I loved it. And people, SINCERELY not wanting to sound like an ass or anything, but if you think the card is bad, you need to think again, seriously. Its body is huge and with first strike...you're not beating it in combat anytime soon. People tend to automatically dismiss cards that lets your opponent choose, but they are not considering something important. With a card like Vexing Devil, you know exactly what you're choosing. With this, you don't actually know. Do I make him draw 3? What could he draw? Do I mill him? (oops, look, it's Emry, how cute ^^) See? The card is awesome, it will 100% see play in constructed. I actually think it's more impactful than any other titan except maybe for blue, which depending on what you'll be able to cast for free can be devastating. But all in all, busted card (mark my words if you don't see it now), great design, interesting...anyway. Love it.

Couldn't agree more. The punisher "ability" is typically bad because of the reason you state. This will go in a big red deck and so it will be a real threat to your opponent. A 6 costing 6/6 first strike creature that draws 3 is good, and so is a 6 cost 6/6 first strike creature that burns your opponent for the total casting cost of the top 3 cards of your deck. Either mode, you are likely quite happy. Even if you flip over 3 lands into the yard, it isn't so bad because otherwise you would have been drawing 3 lands over the next few turns when you already produce enough mana to pay for a 6 drop. So even when you whiff it is still not that bad.

RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
Yeah, arguments can be made about how good each one is. Let me put this in other way then. I think the other ones require less working around, and therefore are on average better than the red, I guess you could say that indeed, but I think if you can build in a way that the red one consistently does what he can do AT HIS BEST, then I think the red one trumps some of the others at least. Don't get me wrong though, I love the whole cycle, really, wizards did a great job with it. It feels mythic, it feels epic, feels impactful, they have flavor, the artworks are awesome (as for everything in Kaladesh), I just loved them all so much
people will always knock cards that don't give full control to the caster of the card, and will say pretty much anything to justify their claim. but this card is very easy to evaluate compared to the others. compare what it does to a full board, and what it does to an empty board. The black and white ones are great on a full board and impact it right away, on an empty board they do nothing but be a creature. the green one is amazing on a full board because it can make the whole team bigger or some of them or make himself big, but on an empty board is vulnerable and big. the blue one is completely dependent on you already having an instant worth casting in your graveyard to use its second effect, but the flash is good on full board or empty board. now comes the red one. on a full board it wins every fight and either likely deals damage or refills your hand. on an empty board it will win nearly every future fight and either likely deals damage or refills your hand.
the truth is, the red one is the MOST consistent of the bunch, as it always gives you value whenever cast, whereas all of the others are too conditional to always be good. This red gearhulk in other words will ALWAYS be the best creature to top deck after you have 6 mana, no matter what the situation is in the game. Punisher ability or not doesn't matter, as both options will always benefit you (you are never going to mill three lands unless you play too many in the deck). I'm not sure why their is so much more love for the others, as they are good, but this card is truly great
