MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I loved the Partner mechanic, and I would like to see more of it.
But, please, please, don't break my heart again. Give me Serra. I hated Nahiri from the first because she wasn't Serra in the C14 decks. After she did that to Sorin and Innistrad, I felt vindicated.
Oh, and I would love to see the missing Legendary BW angel from Flight Moonsilver...

Yes, please.
I second the Serra request. And would want her painted by REBECCA GUAY ONLY!
If they are going to do allied colored commanders, I want them to be tribal (class or race) focused. Its actually getting to be kind of a drag that tribal focus is downplayed and doesn't show up. The last commanders from these products I can even recall that even had a modicum of actual tribal focus was Kaalia of the Vast, Ghave, Guru of Spores and Prossh, Skyraider of Kher. Two of which are from the 2011 Commander product while the third is from the 2013 product. Seriously like where is the "Legendary Creature - Squirrel" card that focuses on Squirrel Tribal? I would have thought something like that would have been the down the pipeline by now.
There is more to it than color combinations, though. Allied colors are a sure thing, but they could just go back to doing wedges and have mono-color commanders with abilities that use the other remaining colors. Some other things they could do are Gods (not necessarily Theros), Legends from magic history reimagined in new forms, like a new Volrath or Gerrard, iconic beasts and beings of myth representing each color, such as a demon, angel, dragon, hydra, and Djinn, go tribal with the commanders and make tribal commander decks, which would be very interesting seeing as how they'd have to come up with something for each color that has enough cards to fill out each deck, etc.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
3. WUBRG - tribal slivers, with a new shapeshifter tribal lord which chooses a creature type on ETB to enhance and benefit from enhancements of which has a cost of in order to make it playable in any tribal commander deck as a substitute for having a lord of that actual creature type.
5. WUBRG - WUBRG control, with lots of high end and efficient instant and sorcery cards of each color or multi-colored that are good in commander, relatively few creatures and those that do turn up tend to be hard to remove offensive ones or defensive ones that help build advantage from control strategies, and Progenitus as one of the commanders.
3. WUBRG - tribal slivers, with a new shapeshifter tribal lord which chooses a creature type on ETB to enhance and benefit from enhancements of which has a cost of in order to make it playable in any tribal commander deck as a substitute for having a lord of that actual creature type.
If you really want a good Eldrazi commander, you should ask for a WUBRG legend so you can play the various Devoid Eldrazi from BFZ block as well as the colored Drones from RotE. Otherwise you already have the Eldrazi titans, Kozilek, the Great Distortion in particular.
Why ask for a colorless artifact commander when you can play legends with color that grant you access to good support cards like the Mages, Steelshaper's Gift, Tempered Steel, etc.?

Five- and zero-color decks are the obvious holes left. It would be interesting if they took a year to develop some of the cool mechanics they've created in 5 Commander and 2 Conspiracy sets the past few years; lieutenants, planeswalker (and perhaps other non-creature?) commanders, voting cards, dethrone, monarch, and commander-matters cards (like Bastion Protector). I left partner off the list, as I imagine they would want to gauge feedback before doing more of them. The problem would be that it would be more of a greatest-hits feel than a consistent mechanical theme, so they would likely avoid it; but it would be nice to have a few more examples of the mechanics that have worked well.
I just have a hard time seeing them do 5-color decks. I simply don't see how the could make them thematically different from one another. Ally pairs I can see them doing though, plus, I would be super happy if they did a tribal theme too.
My world for a junk legendary wall!! A pillowfort-themed deck with a defender subtheme. They could fit in Doran and Assault formation, as well as that white enchantment that allows defenders to attack. Would be sweet!

Revisit an old plane or an entirely new plane told through Commander cards. As there are quite a few named characters that I would like to have as actual legendary card.
I just have a hard time seeing them do 5-color decks. I simply don't see how the could make them thematically different from one another. Ally pairs I can see them doing though, plus, I would be super happy if they did a tribal theme too.
It's simple: Each deck gets a central color with the other colors providing support. The decks each center around a tribe most commonly associated with that central color. For example, wubRg Goblins and wubrG Elves. Each tribe gets two mechanical focuses, like aggro and burn for Goblins and ramp and +1/+1 counters for Elves. To help emphasize the soft WUBRG themes, each deck's face card is a General Tazri-style legend that has a monocolor mana cost (ideally 4M, where M is the central color) and a WUBRG ability to provide five-color identity.
Furthermore, to provide solidarity in the card selection, each nonartifact, nonland card in a particular deck must be at least the primary color for that deck (every nonartifact, nonland card in the red precon must be red, every nonartifact, nonland card in the white precon must be white, and so forth), though multicolor cards are allowed and encouraged. For example, let's say the red precon has Goblins and the white precon has Soldiers; Legion Loyalist can be included in the red one, but not the white one even though he'd fit the Soldier tribal theme, while Boros Recruit can be included in either or even both. (This rule only applies to precon card selection; players are of course free to put Legion Loyalist in their Soldier deck if they so please.)
These measures would give each deck a very distinct look and feel and would stay away from just "WUBRG Goodstuff x 5".

There is no logical "next one" only random speculation. I'd like to see 5 commanders that are not part of a cycle, much like the way they do intro packs.
They could also just have another commander's arsenal or that commander's anthology that have been rumored about. Either way it's going to be hard to top the power levels some of the 4 colour ones.
Maybe the next product is Ally with one PW commander and one experience commander? (I'm omitting Partner as it's too soon for them to implement Partners again.) Though they'll still want to find a new hook to focus the marketing around.

Maro has said before that it is very likely they will do planeswalker decks again and the original ones were very popular.
I predict five 2 colored allied planeswalker decks as the face cards and five 2 colored allied legendary creature decks as alternate commanders/
That actually sounds really cool, hopefully they'd be new characters, not just different offshoots of Jace or something.
They'll be Planar Chaos alternate color versions of the Origins 5. Red Jace, Black Gideon, Blue Nissa, White Chandra, Green Liliana. Or Gruul Jace and so on.
Why ask for a colorless artifact commander when you can play legends with color that grant you access to good support cards like the Mages, Steelshaper's Gift, Tempered Steel, etc.?
This may come as a shock for you, but some of us enjoy playing certain styles of deck for the challenge or for fun. A non-artifact commander kinda defeats the purpose of an all artifact deck, no? Besides, everyone knows that the one true artifact creature commander is Karn, Silver Golem.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
I would be on board with a wider variety of commanders. Sort of like what happened with the Partners, except without a weird cop-out mechanic that serves as an excuse. "Look guys, we did it! Four-color commanders!" and then make only four actual four-color commander ones...That was really lame.
If it were up to me, I'd make smaller commander-specific boosters. A few decent cards for any deck, and a second rare with a commander guaranteed. Perhaps at the cost of a few commons, making the booster contain 12 cards. 7 commons, 3 uncommons, 2 rares, one of which a guaranteed legendary creature.
The one thing that was decent about the Partner commanders was that we got cards of people we'd -sort of- seen before, like Sidar Kondo and Silas Renn. I really liked that. But, again, sadly they had Partner.
I honestly thing a once in a while Commander Booster Auxiliary Product would be a good idea. But I think it is unlikely to happen. Fortunately, we get a heck of a lot of stuff in the other auxiliary booster products (conspiracy, masters).
