The past decade has brought us back to a lot of planes... except the original plane, Dominaria.
I know much of the first half of Magic's life was set there, but wouldn't it be interesting to revisit old places, like Tolaria, Urborg, Keldon, and Vesuvia?
Would a return to Dominaria be accepted?
If you could revisit a part of Dominaria, what would you like to see come back?
I'd bet that if they do a return to it,
it will either be a "Healing Dominaria" block,
or (more likely IMO),
the end of the plane forever.
Emrakul and Kozilek are MIA-
Maybe instead of "Return to Zendikar,"
we should be expecting "End of Dominaria"?

I'd rather Return to Dominaria and have End of Zendikar: where the Ulamog brood lineage is face rolling Nissa and her rag-tag group of battle hardened survivors. Emrakul and Kozilek ejected to find more food/better food and left the remains of Zendikar to Ulamog. Ulamog's obv. got this whole Zendikar campaign thing on lock imo.
Rosewater answered a question about reprints in standard that had to do with Dominaria, his words were. " And as for Llanowar Elves, I doubt we have seen the last of Dominaria. " That being the case, they may still return to Dominaria for standard, and no they cannot destroy it without a huge retcon because its sorta the center of the multiverse and if it went everything would devolve into chaos or some such, the story guru's would be able to explain better. Suffice to say there is a reason all those planeswalkers gave up their sparks to mend Dominaria, it was either mend it or the mutliverse ends sorta scenario.
I definitely would like to see a return to Dominaria again, at some point, since it is the plane on which most of the early and most epic stories occurred, and it has not been seen since the Time Spiral block, so I am certain that many long-time players are wondering what has been occurring on it since then.

I'd love to see a return to Dominaria. Of course, I started playing with 4th Edition, so I'm not exactly the player base Wizards caters to. I lap up quirky, nostalgic cards like we saw in the Time Spiral block. However, I bet they could make a return to Dominaria sell if they wanted to.
I would love a return to dominaria, it would be interesting to see how the world restored itself. It would be nice to see the state of Benalia, Urborg etc. It would also allow them a little more leeway with reprints, given the loss of core sets. Maybe this should be the fall set in 2017, since then we will miss the core set for the first time.

I think they can't make a 'Return to Dominaria' anywhere else than a supplemental product as Dominaria flavorwise is linked to Legacy/Vintage formats. They can't bring it in Modern.
I expect the 'Magic:Origins' product to be something like that: being some sort of 'Legacy Masters' with prints of Serra & friends Planeswalker cards as well as one or two cool reprints or old-mechanics revisited.

Well... yes, it is the nexus, but it isn't the first nexus. There have been other centers in the past, and while it would be an upheaval, things would settle eventually.
Might be interesting if they did Return to Dominara as the set after M16. Sort of as a way to set off the new Standard block setup, they have something of a return to Magic's past, and the core of the multiverse. Maybe as something of another step along the path of getting the various planeswalkers ready for a Return to Zendikar block to fight the Eldrazi, perhaps some of them head to Dominaria because it is something of a planeswalker 'retirement home' of sorts at this point, with ones that aren't actively adventuring often settling there for a time because after the Mending it was realized that Dominaria needs to be protected to some degree in order to prevent the multiverse from going screwy, and some of the 'in the know' walkers know about it, especially ones that were around pre-mending like Sorin and Liliana, or ones merely aware of it's existence, like Elspeth and Koth seem to be in order to pick up Venser. Might allow for some interesting reprints in particular.
I think we have seen "the end of Dominaria" like 3 times.
I believe Dominaria is among the most wanted planes to return (maybe stands behind Zendikar only). Dominaria's baggage is so huge that nearly anything can be done there in terms of story. Also, since it is kind of wasted last time we've seen it, they can start some fresh new events there.
And Phyrexians are still a thing, so they might want to overtake Dominaria once more.

Eh, the only reason the Phyrexians wanted Dominaria so bad was because Yawgmoth was fixated on it. Now that the phyrexians think Yawgmoth was a schmuck, they won't be any more interested in Dominaria than any other plane.

The entirety of Time Spiral is Dominarian.

What does flavor have to do with formats?
