MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I just double-checked to make sure and this is what I found.

805.10d As the declare blockers step begins, the defending team declares blockers. Creatures controlled by the defending players can block creatures attacking any player on the defending team or attacking a planeswalker controlled by one of those players. The defending team has one combined block, and that set of blocking creatures must be legal as a whole. See rule 509.1.

Dang I did not know this... that makes Battlebond much more interesting than I first thought.
Ooh, you know what would be amazing? If all the new legendary creatures in the set came with Partner. That would be a massive flavor win. I know that's not a reprint, but it's an existing mechanic, so, close enough.

Omg yes make partner commanders in this multiplayer set.

while i agree this would be neat, and i was looking forward to having a legendary homunculus and cyclops, the art for these characters seems to depict them together - meaning that they will possibly only get one card between them (ala pia and kiran nalaar)

As much as I love Partner and want to see it return, I don't think they'd print it on a card outside actual Commander products.
In addition to Battle cry, Surge would make a great team mechanic. Fingers crossed for both of them. I can see black getting Morbid to take advantage of their partner's creatures dying. And if Morbid's in the set, chances are good green gets it too.
That would be three mechanics focused in enemy pairs, though. I wonder if they'd stretch any of them to a third or fourth color, to give ally pairs more to do? Battle cry could work in green, and Morbid works in pretty much any color but fits red the best after black. I could see Bloodthirst working much like Morbid, in that it feels like a black take on teamwork. As a bonus, Bloodthirst is already proven in BRG. Morbid and Bloodthirst won't likely both be in the set, though, since their ideal colors overlap. Between the two, Bloodthirst works better with Battle cry since both encourage aggro, on the other hand maybe Morbid would be preferred since it encourages more attrition and thus won't be lumped with Battle cry so much.

Any thoughts?
I'm guessing lots of cards that can target a player for a benefit. Imagine Blue Sun's Zenith that you could use on either yourself or your teammate.

Edit: I would not be surprised to see stroke of genius and/or damnable pact in this set as card draw that can target an ally seems pretty nice.
Wait you can block for your teammates? Was that always a thing?
