1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
because Green decks should be able to play white and red cards as though they were green cards?
If Druid of the Anima, Birds of Paradise, Utopia Tree, etc don't do what you want... its because you want to turn infinite green or colorless mana into red or white... and I don't see that as an improvement to modern. But then I don't play Modern competitively all that much, so what do I know.
If you want to turn infinte green into other colors just use orochi leafcaller
Yes, but then it wouldn't be ELF-ball, now would it.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Obviously we have to have a vanilla 4/4 artifact Sliver for 7.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Goblin Settler? With flickering and cloning effects? Not fun.

I might predict a walker in this will have a static ability
They probably showed Serra because she doesn’t have one and not 100% of the time walkers won’t have static abilities
And I feel Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God is a practice run on making a urza since I can see him with a static like that
And yes I can see him getting the “can be your commander” treatment” they said non standard sets can get that treatment
(Not saying he will finally get black bordered here it’s just speculation since static abilities will make it easier to more powerful abilities
I'm hoping for a Green or Red Faerie. The best would be to get one of each.
They could be like:
Forest Pixie G
Flash
Faerie Warrior
Flying
Forest Pixies Power is equal to the number of Faeries you control.
x/2
Fervid Sprite 1(U/R)R
Faerie Wizard
Flash
When Fervid Sprite enters the battlefield *you may copy target instant or socery spell with cmc less than 3 that targets you or a permanent you control.
3/1
*should definitely be a may clause
just a quick thought... any playable Faerie would be appreciated though.
If Serra the Benevolent is any indication, flying matters will be a thing in MH, and Bird tribal doesn't seem far-fetched either, so yeah, I could see Battle Screech.

The Storm Scale may not apply, but they don't want to make Modern more degenerate either, so I wouldn't expect a bunch of Delve, Dredge, and Storm shenanigans.
This will be a great place to reprint legends from pre-Modern sets like Hanna, Ship's Navigator and Captain Sisay, as well as from supplemental sets like Muzzio, Visionary Architect, Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist, and Maelstrom Wanderer. They can also print new cards for characters who never got one before, or who could really use a new one because their old card is either reserved (Orim, Ertai, Crovax, Starke, Rofellos, Karn), breaks color pie (Tahngarth), or simply isn't that good or doesn't represent the character well (Gerrard, Volrath).
Beyond that, the card selection will be a mixture of choice reprints and new cards designed to fill holes reprints can't.

Atraxa, Praetors' Voice, which I think is perfectly underpowered in every format that isn't Commander and sorely needs a reprint. Probably all of the 4 color commanders would be good plants to be honest. Some oddball stuff from Battlebond like Rushblade Commander would probably be very safe printings as well.
huh apparently this set ships in like five weeks? trying to imagine having enough money for this AND War of the Spark
casually it'd be fun to see the geothermal crevice cycle of lands reprinted plus I remember it being the basis for a weirdo balance deck, and people have been looking at restore balance again recently...

If we are to get slivers offically on a more high tier modern deck we need these (and also some needed for reprints for edh players)
If I missed any or shouldn’t be here let me know
Finally Sliver overlord for commander players would be mythic level today obviously

Storm scale doesn’t apply so the crazy mechanics can potential be in this
In before the triumphant return of Banding.

this might be something to take to factor on making speculations
There’s a double digit number of mechanics in this set

Aside from the memes and more powerful tokens, we have Vile Redeemer soo I guess it would be really ok for the Meta .
Or some who have cards but suck to get better versions
