That would be pretty cool, though I have a hard time seeing them do a singular flip card. It would either have to be a theme of the set or some other way to represent it. Elspeth as a God of Theros would be something I'd like though.
I'd also settle for just two Planeswalker cards. One with her possibly as a Returned, the other post apotheosis. Could be color changing involved too, very different themes. We did get double Sarkhan after all.
She can't be a planeswalker as a returned, as the returned are undead, and the undead can't have a spark. And before you say, but Sorin... Let me just point out that Innistradi vampires are not undead.

I imagine that they could probably find a way to do it, though I imagine it wouldn't be a strict Returned then. But I doubt they will.
I also know that Innistrad vampires aren't undead. Theros has odd rules when it comes to life and death too though, so I could see some sort of loophole forming.

The only possibility for her returning as a planeswalker is if Erebos allows her to leave the Therosian underworld, if she does it on her own, she will be a returned, and thus undead.

And the issue with being an undead is that they don't have a soul, which is where the spark is held (or at least I would imagine that's where it is given that a soul is needed to have a spark).

Actually, no one knows where the spark is. Karn has a spark, even though he is a mechanical being, and then by definition lacks a soul. But then again, artificial creatures can't usually have a spark either, so there is that.

For this hypothetical sixth walker, what about that art that was leaked, showing Ajani with the Gatewatch? If he's mono-W or WG, then he'd fit the color balance.

Ajani will likely be GW as that was what he was last we saw him, however there is still a possibility that he will be tricolor, in which case he will most likely be Naya (RGW).

Karn can't have a spark naturally, but was gifted one, which is one such work around. And I guess that does rule out needing a soul to hold one, but it doesn't rule out that your soul being where a spark is naturally resting. Very consistently I see Maro say things like "angels/other mana manifestations can't make a spark because they don't have a soul" and "if you're undead you can't make one because you lost it", really only leaving Phyrexians as the oddball, though I guess you might lose your soul when compleated. Either way it isn't just "undead = lost spark, it's undead = lost soul = lost spark, which is an important distinction to me.

Pretty sure at one point someone from Wizards said that Ajani is Selesnya now, so monoWhite is unlikely. And if he is Selesnya naturally the only tricolor he could possibly be is Naya. Bant would be really odd, especially given we just had Tamiyo, and Abzan seems straight out unless he's drastically changed since we last saw him. But in all likelihood he's probably just Selesnya.

No, it's more along the lines of Artificial creatures can't have sparks. Undead are, in a way, artificial since they are reanimated corpses, constructs are built, and (most) demons, devils, elementals, angels, and the like are artificial in the sense that they are created from mana itself. Remember, MaRo is not involved in story, and hasn't been since the early weatherlight saga.

I was questioning why you would add likely, because that seems rather odd. If he's two color he will be Selesnya, if he's three he will be Naya. Likely just seems like hedging a bet that doesn't need to be made.
And while Maro may not be involved with the story it's something that I still see on the storyline board as well. So either something has gotten spread that is wrong or, more broadly, the soul is an important aspect of a spark. I mean, you can word it as artificially created creatures don't have a soul, and thus don't generate a spark, but that's not really any different.

I use likely because we can't be 100% sure.
For the second part, I believe it is because someone once equated artificial = no soul, therefore soul = spark. But there has been no official word on it other than artificial beings can't have a spark as far as I am aware.

It is more likely that Tezzeret will be UB since Dovin Baan was revealed as a WU Plainswalker. The question is, will Tezzeret be a control type Plainswalker? Will he have some abilities from his last Plainswalker? After seeing the Enchantment card Metallurgic Summonings that he appears on, I am guessing that one of his ability will be copying a target artifact or creature. There is also a good chance that he will also have a search ability or a draw ability. As for his ultimate I am not sure what will it be.
Copying has already been taken by Saheeli. That said, we will find ourselves with two artifact-focused planeswalkers in one block. Given that Tezzeret is evidently scoping the Inventors' Fair for ideas to acquire, I'm guessing his next card is going to have a stealing ability on it. One of his signature abilities is turning artifacts into 5/5 creatures, so he might retain that effect.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

I would love to see him retain his ability to make artifacts a 5/5 creature since that was a very effective ability. It was something that made the U/B Tezzeret control deck very aggressive by utilizing that ability. As for a steal ability there is already a card that has a steal ability which is Confiscation Coup. I would doubt magic the gathering will make a second card with the same ability.

That would mean Baral is not mythic, as Insidious will and Dhund Operative flavor texts suggest him to be UB. Possible, though I expect him to 1)be printed, 2) be of mythic rarity.
I also do not think you print a story card with that flavor text in white and a non White Tezzeret later on...
Putting important story characters at Rare instead of Mythic is fine, generally the weight there is about effect power not character importance. Rashmi isn't that major a player thus far, but is a higher rarity than Oviya (who has a lot more time in story).
...I wonder if we'll get to see a reprint of Ensoul Artifact with Tezzy on it.

They might combine it with his original -X, or even search each player's deck for an artifact and put it onto the battlefield a la Jace, Architect of Thought.

If Tezzeret got any white abilities, they would most likely be oppressive control effects of some kind, like tapdown or even an emblem with the Ethersworn Canonist effect.
The idea of Tezz being able to create X/X Construct tokens is an interesting one, but I would think they'd make it an emblem instead of a simple -X.
Another effect they might consider is Go for the Throat, which is a straightforward enough form of self-protection.
For basic utility, they could use Thirst for Knowledge, which has the added benefit of supporting Madness and Delirium. A UB Tezzeret with Thirst combined with Cathartic Reunion could make for a pretty strong Standard Grixis Madness deck.
