Not sure if this should go here or more in Baseless Spec, but I just finished reading the latest Magic Story - A Time for Innovation, which focuses on Rashmi, a local inventor on Kaladesh. And it got me wondering, could Wizards finally be giving people the UR Artifact themed legendary creature I have heard people requesting for ages.
From her art and the story, she seems definately focused, making her blue. The mana/aether she is tapping into is clearly a mix of blue and red.
Based on the story, I was thinking maybe she has the ability to blink artifacts.
Maybe something like this:
Rashmi, Inspired Artificer (3UR)
Elf Artificer - 1/4 2,tap: Exile target artifact you control, then return it to the battlefield under it's owner's control.
What do you think, is she going to be important and get a card? Or is she just a plot piece to set things up in the story of Kaladesh?

Well, if so, I really want her to be perhaps a new version of Pia and Kiran Nalaar? Something like that... I really only want this U/R Thopter standard deck... will be amazing...
Just a reminder, this is not the forum for Custom Card Creation.
Rashmi does not seem particularly UR to me. Between being an elf and the whole "I've been guided to my destiny by a higher power" business, I'd place her definitely in the Green slice of the pie. Blue is a likely second color.
Remember, in much the same way that Innistrad feels like everything should be black and Zendikar feels like everything should be green, Kaladesh, the plane basically defined by "invention" is going to feel like everything should be U/R, because those are the colors of "invention".

Well I suppose she could be GU, but I didn't really get a green feel from her in her debut story, unless there are some green elements I missed.
Of course her being an Elf does lead to her more than likely being green I guess. As the only non-green elves in MtG history have been either White or Black, at least according to a quick Gatherer search. But there is still a first for everything, in fact her being the first (non-shapeshifter) non-green elf in red/blue would be interesting.
Ah but who knows what Wizards will do with her, if she even gets a card.

She's also religious, with a belief in a higher power that guides everything, and puts everything into its proper place. Which is super green.
She's an elf, green's characteristic race, with natural order philosophy. I would be quite surprise if she's not green. I would also be surprised if she doesn't get a card given how much focus on her this early on.

Well, there is art of her in the story, so I would think that a card is fairly likely at this point. Also her invention seems to be quite important to the overall story.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).

She leans heavy green. Maybe UG, maybe a variation on RG.
