The new Tezz showcases Etherium, a colorless artifact token named which has tap symbol , Sacrifice Etherium token: add one mana of any color into your mana pool.
How would you like to see this used throughout the set? I really like the concept and think it is quite powerful, more powerful than servos, thopters, cluestones, etc. if out early.
I would love a blue variant to inspector. U, 1/2, get an etherium.
I think this will be a blue/black theme in the set. What are your thoughts and speculation?
This is something that occurred to me.
I think it's especially likely to be at least somewhat of a theme considering both that it works well with Improvise and that MaRo said this:
We chose to make Kaladesh the invention as a means of creation and Aether Revolt invention as a means of destruction. That meant pushing off most of the sacrifice resources (especially artifacts) effects for Aether Revolt.
I wouldn't be surprised if the token appeared only on Tezzeret - since Etherium is foreign to Kaladesh and hence coult be specific to the planeswalker aspect of the card. It could go another way but then Etherium better be a real plot point (e. g. Tezzeret having agents that are provided Etherium to use as superior technology) - and the fact that filigree has been introduced as something that is independent of Etherium on Kaladesh makes me feel like there is no such twist coming for this block.
That said I wouldn't raise an eyebrow either way.
That said: Am I the only one who reads "artifact token named Etherium Cell" on that card image?

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I think the original translation did not include the 'Cell' text.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
