Sure. But it influence to add that character in a standard legal set. The last core set was an exception, at least to my knowledge. I don't think that all Core Sets will play in the past. I didn't say anything about supplemental products.
That does not prevent an eventual (hopefully Bant colored) Serra Planeswalker card to show up sometime in the future with the line "can be used as your commander". It just means it is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
The issue with certain characters, specifically oldwalkers, when making cards for them, is that regardless of how they make them, one subset of players will be disappointed. For example, if they show up as a commander in a commander product, the modern and standard crowd will be sad. With Serra specifically, both the Commander and Standard crowd are sad because, a, commander players can't use her as a commander, and b, standard players can't use her in standard.
I mean she is dead. It will be really difficult to add her in a Standard Set. In addition to the fact that she will rotate out and be unavailable for the next 10? or more years.
They added all old/killed Characters as playable Commanders. Serra is the first legal (black border), old Planeswalker card without the line.
It is a little confusing to state that the set is for every magic fan but letting the extra line on her out because of aesthetics. The card would be still perfectly playable in modern without any restriction.
Now you have the same issue like with Maelstrom Angel. You have to inform your group (every group you like to play with) that you are actually playing an illegal commander. I don't know how a group will react. She can ulti the same turn she comes out (Even in White). Her ulti isn't that powerful and doesn't stack like others but it is an emblem.
I have no problem if the answer would have been 'maybe in the future.' or 'Yeah. Sure sometime, somewhere.'. The answer was the worse. Like he thinks that it is normal to play anything (without restriction) as commander because well is casual. Why has the format a banned list or rules. It is casual you can do what you want.
Current Serra will not rotate. Modern is a nonrotating format. As for oldwalkers in standard, only if they do a time travel story again. The point I was making was that no matter how they do it, they are going to disappoint a subset of players. The old adage "you can please some of the people, some of the time, but not all the people all the time" comes to mind. Yeah, sure, we as commander players got screwed this time, but last time we got a Pre-mending walker, and the time before that, we got four (Freyalise, Ob-Nixilis, Teferi, and Nahiri), one of which was a Titan. We'll get a Serra that can be used as a commander eventually, but there are several hundred named characters to chose from when bringing an old character back, so it may take a while.
Am i the only one not hoping for a WUBRG colored deck unless it really make sense?
Angels, phyrexians... why should they be 5-colored? I can see a point for superfriends, even if we already have atraxa.
Not every tribe or concept must be showed in 5-color. It worked for dragons, yeah. It didn't work for warrior. I don't see anyone playing warrior tribal najeela, the blade-blossom, only goodstuff combo machines builds.
I hope for at least 2 tricolor deck. 3, with 2 wedge and 1 shard would be better.
You know, I've always wanted to try a warrior tribal deck with Najeela...
As for tribes that make sense as a five color deck, there are a couple: Allies, Spirits, and Slivers come to mind. There are probably a couple of others. But I agree, Phyrexia and Angels aren't it. Maybe if we'd gotten a monogreen angel at some time, but no.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Is this just Maro being Maro or does this mean something?
Peppermint could mean Green, Black?
I googled 'peppermint' and the first search result was from wikipedia 'Peppermint - Angel of Vengeance'.
Maybe some off-kilter pairings, just to tick off the fanboys... like Pirate-Ninja (Dimir), Vampire-Werewolf (Rakdos), Cleric-Berserker (Boros), Demon-Angel (Orzhov), etc...

I would be right behind an Orzhov Angel+Demons deck. Possibly with the 4th sister as a commander would really fit the theme.
But we already had a Angels+Demons+Dragons in the first release of Commander Decks and that would be a direct downgrade form that deck unless it has completely different mechanics.
(U/B) is :symbu: or :symub: and the same is true for the other 9 hybrid symbols with their two colors in for the last 2 leters of the code. ((2/B) and co are :sym2b:)
Alternatively {UB} or {2B} in [mana] tags are (U/B) or (2/B) T is :symtap: and T will give T in [mana] tags
Selesnya was done 2017 with the cat tribal. It would be a little early for another Selesyna Deck.
Naya 2013 (Nature of the Beast) and Boros 2015 (Wade into battle). I don't know how popular/good the Naya one was but the boros was poorly done.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

magicmanaproducer777 asked: Can you taste another commander 2019 deck? What’s the flavor of it if yes.
Cinnamon.
I mean it could be a reference to colourless cards having brown border back in the day, that being said if it is that it likely wouldn't be artefact but maybe a purely colorless deck ?
I think Kalemne was novel for RW, as she encourages higher-cost creatures than RW decks normally run. That said, it's a real pity Iroas doesn't trigger her. Anya on the other hand was blatant winmore, and paled in comparison to the likes of Aurelia, Gisela, and even Basandra. I would have preferred an Equipment-themed legend.
RW Equipment is my favorite theme, and I would love a deck that commits wholeheartedly to that theme. Jor Kadeen and Akiri are good appetizers, but I'm looking for some legends that really hit the spot, you know? I want to see Cool Stuff like a Dragon-themed Knight who cares about Dragons, Equipment, and maybe other Knights, and a Samurai who gives Bushido X to Samurai you control, where X is the number of Equipment attached to the legend in question. And of course we gotta get a legendary RW Dwarf blacksmith who helps you draw and play Equipment.

Well, RGW Equipment isn't impossible, but how much is green going to add to an Equipment deck? I'm more interested in a focused RW Equipment deck. That said, I could see a RGW deck appearing this year. I'm expecting color combos like these:

Um, no. This is like Steven Universe fans looking for information on crystals from one of the OVER NINE THOUSAND New Age sites out there (all of which attribute different things to different rocks) for something, anything, because of a leak on (of all places) the Turner Classic Movies site. *cough*Smoky Quartz*cough* Basically, when Maro can't say something, he goes into Cloudcuckooland mode.
Also, I would've at least thought of peppermint as red and white.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Of course, it's only a matter of time before we get a WUBRG Elf legend.

I will say, one benefit of a RGW Equipment deck is that I might finally get that GW Human or Elf Knight legend with a focus on land and Equipment that I've wanted for a while now, so I can build a Zelda-themed deck with a proper Link stand-in.

Reminder dinosaurs is a 3 on the beeble scale which means they put atleast one Dino in if it fits
So if we get naya they might print quite a few dinosaurs in that deck since there are a few missing links for dinosaurs tribal
Especially since one theme possibly is a enrage focus deck (creatures that want to take damage) and there is a few stuff printed back in the day that want this

RW or GW or RGW
My money is on naya
Especial since they want to keep going with dinosaurs big time
Maybe a theme that creature focused that wants to be damaged
New and old enrage dinosaurs
I will only truly accept a dinosaur deck if it includes a reprint of Pygmy Allosaurus with new art.

Probably because of Nazahn, Revered Bladesmith and a few of the green cats

BGU
RGW

WB
GUR
BGU
RW
