Tezzeret is one of the judges according to the newly revealed green card Larger Than Life.
Soooo... Nicol Bolas is using Tezzeret still. The question is whether Tezzeret still has links to the Pyrexians or if he left phyrexia once Karn was disrupted from becoming the leader of New Phyrexia. That's two possibilities here. Tezzeret is a just a bolas agent again, or he's gained ties to the phyrexians.
Such a colorful and interesting looking plane, I hope it doesn't become a phyrexian invasion point, but gut says.. Tezzeret still has ties to phyrexia, and Bolas is going to use Tezzeret and his phyrexians to turn an invention fair into an incursion point. We could see the return of Germs (like Batterskull) that can become permanent pilots of these new vehicle artifact types. The phyrexians then ride the stolen artifacts to try to take the plane and its power for Bolas.
Although Tezzeret has ties to both Phyrexia and Nicol Bolas, I don't quite think he's doing something for them. If so, I would say Nicol Bolas over Phyrexia. When Tez was on Mirrodin during the war, he was only allied with Phyrexia to better himself. He actually turned some of the Phyrexian leaders against one another just to better his own machinations.
In the end I feel like he has his own schemes not directly related to Bolas, or at least directly related to it.
I feel like since the next block deals with bolas, Tezzeret is working for or at least allied with bolas. Maybe since magic origins was going to be a set about the bad planeswalker that wizards is using some of that original designs to create a legion of doom to the gatewatch super friends.

So maybe they were hinting about Tezzeret about spoiling the next block?
I'm sure he will be in this block but he also ties into the next block. Since wizards wants to start doing multi block story Arcs. Like eldrizi spilling over into innistrad.
Yeah, Jaysands. That's what I was thinking. Whatever happens on Kaladesh is likely Bolas related, and it leads the gatewatch to the next block, which is ruled by Bolas. It's a spillover like before.
With the addition of tezzeret, and his last known story arc being phyrexians, an artificial race, I think it's now highly likely that the artifact fair is going to be the facade for a phyrexian invasion. The judge(s) will plant germs into artifacts and vehicles to take them over. Some artifacts will be phyrexian sleepers (I'm looking at you Gearhulks. Last colored artifacts were Phyrexian, too). I suspect the play will be for Bolas to take a mana rich plane using Tezzeret's ties to the phyrexians, but the oathwatch will thwart it. I had hoped they wouldn't wreck such a pretty plane, but it's looking like phyrexians are a definite possibility.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Tezzert isn't controlled by the Phyrexians, Bolas just needed him to keep an eye on what they where doing. Tezz doesn't even like being ordered around by Bolas, he sure as hell isn't going to be doing Phyrexia's work. In fact Tezz would be more than happy to send the Gatewatch to Amonkhet just to annoy Bolas. He may even give them a nudge about going to New Phyrexia to help the refuges there.

Why bolas would send tezzeret to mirrodin (a heavy artifact plane) and then to Kaladesh (a heavy artifact plane)? Maybe Bolas needs some kind artifacts as part of his plans, and tezzeret is scouting those planes for means to acheive this goal, all while Tezzeret has his own agendas.

Or maybe Tezzeret went there on his own after finding it early in his planeswalking career. One doesn't get to be Head Judge unless one has history on the plane. And since Tezzeret is an artificer, it would make sense for him to have a home away from home on a plane dedicated to artifice such as Kaladesh. Particularly since the plane is all about inventing stuff or improving on others inventions. Tezzeret has likely visited Kaladesh a lot over the years since he sparked, and has built up a life for himself there as an eccentric and reclusive inventor (using "inventions" he "found" on other planes) to account for his many absences, while gaining favor and building a power base for himself. It is quite likely, given Tezzeret's personality, that he is using the inventors fair to try and find weapons he can use against Bolas. Tezzeret chafes under authority and only obeys the elder dragon because he know what Bolas would do to him if he didn't (it rhymes with "find grape"). Tezzeret looks out for Tezzeret, everything else is secondary at best.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
I can't say with any certainty there will be phyrexians. This is definitely speculation. But his presence opens unfortunate possibilities about the direction of the set. This is another one of those evidence things, like edritch moon.
We can say the following things are truths:
Tezzeret is a known agent of Bolas due to his personality being completely rewritten by bolas.
Tezzeret was last seen worming his way into the phyrexian power structure for bolas.
Tezzeret is now present at Kaladesh with no intervening story to distance these relations.
Kaladesh is a plane of wondrous artifacts.
Phyrexians are also artifacts.
Mitigating circumstances:
Tezzeret didn't like working for bolas.
While there are certainly lots of ways this can go, none of these points are false, and they create a likely connection. Tezzeret is an agent of bolas with known ties to an artifact race that could be slipped into the fair. His dislike of bolas might be how the oathwatch find out where bolas is after this block, but it doesn't mean he's not still a puppet of the lord of mind control.
All very circumstantial still, but none the less compelling.
Why in Hades would Tezzeret join the Gatewatch? Both Lily and Jace hate him.
Hence the smiley. What a silly thought!
I actually would be surprised to see Tezzeret join the Gatewatch.
Instead am refering to the fact that the art attached to the quoted post has some resemblance to the art used on Oath cards - each of the two pieces show a planeswalker not yet a member having a floating object representative of themself over their hand. Them not looking at the viewer is different though.
If I had to make up a reason though - temporary membership to get out from under Bolas's heel?

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Possible, but highly unlikely due to his personal history with both Jace and Lily, I think Saheeli is a much more likely candidate as the story with her and Rashmi showed that she is thinking of the dangers Rashmi's invention might pose to Kaladesh.

I did read the latest story. That doesn't really make Phyrexian's any more likely.
Saheeli's art compared to his own; maybe they are both judges?
