Although WotC has not yet announced the next duel deck set, and has proven to be difficult to predict in that regard, I believe that a theme of "specters versus archons" would be very awesome, since those two creature types are similar in the fact that they are all flying creatures that very strongly embody the colors of black and white (and other colors, on occasion), but also very different, as well, making them excellent opponents for this deck series.
Therefore, this thread is a wishlist for cards that players may wish to see reprinted in a possible specters versus archons deck.
The archon deck may be more difficult to design, since archons do not have a common mechanical identity, apart from having flying. I believe that the best face card for the archon deck would be either ashen rider or Krond the dawn-clad to allow multiple colors in the deck. Other creatures that would work well for the deck would be archon of justice, archon of redemption, archon of the triumvirate, celestial archon, ornitharch, and vengeful archon. I am less certain about non-creature cards, however, since the archon deck does not seem to have a central theme to it, the way that the specter deck does.
What does everyone else say? If a "specters versus archons" duel deck was ever printed, what cards would you like to see in it?

I'm pretty sure I already asked for this in another thread. The Archons vs. Specters specifically. And in the Base Spec section of the forum at that.
Yes, I do recall you mentioning that, but I wished to have a dedicated thread for this subject, since I do not recall if you mentioned any specific cards that you would want to see in such a set.

I initially planned to include some card choices, but when looking them over, I became frustrated as I realized there weren't that many options and there were some color choice and power level issues on the archon side based on the cards I wanted, which included the following:
I kinda wanted Ashen Rider and Hypnotic Specter as the cover dudes, unless they came up with better options, but the power level difference between specters and archons was kinda obvious, and I was concerned about balance under current card pools for both. I think they'd both need sets that had minor focus on their tribal and some other options from a few more sets before they had the depth and breadth needed to form a balanced pair of duel decks with good focus on the creatures involved.

For the "specters" deck, hypnotic specter is an obvious inclusion, but I believe that Sedraxis specter would be the best leader/"face card" for the deck, since that would allow more colors in the deck, and therefore a greater variety of reprints, inducing blazing specter and blizzard specter. Other creatures that would be excellent are abyssal specter, Guul Draz specter, nightveil specter, scythe specter, and silent specter. For non-creatrue cards, the deck should have cards that either cause a player to discard cards or benefit from them doing so, such as specter's wail, mind rot, blightning, brainbite, helm of the ghastlord, quest for the nihil stone, bloodchief ascension, or shrieking affliction.
