The other stuff you posted seems fine, but I think the card in the quote from twinfrodo possibly breaks the color pie. Untapping lands, and basically giving your mana back for playing stuff it is typically a blue effect, Palinchron is what this seems to be a color shifted version of, Great Whale and Rewind also seem to use this mechanic. I could be wrong though and blue could share this color pie bit with white, I just can't recall white doing anything like this.
Oh I agree, that card won't and shouldn't exist. I can't think of any colorshifted cards from Planar Chaos that break the color pie this bad, and I think Mark has been clear about how he didn't like what they did in that set. I just want it for my own purely egoistical purposes because I have an GW Angel tribal EDH deck that ramps with lands like Gaea's Cradle, Serra's Sanctum and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, so I got overexited and went into "ooh gimme" mode.
With faries, I'm not sure what you'd want specifically. They are one of the weirder tribals, due to being heavier on little utility tricks from ETB. Hm... maybe one that is basically Disperse on ETB with a faerie attached? Or maybe something as backup/variant for Scion of Oona or 5-8 of it in your deck that gives other faeries +1/+1. Or maybe a faerie that searches the library for other faerie cards on ETB to put into your hand?
I'm not a big fan of another Oona, I think that spamming +1/+1 lords would be stepping on the toes of that other blue tribe. The other two are good. The tempo of the Disperse one is in-theme with the tribe, and the second one looks tasty with CA attached to a creature. But can you make those with flying, flash and aggressive stats for three mana or less? That's the hard part. At four mana it's useless because it would compete with Cryptic Command and Mistbind Clique, and lose.
Flying, Flash, Agressive Stats, decent ability tacked on
Pick two. Except we are talking about faries, so you can't give up flying, so pick one of the others.
Hmm...
Vanishsprite1UU Creature - Faerie
Flying
If Vanishsprite becomes the target of a spell or ability, sacrifice it.
When Vanishsprite leaves the battlefield, you may return another target nonland permanent to it's owner's hand. It's power is delicate, but it won't go down without making others disappear with it. 3/3
Breeze Seeker1UU Creature - Faerie
Flying
When Breeze Seeker enters the battlefield, you may search for your library for a creature with flying with converted mana cost less than the number of basic islands you control, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library. 1/1
Needle Archer1UB Creature - Faerie Archer
Flying t: Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature. 0/1
I'd like to see some power returned to standard. I'd be happy with a few older cycles of cards such as the Gaea's Cradle Cycle OR the Wish Cycle. I'd want Eternal Witness back and Zombify. Or the Vivid Lands that'd be nice because who doesn't want every single color combo with any amount of color's playable. Heck make a super silly M16 with a gimmick of every card being Multi-Colored, Reprint all the Vivid Lands and Ancient Ziggurat and Reflecting Pool. Note: They would never do any of these things but I would love if they did unless they do a cycle of 4 Colored legendaries!! would be epic
We're going to see some tie-ins with KTK block's mechanics and themes, like how M11 and M12 both had a lot of artifacts and artifact-related effects to tie-in with Scars of Mirrodin. I see Goblin Tunneler returning, he'd play great with Morph, Manifest, and the DTK counterpart.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I myself would like to see either glorious anthem or story circle reprinted in this set, since neither of those cards has been reprinted for many sets.

Since M16 is the last core set I actually expect them to make it go out with a bang. Especially with MM2 around the corner. If M16 doesn't go out with a bang its going to have some stern competition with MM2.
Slivers. I would actually like to see more slivers printed. The last core set is a good a time as any.
A squirrel card please. I don't even care if it is just a 1/1 for G with Forestwalk. I would enjoy seeing a new squirrel card.
Dwarves. If WOTC feels Slivers has pretty much run its course with new cards, why not print new Dwarves? A fan favorite that could be great to see in standard play.
Full Art basics. You want something memorable in a core set? Full Art basics are something that people clamor for. A large amount of people would love to get their hands one some, myself included.
Urza Tron. You want to introduce cool lands? Urza lands actually fit that niche and were being printed in 5th, 8th and 9th edition core sets.
Legends. Mono-colored, dual-colored, tri-colored, quad-colored, or rainbow it does not matter but Legendary Creatures do matter. Legends feel like a necessary thing to get a variety of people hooked and interested; from veterans to the greenhorns both can appreciate a legendary creature depending on where their interests lay.
Lightning Bolt. This so can see print. Its got that raw power that people would want when compared to a Shock. Its also an example of "origin" in which Lightning Bolt was one of the original burn spells in the game.
New Planeswalkers. It would honestly feel like a bit of a coop out if the same planeswalker cards were just reprinted. How about a three mana Chandra? A new Garruk or Nissa card? A new card for Jace or a different walker? A new white planeswalker card that isn't Ajani X.0? Not Liliana Vess or Liliana of the Dark Realms? This maybe the tallest order from my wishlist but it feels necessary to say it as the last core set would be an ample opprotunity to bring new planeswalker cards (old characters or new characters) into the fray. After all... if it becomes a missed opporotunity we now have to be very reliant on each new block bringing in brand new versions of old walkers or brand new walkers in general where they would need a reason to be on the same plane together. Although it is true that original five walkers were printed in Lorwyn, that was because they had not hammered out the ruling for Planeswalkers by the time of Future Sight which was the set they were meant to be placed in. Which leads into one of my questions: How many walkers will be in a block now? 3-2? 2-3? 5-0? 4-1? 0-5?
M16 would be also the perfect set to see how the time tampering in Tarkir really affected the multiverse.
Merfolk/Goblin/Soldier/etc tribal. Tribal decks are fun and quiet easy to use for newer players.
I would love to see new cards from Dominiria even if we never truly visit that plane again in future blocks.
Counterspell instead of Cancel. That would be a powerful card to see return to standard. With it being the last core set it has less repercussions than it normally would as once M16 rotates out, so does Counterspell which would give them free reign again to just print Cancel instead.
the set will want to play well with Khans and have hints of things to come. So I expect some Dragon enablers sprinkled here and there. It would be nice if they reprinted some of the cards that are not slated for MM2, but will not break standard either. I would put Crucible of Worlds on my wishlist, but with fetchlands in standard, it might be too good.
Also would be nice to see whatever land cycle that doesn't make it into MM2 be the land cycle for M16.
It would also be nice for the last core set to have a real amount of gold cards...Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker is not a significant amount of gold in a core set.

I am looking for Date Stamped promos from Khans of Tarkir block so I can finish my set. Check my wants if you have any.
Currently offering 2 non-foil Kolighan's Command for a Date Stamped foil!
I want to see the triumphant return of strong removal and counterspells to Standard. If Abzan can cast Siege Rhino, why can't Counterspell come back? Or Lightning Bolt? Or Day of Judgment? These cards were fine when creatures were weaker, so why wouldn't they be fine with creatures at an appropriate power-level to compete?
counterspell is too good for modern and standard... however remand would be nice but again I am hoping for that in MM2 there is prohibit that would be nice to be in modern but is awkward in standard. But kicker as the returning mechanic would be cool. I am honestly happy with disdainful stroke as the standard 2 cmc counter right now.
The card I want most to enter modern is basically unprintable in a core set and really hard in a standard set as well baleful strix
I would kinda like a 1UU flying creature.. we have cloudform now I guess but I think it being creature type elemental is very important. I would like to see a return of Mono blue Devotion.
Although of course not _all_ of those, just enough of things _like_ that including some reprints as needed to reign in on it. Notably we already have some stuff like Surrak Dragonclaw and Pearl Lake Ancient in the current Standard.
Reigning in on the rest would involve things like hexproof, protection, regeneration, toughness 4 or more, indestructible, death and ETB triggers, or other things like that on most creatures with higher cmc than 3 or so.
Might be a great way to help Modern bring in a few things it needs for control, like Counterspell and Innocent Blood.
Sky spirit would also be nice, since it is a very elegant and simple design, nothing about it connects it to a specific plane or place in the story, and it is now acceptable to have multicolored cards in core sets, plus, I am certain that players of modern format would very much appreciate this card being made legal in it.

I 100% agree they are going to go out with a HUGE HUGE HUGE bang. It will be stuffed with splashy stuff. I just keep feeling like the '20th Anniversary' they did didn't really feel all THAT big--I think they had made decision to change things by then and they decided to save it up for M16.
It also happens to be the reason I think we ARE going back to Zendikar next year too. ZEN block was the single biggest influx of new MtG players in history. They're gonna try to do it again. Big year next year. The timing is just too perfect.
I'm incredibly excited to see what is in M16. Hope I'm right.
My wishes for M16 are a tarmagoyf reprint, a new Ugin walker post Tarkir card, a new Bolas walker card if we do not get it in Dragons of Tarkir and no Jace. Tamyo would be a nice reprint.

All your base are belong to us!
RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
This would NEVER happen, but I would love to see Lightning Bolt in the new border.
Why do you believe that it shall never happen?
Hey!
I think I should rephrase. I meant it wouldn't happen in M16 because they probably don't want Soulfire Grand Master Buyback Bolt-helixes all day in standard. Monastery Mentor also seems unnecessary haha. Jeskai burn would LOVE bolt too much as well. It'd also make Lightning Strike almost unplayable. But this is just my opinion, but I hope they do reprint Lightning Bolt, if not M16 maybe Modern Masters 2015.
It'd also make Lightning Strike almost unplayable. But this is just my opinion, but I hope they do reprint Lightning Bolt, if not M16 maybe Modern Masters 2015.
If they did print Lightning Bolt in M16 that would be a good thing as Lightning Strike in both Theros block and M15 will be rotating out when the fall set "Blood" comes out. If not Lightning Bolt, I would rather see Incinerate reprinted as I would rather not see Searing Spear again which was functionally reprinted into Lightning Strike.

If not Lightning Bolt, I would rather see Incinerate reprinted as I would rather not see Searing Spear again which was functionally reprinted into Lightning Strike.
I agree, I hope Lightning Bolt gets reprinted, but the same argument for Bolt could be similar to why Liliana of the Veil wasn't reprinted in M15. Those few months might be too good for Bolt in that standard. I'd much rather see Bolt than another "1R instant deal 3 to something", or at least something fun like Chain of Plasma.
Thinking about it, I want to take advantage of the last chance to have stuff that plays well with some Theros block stuff in Standard:
In particular, I'd like to see some more scry, particularly a Serum Visions reprint, and some stuff that triggers off scry or things along those lines like Knowledge and Power or Flamespeaker Adept except properly constructed playable. I also like how scry can potentially work well with manifest, but it needs some deeper scry on more playable cards or a decent engine than most of the Theros block stuff, to better control topdecks.
I'd also like to see at least one each of the creature types of Whelming Wave in the form of constructed playable creatures of different mana costs in blue, to help make options for a final Whelming Wave deck (some might also wind up in Kiora vs. Elspeth?).
I'd like reprints of Modern staples that aren't going to be seen in Modern Masters 2 that can be fit in.
I'd also like LOTS of reprints of cards from non-Modern-legal stuff that would be good in Modern, many of which I listed in my opening post or you can find on the appropriate thread in the Modern section. Ones helpful to 'pure' control decks that are at least partly blue (UW, UWR, UB, UWB control schemes in Modern) would be particularly appreciated, especially Counterspell itself, Force Spike, Propaganda and Innocent Blood.
I'd also like to see some new cards for Modern control decks somewhat along the lines of Murmurs from Beyond, but putting things back into the library (bottom or shuffled) rather than feeding the graveyard, designed help control refill their hand and go long game, but not as useful for combo, which favors card selection and/or graveyard, or tempo which likes to avoid mana flooding and also prefers selection or at least lower cmcs compared to control.
I'd like to see Act on Impulse like new 'Chandrawing' effects for red, perhaps a 'Chandrawing' 3 drop 1RR enchantment that is basically just the Khans mode of Outpost Siege, or maybe a 2 drop version exile 2 variation of Act on Impulse itself.
I'd like to see a return of strong removal, compared to recent sets which have had a tendency towards over-costed removal, and avoiding decent 2 drop and 1 drop removal. In particular, I'd like to see some stuff that will be Modern playable in the 2 drop slot in white, Innocent Blood in black. In general, I want to see some improvements to the Modern removal suite at CMCs it is weak in for various colors.
I'd like to see more cantrips, particularly Shelter and Dismiss (Dismiss just to be a budget player's variant on Cryptic Command, or in weird situations CC 5-8), a Murder variant that cantrips (more expensive than and difficult to cast than Slay or Execute, possibly less expensive and without the color restrictions of Annihilate, and doesn't need anti-regen clause, so basically just cantripping Murder between the costs of Annihilate and Murder itself), Slice in Twain or at least a white color shifted version of it, Smash.
I'd like to see Wall of Blossoms and a blue color shifted variant of that and Wall of Omens, cause blue is supposed to be the primary color of card draw and also happens to like big toughness critters, something like 'Library Shelf', 'Wall of Books', or 'Wall of Runes' might work for a name.
I'd like to see more color shifted versions of cards we often see that are still within their new color's pie, or at least tweaked to fit it.
I'd like to see ways for black to deal with artifacts, and both black and red to deal with enchantments, that are done in relatively in-color ways, perhaps not directly referencing artifacts or enchantments, and likely far less efficient or direct as other colors can, but able to deal with already played ones, rather than black's discard stuff, perhaps involving equivalent sacrifices of permanents for black, or some kind of harsh damage punishment if they don't sacrifice it for red. Keep things friendly for Vorthos by not doing things too directly, and friendly for pie balance by not doing it for particularly good, although not completely unplayable, mana costs.
I'd like to see decent permanents in every color that play into devotion strategies, including a decent 3 drop that is all that one color of mana for each color, and a similar set of 2 drops, so that devotion can have a nice last hurrah with mono-color strategies, perhaps even ones that further reward you for sticking with your color in various ways linked to that color's pie. Predator Ooze might be a nice choice for the green 3 drop.
I'd like to see the blue 1 drop hexproof dude to be 3rd and final 'bogle', alongside Slippery Bogle and Gladecover Scout, basically a color shifted Gladecover Scout with different creature type(s) and a relatively generic name for ease of reprinting, since hexproof is also part of blue's color pie. Along those same lines of hexproof being part of blue's color pie, I'd like to see blue's variant on Alpha Authority, a 2 drop enchantment that grants hexproof and some other minor benefit, perhaps the blue one would give +0/+2 in addition to the hexproof?
I'd like them to do as many reprints of cards that are hard to reprint flavor wise but would be nice being Modern legal, but are not from modern legal sets (too old or were never Standard type stuff like Commander products), since this will be the last core set. Especially stuff involving dead or changed characters or finished events that can't be just reprinted in a 'return to' block.
I don't care if the limited is relatively terrible as long as they take maximum advantage of this final core set for Standard and Modern, since this may be their last chance to bring things to Modern in a way that completely ignores flavor in a long while, without drastically changing the way they handle Modern, and this will be part of the new faster Standard rotations, so powerful stuff shouldn't stick around TOO long to completely screw up Standard for a long while.
I'd like to see more decent stuff that might see play in Modern that encourages mono-color strategies, that will have good synergy with devotion decks, and potentially make some of those more playable in Modern and post-RTR Standard while Theros is on it's last stretch. I'd also like to see more non-basic land hate.
I'd like to see more stuff touching on aspects of various color pie elements that are rarely focused on, like Black's love of beauty and it's own form of 'purity', Red's loving and artistic sides, green's preservation of resources for another day and retention of ancient knowledge, and white's taxing of it's own people to attain the resources to protect them and win. Red's purity of passion and purpose and love for freedom and power to escape restrictions and control, and promotion of freedom for themselves and others. Blue's desire for self-improvement through gaining knowledge and skills and physical transformation via magic or whatnot. Black's mimickry of other color's pie sections for a cost. Blue's mimicry of other colors 'color' traits and modification of mana color to help splash and disguise itself. Green's hate of things that go against or disrupt the natural order of things. White's love for honorable tactics and hate for dishonorable tactics (perhaps in the form of some kind of reward and punishment system). And so on. Basically I want to see things done that are in colors' pie sections, but rarely seen Vorthos wise and/or mechanically speaking in those colors.
Edit: I'd also like to see more simple cards that should exist but don't, or at least don't in Modern, like, say, Fabricate/Idyllic Tutor variants for Black (Sorcery), Red (Instant), and Green (Creature), or a blue enchantment that does nothing except you draw a card during your upkeep (no giving opponents extra cards as well, or increasing the amount every turn like Mind Unbound or drawing more if you fulfill certain conditions and being legendary like Honden of Seeing Winds).
I want a huge, scary mythic angel. A big, eff off flashy one with impactful abilities, like Iona or Angel of Serenity or Akroma. They go so well in core sets.

Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
I like Lightning Strike and stand by it as the new staple 3 damage burn. However, if the set's returning mechanic allows for it, I wouldn't mind seeing a unique spin on the standard burn spell like Burst Lightning. I wonder though: Might we see multiple returning mechanics as a way to send off the Core Sets in style? Crazy theory: If DTK's mechanics are all aligned with allied pairs, perhaps M16 has a mechanic for each enemy pair?

To keep Counterspell in line, they could print stuff like the above Banefire, and also things like:

RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
Why do you believe that it shall never happen?
“When the people fear the government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”-Thomas Jefferson
“A vote is like a rifle; its usefulness depends upon the character of its user.”-Theodore Roosevelt
“Patriotism means to stand by one's country; it does not mean to stand by one's president.”-Theodore Roosevelt

I'd like to see more stuff that is good in Modern that has anti-counterspell text (like Abrupt Decay or Great Sable Stag), anti-discard text (like Loxodon Smiter, Obstinate Baloth, Guerrilla Tactics, Dodecapod, Pure Intentions, Quagnoth, Spiritual Focus, and Wilt-Leaf Liege), and various protections from being removed, like high toughness, hexproof, protections, regeneration, recursive effects, self-flickering, self-bouncing, etc.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
Doomsdayin'
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
