Now that WotC has announced that they shall print a new Commander/EDH product every year, I wonder what preexisting cards they may print in it, and I thus shall make my own wish list of cards that I desire to see reprinted in it. There are many cards that I desire to see reprinted, so my list may be long, but I shall attempt to provide my reasons for desiring each card.
-The primordial cycle from Gatecrash, since EDH is often a multiplayer format, and the abilities of each primordial increase with the number of players in the game.
-The ascension cycle from Zendikar, since each of those cards can be very useful in a format such as EDH, where players typically have far more mana to use and games can last for long durations, although pyromancer ascension is not very useful, since EDH is a singleton format.
-The reflection cycle from Shadowmoor, because that is another cycle that works well in a format with large-scale plays and large amounts of mana.
-The incarnation cycle from Lorwyn, for the same reasons as the previous cycles, although Dread, Purity, and Vigor are the most appealing and appropriate to the format, in my mind.
-Havoc Demon, Pestilence Demon, and/or Massacre Wurm, since all of their abilities are excellent (i.e., devastating to their controller's opponents) in multiplayer games.
-Pristine Angel, since she has never been reprinted, and would be an excellent card for games in this format, in my opinion.
-Iona, Shield of Emeria, since players of this format shall often be able to afford her high mana cost, and her ability is extremely powerful in that format.
-The cycle of legendary dragons from Planeshift, to serve as generals, and to complement the inclusion of the legendary dragons from Planar Chaos in the first Commander set.
-Caged Sun, as it can provide a massive power boost to any deck, especially mono- or dual-colored decks.
-All four legendary angels from Avacyn Restored, since their abilities are likely to be very useful in that format.
-The cycles of the beacons from Fifth Dawn and/or the zeniths from Mirrodin Besieged, because their effects can be significant and massive in games of EDH/commander.
-The cycle of Praetors from New Phyrexia, for the same reasons that I have already given for the other cycles that I have mentioned here.
-The cycle of lieges from Shadowmoor and Eventide, since they provide powerful benefits to decks of the appropriate colors.
-The new Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts, because her abilities may be very useful in this format, and debt to the deathless, which I am certain would be utterly devastating in this format, with its absurdly massive amounts of mana and multiplayer games.
Wow, that is quite a list, in my mind; those are some of the cards that I desire to see reprinted eventually in WotC's annual Commander product. There may be other cards that I would find as excellent candidates for reprints, but I can post them later, since this post is already very long as it currently is.
What does everyone else here have to say? What cards do you wish to see reprinted in the annual Commander products?
What does everyone else here have to say? What cards do you wish to see reprinted in the annual Commander products?
Cards that are hard to get nowadays because of the shortage of supply. That and EDH staples like Sol ring which even after being reprinted is still in shortage evidenced by their increased price
Eh, I don't really think dirt cheap cards like the Primordials need a reprint. I'd rather see slots used for cards that are becoming expensive and hard to get a hold of. Some cards I'd like to see are:
Command Tower Needs another reprint. It's a huge staple and has already tripled in price since it's print in the last decks.
Sol Ring Same as above. EDH staple that dipped in price thanks to the reprint but has doubled again. Like Command Tower it's usable in most EDH decks so there is a large demand for it that will just keep growing.
Thran Dynamo Great mana maker that's very hard to find
Woodfall Primus. Great utility creature that's played in most Green EDH decks and has never had a reprint.
Demonic Tutor. All around staple for any deck that has black. Definitely a card you want a lot of copies of. Liliana art please.
I'd prefer not to see cards like Aura of Silence that can easily be dumped into a core set or modern expansion take up too many slots. It's the cards that we would not see hitting a regular release, like Oubliette or Regrowth or Fanning the Flames or All is Dust that have awkward baggage, whether it be wording, power level, keywords, or just being a poor fit overall for most sets, that should really be shining in these products.
Also, there's no real need to tie up a rare slot with an upshifted card like Voice of All that could easily be reprinted back at Uncommon since it's not impacting any draft picks in a preconstructed product.
Cards that will never be reprinted in a set because they'd ruin standard (specially those that haven't been printed in a non-promo modern frame). Hymn to Tourach, Chainer's Edict, Chain Lightning, Demonic Tutor, Crucible of Worlds, Strip Mine, Wasteland, etc.
But most of all, I'd like NEW and effective mana fixing such as fetchlands and dual lands ruled with "Your commander's color identity" so that Legacy players won't scalp our product for their decks.

Oh yes, Crucible. God I want a reprint of that card so badly.
Rather than specific cards, I am hoping for specific deck strategies. This is taking in Mind that they did the Planar Chaos dragons last time and will be doing the Invasion dragons next.
1) I'd like to see the BUR deck that consists of Clone effects and Act of Treason effects to steal your opponent's creatures and then attack or sac them.
2) For the BRG deck, I'd love to see beef and lots of beef. Lots of ramp and fight cards.
3) For the WUB deck, I wanna see a combo deck that is better and more appealing than the Zedruu the Greathearted stuff we were feds last time.
4) The RGW deck should be a more aggressive token deck. Ghave, Guru of Spores was fun, but didn't feel all in aggressive. I would like to see tons of Goblin tokens, Soldier tokens, and Elf tokens. With the new toys from Innistrad and RTR, I can see a humonoid token deck really being fun.
5)With a GWU deck, and I know a lot of people will hate on this idea, I would love to see an official group hug or pillowfort deck. It would be a great way to introduce the sit back and wait deck, that Political Power was supposed to be, that really delves into politics. Having Gamazoa tribe in force and a heafty amount of counter and pump magic, but with few creatures and then put in a few unblockables to finish people off after they have finished killing each other. I like the idea at least.

Petition to stop WotC from making M:tG cards that do not fit my specific likes! Join the revolution! If not you, then who?
Ah, women. They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent.-Friedrich Nietzsche
Sometimes I feel like the word "interactivity" around here is akin to the word "electrolytes" in sports drinks. The public doesn't really know what it means, but they figure it's a good thing to have.
You list WAY too many mythics on that list. They had 3 in the last set and 2 were new.
I also don't see cycles unless they make more generic decks.
I know that I listed many mythic rares and many cycles in my list, above, but those are simply cards that I wish to see reprinted. I specifically posted this thread in the baseless speculation sub-forum because I have no basis for my speculation; these are simply the cards that I desire.
As for other cards that I wish to see reprinted, I now have several more to add to this list.
-Decimate, Violent Ultimatum, and/or Cruel Ultimatum, since I am certain each of these cards would be very effective in this format for crushing one's opponents.
-Decree of Savagery, to greatly increase the power of creatures on the battlefield, and Entreat the Angels, to supply more creatures to the battlefield.
-Legacy Weapon, since it has immense utility in this format. While is does require all five colors of mana to function properly, this format should be capable of providing it with sufficient mana to use its ability at least once.
-Planar Portal, which is usually too slow for formats such as vintage, legacy, or modern, but is perfectly suited to this format, with its longer games and great amounts of mana.
-Door to Nothingness, because it is an excellent way to defeat an opponent with style and drama, which certainly seems to be an aspect of this format.
-The cycle of tri-lands from the Alara block, since they provide excellent mana fixing for their controller, and players of this format can often afford the drawback of them entering the battlefield tapped.
Personally I am hoping for sets of precons; maybe Shard colors this time. (I still prefer wedge though). I think Its very hard to enter EDH because you have to colloect 6o or so singles (unlike 60 card decks - which is around 10-15 different cards).

Actually, it is not that hard to get into commander anymore.
Both the current core set (M13) and Dragon's Maze features Intro Packs containing a legendary creature, which serves as a good basis for a commander deck.
It's quite easy to do, buy the Intro pack featuring the legendary creature you want to start with, say Gruul Siege (for R/G fun) and remove any doubles and colors you can't play.
And that is a pretty solid basis for a commander deck. Now you simply have to add green and red cards, as well as land that produce green and red mana from your collection to the deck, alternately open boosters or other intro packs in those colors, and add cards from them. Then as your collection grows, you can replace cards as you see fit.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
In terms of new cards, I *really* want a good (W/B) Commander that supports either Reanimator or Life Drain.
Both are very common strategies for those colors, but the Generals are mostly token-based removal on a stick. Obzedat, Ghost Council is usable, but not very specific.
Something that doubled all lifedrains,
or with an activated ability similar to Geth of the Vault would be *most* appreciated.
I also want more (U/G) Generals,
though I'm beginning to doubt they'll ever outdo Momir Vig, Simic Visionary for me...
He can easily fetch up whatever awesome new "Generals" they happen to print

How would crucible of worlds ruin standard? Terramorphic expanse every turn is not exactly game breaking. The last time it was in standard, during Xth Edition, it wasn't even played.
chainers edict could see a reprint if the block has flashback, it isn't an overpowered card.

Crucible of Worlds is very powerful in a deck that can utilize ways to get your lands into your graveyard (either through mill, discard, or sacrifice) as a cost for some effect.
Without such effects however, it is merely a decent rare and anti-LD tech.

I also wish to see Epic Struggle and Mortal Combat reprinted, since I am certain that this format is more than capable of using those cards to their fullest potential.
Akroma's Memorial and True Conviction give all of their controller's creatures massive power-ups, so thus would be useful in this format.
The only color that DOESN'T have 2 leylines is Black. They could just go for the original 5 and put 1 in each deck, it'd be a nice addition. With the original ones you'd get Lifeforce (which is pretty freaking good and is sure to appease all the timmies that want their big guys through), Lightning (Fun for spellslinging decks), Singularity (Inferior to Anticipation, sadly), Meek (TOKENSWARM!) and Void (The only black option - and a great one). So yeah, good value there.
