweepers than Anger of the Gods.
I also suspect we'll see plenty of dragons and dragon related reprints, some in Fate Reforged, and a major theme in Dragons of Tarkir, potentially including stuff from this list:
I am sure there will be some new dragons too, likely at least one dragon of each color, and some kind of cycle of multicolor dragons. I suspect at least one cycle of differently colored or different multicolor dragons will relate to the ideals of the clans, Endurance, Speed, Savagery, Cunning, and Ruthlessness. I wouldn't also be surprised to see a set of dragons with the clan mechanics in some form. I suspect there will be quite a few dragons with morph as well. I also suspect there will be a global enchantment that makes all your face down morph creatures gain the dragon type, flying ability, and a variant of the firebreathing ability. And I suspect there will be a cycle of aura cards themed around granting or channeling draconic powers based on the clan symbols, Scales, Claw, Eye, Fang, and Wing.
I suspect we'll get a minor shard theme in whatever set has the rest of the tri-lands, probably one or two cycles of shard colored cards, or at least ones with multi-color and mono-color symbols combined in a way that is effectively dual color, but contains the colors of shards rather than wedges, although I expect very minor bits of wedge stuff to continue as well, to tie back into the original set, just like Yasova Dragonclaw already shows they are doing.
I expect we'll see some degree of Goblin and Orc tribal, probably in Fate Reforged, but if not there, then in Dragons of Tarkir. The Goblin tribal may include a reprint or two, like Goblin Chieftain.
I kinda hope for the sake of whelming wave in standard that we'll see some more cards with the types octopus, serpent, levaithan, and kraken, we already got a Levaithan in Khans at least. Might also be a good opportunity for them to print new things of those types that will eventually be in the Kiora vs. Elspeth deck on Kiora's side, depending on when that was coming out.
I expect we'll get some cards based around the nature of the 'dragon storms' of tarkir, or whatever they were called, which the dragons seem to be born from or something, which stopped around when Ugin died in the original timeline.
Some cards I might like them printing for the sake of modern (reprints or not yet modern legal) in these sets that might fit flavor wise (although they may not be good fits otherwise), include:
I kinda hope they print some colorless tools for EDH along with the Ugin themes will include non-artifact stuff that can easily and directly take care of enchantments and artifacts that are playable in black and red decks, perhaps for relatively high mana cost for such effects, but able to help deal with those sorts of permanents in the wrong deck colors, and maybe something similar for targeted creature destruction that can be played in a green deck. Basically, some non-eldrazi-tribal, instant or sorcery colorless spells that have colorless casting costs and such, rather than Ghostfire or Flame Javelin type stuff that can only go in Red for EDH. Probably sorcery speed and relatively high casting cost to make up for their flexibility in terms of color options.
I kinda want something along the lines of a legendary wall still to represent Tarkir's pan-asia great wall of china equivalent, perhaps in Dragons of Tarkir related to how the timeline has changed this would turn up, and for it to have an alternate win condition of some sort, just like things such as Maze's End or Battle of Wits.
Actually, it might be interesting to have an instant win cycle related to the 'draconic ideals' of the clans, including Test of Endurance (Endurance), Battle of Wits (cunning), and 3 new cards for the other colors, maybe a 4th one for colorless (Ugin, although I think Ugin is supposed to be related to Jeskai/cunning to some degree, due to their eye theme and Ghostfire stuff). Probably in Fate Reforged if any legendary wall like I described above is in Dragons of Tarkir.
I think the hound people (Ainok) will turn up in Fate Reforged and having some kind of family loyalty mechanic going on.
I expect the dijnn and efreet will turn up, but the dijnn won't be allied with the Jeskai equivalent stuff, and will be their own thing perhaps, or working for some dragon or something, while the efreet will probably be minions of Ugin I think, due to their and the Jeskai connections with Ugin that I suspect. I think things will turn out differently for them in the alternate future of Dragons of Tarkir, but they will still be around.
I suspect the Rakshasa will still be around, causing trouble, and making demonic deals, but won't be connected (at least as much) to the naga in the past, if the naga exist at all back then, and the naga, if they do exist, may be some form of dragon worshippers or dragonkin or fake-dragonkin who've absorbed or imitated dragon traits or something. I think the Rakshasa will be struggling under the dragon dominance to some degree, with dragons not liking and oppressing them, but also finding lots of people willing to make deals for slightly more power to better survive in a terrifying dragon-filled world, at least in Fate Reforged, but may be all but wiped out in Dragons of Tarkir, or perhaps sealed away for the most part, perhaps because their deals too often in a dangerous world brought more trouble than they were worth. I do hope we'll see some degree of naga tribal, if we still get naga cards in these sets.
I also suspect naga, if they do exist in the next couple of sets, will be mostly blue and green, slipping out of the black cards for the most part (although I'm sure at least one will have black for parity with YDragonclaw).
I'm kinda hoping for the support for two specific strategies in Dragons of Tarkir, heavy aggro, with lots worthwhile of little guys with low cmc, and explode into dragons, with ramp-type tricks or defensive creatures or control strategies that allow you time to get a dragon out. I'm hoping that we'll see some pretty good low cmc removal in Dragons of Tarkir in order to keep a reign in on the lots of powerful creatures, especially the relatively potent low cmc ones, that you don't want to lose tempo to by playing higher cmc removal.
I'm also hoping for slightly better control tools, perhaps a Stroke of Genius or Mind Spring reprint, a proper 4 cmc sweeper (maybe Day of Judgment or Mutilate), and some relatively high end 1-2 cmc removal along the lines of Doom Blade/Innocent Blood/Geth's Verdict/Celestial Flare/Go For the Throat. Also a blue (or at least partly blue) instant cantrip that makes sense to play in control at 1-2 cmc. And some more decent life-gain options for a control deck. Basically, stuff to create a control deck to reign in on Siege Rhino midrange a bit.
I'd also like some non-Rakshasa cats, 'cause I love cats, but am not really fond of demons, and I'd suspect that a world with Rakshasa would have things that they 'look like' which are used to describe them from more mundane animals. Could be reprints, could be new, could be both.
I hope they can figure out a way to not break their limited rule of 5 cmc for 'winning' morph battles, but still come up with a way to make at least a decent (maybe tier 2?) morph deck in standard.
I feel like people read too much into the Fetchlands flavor. I think they were reprinted purely as an excuse to finally bring them into Modern. They won't necessarily have any future impact on the direction of the block. I think enemy hybrid is likely going to play a larger role than ally hybrid in FRF though I will acknowledge the potential for soft wedge cards that use ally hybrid instead of enemy hybrid.
It seems likely that Bolas could show up, but would he get a new card or could Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker be the first PW card to ever be reprinted in an expert expansion? Maybe he'll be included as a sixth reprint PW in FRF alongside the new Ugin PW, then DTK gives us the last two PWs for the block. That way we get five new PW cards plus Bolas.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I don't think they'll want Serene Master to be Modern legal.
I'd also love a Shelter reprint!
I do _not_ like the idea of a delve time warp unless it is costed something like a high number then UUU. Undercosting that kind of effect is OP. I might even want them to add something like an effect to cause it to exile itself or prevent cards with the same name from being cast again by you, to prevent replay. While vorthos wise I like the idea, anything reducing costs on that kind of effect sounds scary. I think it might be more likely for them to just reprint time warp. You have to be very careful with the stuff you put delve on.
Speaking of reprints of stuff not in the Modern card pool, perhaps a few more that might be interesting useful and I could see making it into KTK block:
Dismiss ((put Ugin or Bolas as the one doing it to an opponent )) Stifle ((put Ugin as the one doing it to an opponent)) Propaganda ((put Bolas as the one doing it, and have it in Fate Reforged, as part of Bolas's plots preparing to kill Ugin)) Silver Knight ((possible dragon hunter, although I'm not sure the flavor works)) Absorb ((maybe Narset ancestor doing it to someone? Or Ugin if Ugin is jeskai colored rather than colorless in casting cost)) Undermine ((totally Bolas doing it to someone)) Ophiomancer Prosperity ((Dragons of Tarkir if it is a better present than Khans of Tarkir perhaps?)) Restore ((combos with fetchlands!)) Reincarnation ((pan-Asia themes!)) Widespread Panic ((fetchland hate and something that seems like dragons might provoke)) Forgotten Lore ((seems like several thematic options exist here))
Do we have much precedence that a rare has been reprinted in non-core, non-supplemental expansion? Apart from the Time Spiral timeshifted sheet? I couldn't think of any, and I checked the rares starting with 'A' and there were none..
This will most probably change going forward since they no longer have the core set for such reprints, but I thought it was an interesting observation nonetheless. It could be that Wizards are careful about putting "old news" at rare, since they want the rares to showcase the new set and etc., so they only do it for high-profile stuff like Thoughtseize.
Dunno, this is highly speculative, but it could be that we shouldn't be expecting "casual favourites" reprinted as rare, and that reprints at rare in standard-legal sets are exclusively for the high-profile cards.
I wasn't really listing things like that as 'casual favorites' so much as 'stuff that might work flavor wise that they might consider reprinting'. There is also the possibility of rarity shifts as well, although in the case of Imperial Hellkite, that is unlikely.
Cryptic seems too good for standard, though I guess it could have a home in FRF if the set has a modal spell subtheme...? Is triple blue hard enough in standard right now to make up for its power level? I firmly believe that the Zendikar fetches are in DTK, though let's not get into that here. An Aven Mindcensor reprint makes sense in a standard environment with fetchlands, let's hope they don't puss out and decide that it's too close to LD somehow. Mindcensor desperately needs a new frame, new art and a new price tag.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
Dragonspeaker Shaman and Dragon Egg would both be good reprints, although I get the feeling they'd go for a full cycle of Eggs similar to the cycle of monocolored Dragons in FRF. Phantasmal Dragon seems like another interesting choice seeing as we just got Frost Walker in FRF. Dragonmaster Outcast would be an interesting Mythic but I get the feeling that 4/4 Dragon tokens will be chosen over 5/5.
Checklands would be a cool mirror to the Fetches from KTK, though I'd just as soon expect Dragon tribal lands a la Ancient Amphitheater. Shoot, you don't suppose they'd go for Shocklands but with the tribal requirement, do you? Like a Plains Island that enters tapped unless you reveal a Dragon from your hand?
I'm seeing a potential cycle of mana rocks like this:
Dromoka Dragonstone3
Artifact
: Add or to your mana pool.
: Add to your mana pool. Spend this mana only to cast a Dragon creature spell.
But I could also see an updated Egg cycle:
Dromoka Egg2
Artifact 1, , Sacrifice ~: Add to your mana pool. Draw a card.
It would be similar to the Sungrass Egg cycle from Odyssey, but with swapped costs.

Dragon Arch would be strangely appropriate, given the presence of multicolored Dragons in DTK.
I'd like to see a cycle of Auras based on the Dragon attributes.
Scales of the Dragon2W
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, put two +1/+1 counters on it.
Eyes of the Dragon2U
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, look at the top two cards of your library. You may cast any number of nonland cards from among them. Then put the rest back in any order.
Fangs of the Dragon2B
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, it gets +2/+0 and gains lifelink and deathtouch until end of turn.
Wings of the Dragon2R
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, it gets +2/+0 and gains flying and first strike until end of turn.
Claws of the Dragon2G
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, it deals X damage divided as you choose among up to X target creatures defending player controls, where X is enchanted creature's power. Each of those creatures deals damage equal to its power to enchanted creature.
Dragon-based Equipment would also be cool.
Dragonscale Armor2
Artifact - Equipment 2: Put a +1/+1 counter on equipped creature.
Equip 2
Dragonfang Dagger2
Artifact - Equipment
Equipped creature gets +1/+0 and has deathtouch.
Equip 2
Dragon-Style Wings2
Artifact - Equipment
Equipped creature has flying.
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, you may attach ~ to that creature.
Equip 2

Oooh! I like the idea of Dragon based enchants, but I think I'd do it something like this:
Scales of the Dragon1W Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature.
Enchanted creature gets +1/+3.
Whenever enchanted creature would take damage, it takes 1 less damage.
Whenever a dragon enters the battlefield under your control or a dragon dies, you may return Scales of the Dragon to your hand from the graveyard.
Eyes of the Dragon1U Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature.
Enchanted creature vigilance and +1/+1
Whenever enchanted creature deals damage to a player, you may draw a card.
Whenever a dragon enters the battlefield under your control or a dragon dies, you may return Eyes of the Dragon to your hand from the graveyard.
Fangs of the Dragon1B Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature.
Enchanted creature gets +2/+0.
Whenever a creature that was dealt damage this turn by enchanted creature dies, put a +1/+1 counter on enchanted creature.
Whenever a dragon enters the battlefield under your control or a dragon dies, you may return Fangs of the Dragon to your hand from the graveyard.
Wings of the Dragon1R Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature.
Enchanted creature gets +1/+1, haste and flying.
Whenever a dragon enters the battlefield under your control or a dragon dies, you may return Wings of the Dragon to your hand from the graveyard.
Claws of the Dragon1G Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature.
Enchanted creature gets +2/+2.
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, it must be blocked if able.
Whenever a dragon enters the battlefield under your control or a dragon dies, you may return Claws of the Dragon to your hand from the graveyard.
Since Dragon tempests are a thing on Tarkir, perhaps we'll see the equivalent of Entreat the Angels for Dragons? Put X 4/4 red Dragon creature tokens with flying onto the battlefield? Would be awesome in a format with Temur Ascendancy and adequate ramp.
Talking about Dragonspeaker Shaman gave me an idea: Perhaps there could be a cycle of Dragonspeakers similar to the Warchief cycle from Scourge that each reduce the costs of Dragon spells you cast by, say, or and have an ability that's triggered whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control?
Dromoka Dragonspeaker2W
Creature - Human Cleric {U}
Dragon creature spells you cast cost less to cast.
Whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, bolster 1.
2/2
Ojutai Dragonspeaker2U
Creature - Human Wizard {U}
Dragon creature spells you cast cost less to cast.
Whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, you may draw a card. If you do, discard a card.
2/2
Silumgar Dragonspeaker2B
Creature - Human Shaman {U}
Dragon creature spells you cast cost less to cast.
Whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, each opponent loses 1 life and you gain 1 life.
2/2
Kolaghan Dragonspeaker2R
Creature - Human Shaman {U}
Dragon creature spells you cast cost less to cast.
Whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, creatures you control get +1/+0 until end of turn.
2/2
Atarka Dragonspeaker2G
Creature - Human Shaman {U}
Dragon creature spells you cast cost less to cast.
Whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, you may have it fight target creature you don't control.

And maybe a 1WW 2/2, double strike, prowess.
Dismiss ((put Ugin or Bolas as the one doing it to an opponent ))
Stifle ((put Ugin as the one doing it to an opponent))
Propaganda ((put Bolas as the one doing it, and have it in Fate Reforged, as part of Bolas's plots preparing to kill Ugin))
Silver Knight ((possible dragon hunter, although I'm not sure the flavor works))
Absorb ((maybe Narset ancestor doing it to someone? Or Ugin if Ugin is jeskai colored rather than colorless in casting cost))
Undermine ((totally Bolas doing it to someone))
Ophiomancer
Prosperity ((Dragons of Tarkir if it is a better present than Khans of Tarkir perhaps?))
Restore ((combos with fetchlands!))
Reincarnation ((pan-Asia themes!))
Widespread Panic ((fetchland hate and something that seems like dragons might provoke))
Forgotten Lore ((seems like several thematic options exist here))
Do we have much precedence that a rare has been reprinted in non-core, non-supplemental expansion? Apart from the Time Spiral timeshifted sheet? I couldn't think of any, and I checked the rares starting with 'A' and there were none..
But then I thought of Thoughtseize.
Cubetutor Peasant'ish-Funbox
Project: Khans of Tarkir Cube (cubetutor)
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
Doomsdayin'
Checklands would be a cool mirror to the Fetches from KTK, though I'd just as soon expect Dragon tribal lands a la Ancient Amphitheater. Shoot, you don't suppose they'd go for Shocklands but with the tribal requirement, do you? Like a Plains Island that enters tapped unless you reveal a Dragon from your hand?
I'm seeing a potential cycle of mana rocks like this:
Dromoka Dragonstone 3
Artifact
: Add or to your mana pool.
: Add to your mana pool. Spend this mana only to cast a Dragon creature spell.
But I could also see an updated Egg cycle:
Dromoka Egg 2
Artifact
1, , Sacrifice ~: Add to your mana pool. Draw a card.
It would be similar to the Sungrass Egg cycle from Odyssey, but with swapped costs.
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." Some more cards that might fit in themes/flavor and/or be nice reprints:
Chromatic Lantern (with new art as an elaborate paper lantern, and Takirized flavor, probably linked to Jeskai clan)
Lantern of Insight (see above)
Fleet-Footed Monk
Whirling Dervish
Cowed by Wisdom
Goblin Cohort
Inner Fire
Journeyer's Kite
Kitesail
Molting Skin
Pithing Needle
Presence of the Wise
Serpent Skin

I'd like to see a cycle of Auras based on the Dragon attributes.
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, put two +1/+1 counters on it.
Eyes of the Dragon 2U
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, look at the top two cards of your library. You may cast any number of nonland cards from among them. Then put the rest back in any order.
Fangs of the Dragon 2B
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, it gets +2/+0 and gains lifelink and deathtouch until end of turn.

Claws of the Dragon 2G
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, it deals X damage divided as you choose among up to X target creatures defending player controls, where X is enchanted creature's power. Each of those creatures deals damage equal to its power to enchanted creature.
Dragon-based Equipment would also be cool.
Artifact - Equipment
2: Put a +1/+1 counter on equipped creature.
Equip 2
Dragon-Style Blades 3
Artifact - Equipment
Equipped creature has double strike.
Equip 2
Dragonfang Dagger 2
Artifact - Equipment

Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, you may attach ~ to that creature.
Equip 2
Dragonclaw Gauntlets 2
Artifact - Equipment
Equipped creature gets +4/+0.
Equip 4

Whenever enchanted creature attacks, it must be blocked if able.
Whenever a dragon enters the battlefield under your control or a dragon dies, you may return Claws of the Dragon to your hand from the graveyard.
Dromoka Dragonspeaker 2W
Creature - Human Cleric {U}
Dragon creature spells you cast cost less to cast.
Whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, bolster 1.
2/2
Ojutai Dragonspeaker 2U
