So it's to no one's surprise there will be cycles of cards in EMN, and likely even a few cards that complete cycles from SOI. I wanted to bring up a conversation about some of these cycles that may potentially come in EMN. Below are some of the cycles I think we will see:
- Galvanic Bombardment & Take Inventory are seemingly asking for a common cycle to appear.
- Blessed Alliance & Borrowed Malevolence seem as if they could be part of a common and uncommon cycle; and who knows, there might be a rare cycle in there are well.
- Spectral Shepherd & Friends from SOI seem interesting; I wonder if we will see an inverse cycle to help solidify the Innistrad tribes.
- Geralf's Masterpiece, Stitchwing Skaab & Ghoulsteed all share a similar ability; yet there is no rare or common cards for the odd vertical cycle. I wonder if we will get them in EMN?
- Both the Woodland Stream uncommon cycle and the Port Town rare cycle are missing opposite color pairings. Will they be in EMN?
Are there any cycles that I missed? Which of the cycles I proposed do you think we will see? Discuss!
As for the rare lands, with the lack of the enemy pair rare lands in BFZ (to mirror Sunken Hollow and company) I would not be surprised if we did not get the full cycle in this set, though I would love to be proved wrong.
From the number crunch I am pretty sure that we will see at max one rare cycle of utility lands, since we only have 5 land cards in the set. Hanweir Battlements would be the red card of that cycle.
I would expect one Eldrazi flip cycle... at either rare or uncommon, where you need 3 or more of something to flip the thing

The main reason we don't see an enemy Port Town cycle in this set, other than testing the template first, is because that would have buffed wedge decks up with the Battlelands. Maybe not to the same extent as the Shock and Check manabase of INN-RTR, but they definitely wanted to de-emphasize Wedges following KTK's rotation.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
We will not see a full cycle of lands in EMN. The numbering doesn't work. There are only 3 possible cards that can be lands (201, 202 and 205) and 201 may well be an artifact. (The last current artifact starts with an 'S' and the first known land starts with a 'G')
