I speculate that Daxos will be a planeswalker in a future set.
Pending this is true and not just drabble (there was a book released so idk), this is what I'm going on.
Spoilers reference "Godsend" and/or Theros' storyline.
Daxos. Daxos dies and is brought back as one of the Returned, (future) Daxos' somehow gets Elspeth's spark or his own ignites freeing him from his existence as Returned.
Daxos -> Daxos Returned -> Daxos Reborn
Together, alone in their tent, Daxos and Elspeth finally realized their feelings for each other. But it was not to be. Xenagos appeared as they slept, thrilled with how well she followed his plan. He controlled her and brought back her darkest memory, trapped with the Phyrexian Obliterator looming over her, but she struck out and killed it... only realizing too late that she had just killed Daxos.
They confronted Xenagos and battled the god, until at last Elspeth struck him down. As Xenagos's body fell back to Theros, Elspeth offered her life in trade for Daxos, a deal he took gladly. Ajani insisted they could escape, the battle had taken its toll, and Nylea warned the pair that they must flee before Erebos or Heliod found them. They managed to reach Nykthos again before Heliod appeared and using her own weapon murdered Elspeth. Ajani took his dying friend back to Theros and prepared to fight the agents of Erebos that were coming to claim his friend, but Brimaz's warriors ambushed him, pulling him away for his own good as his friend died.
As her life ebbed, she prayed to the god that had killed her, asking for peace at last.
Seems like the perfect setup to transition into a new planeswalker, especially if she is dead and exchanged her life and somehow her spark went with it. Maybe I'm just crazy. Also if source is true,
I don't have the novel and don't think I want to pay for it. (I suck at reading) So normally I just read wiki pages but they're somewhat limited. Could you fill me in via PM or spoiler post?
I'd wager that Elspeth doesn't actually die, as they left it pretty open ended (least on the wiki).
I like Elspeth to a point, but seriously? All she's done is run away from everything. White may be the forces of life, but it's also about honor and courage. Which from all I read, she kinda lacked.
I'd rather her die and some other white planeswalker took over.

Any information would be nice =]
Elspeth does die and Daxos comes back as a returned.

Ah, so more likely, if anything, a Mikaeus treatment. Wouldn't be impossible for a Daxos Planeswalker down the road still. Perhaps spark ignites and breaks him free from being a returned. Daxos > Daxos Returned > Daxos Redeemed
The tragedy is that she gave up her life to bring Daxos back only to be braught back as a returned... So if anything I could see elspeth somehow comming back herself.. But I think she finally has peace and that is that.

I think so too. They have to work new walkers in eventually. I wish Venser was still alive. He was my favorite.
Also ,did they give up on Elspeth?
Also did Xenegos died or just fall from nyx?
Godsend II released last week.
Elspeth: DEAD (called it!)
I don't know who 'they' are but Elspeth is Erebos' now, in exchange for Daxos' release.
Xenagos is probably dead but they left that open.
