What cards do you personally want to see in Eldritch Moon? Your choices don't have to be standard oriented. You can think of existing deck types for either standard or, any other format, and figure out what holes the decks have and what cards need to fill them. You can want cards simply for flavor, or because you need them for a deck your building. Below is my list of cards I would like to see. Feel free to talk about the cards you would like to see!
- A Black Wrath. Even though we have Languish, I would like to see a black card that destroys all creatures, something along the lines of a End Hostilities. This would help round out black.
- A Blue Mass Draw Spell. We haven't had anything super great since Dig through Time, and even then that card isn't considered a massive draw spell.
- A Black "Zombie Horde" creature that makes tons of Zombie tokens. I want something scary, like a late game bomb that can make tons of zombie tokens, maybe based on the number of creatures in each graveyard?
- A Legendary Werewolf. Tovolar. Look him up.
- White could get some more good humans that work well with equipment, or just good humans in general.
- Good equipment. We need a sweet slayer's sword! Give us something to make human equipment decks a thing.
- I'd like to see more Spirits that were tempo-based or hard to kill. I think a really cool spirit that was like AEtherling would be great for Spirits and also just a good tool for a control finisher.
- A Black "Zombie Horde" creature that makes tons of Zombie tokens. I want something scary, like a late game bomb that can make tons of zombie tokens, maybe based on the number of creatures in each graveyard?
I'd like to see more DFC's that change colors drastically when they flip. Additionally, some that shift thematically from dark to light. Such as a cursed monster becoming a prince, or a red, mad angel returning to normal.
Well... The name of the set implies Werewolves (to me at least). Thinking there may be multiple Legendary werewolves coming our way. Yes, I also think that werewolves will also become a top tier standard deck, likely green/red to facilitate Arlinn Kord. Moonlight Hunt is just too good for them not to support a full on deck. If this is the case, I fully expect to see at least one or two lands that deal with DFC's (just like the Eldrazi have all those support lands in BFZ block).
So far as the rest of the set, I think we will see Liliana return either as a reprint of LotV (unlikely as this doesn't lend itself to the ever-progressing storyline) or a new Liliana (very likely). There should be some form of a wrath effect, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if it were multicolored (think Supreme Verdict or Merciless Eviction). SIDENOTE: I don't think we will be seeing a straight black wrath anytime in the near future. That would make the MTG community way too content.
Not sure if they will be taking the Investigate mechanic past SOI, but I hope they do.
Also, Also.... All signs (and cryptoliths) are pointing to "you know who" returning... Wonder if they'll do something fun with him/her/it like making it a Planeswalker.
If it turns out I am completely correct on all accounts and you happen to be reading this Maro, I am available for consultation on future sets as well
Oh yeah... Expect to see more Gryffs as well (Innistrad's variety of Griffon)...
I wanna see dark elves (like the ones from Lorwyn), because the word "eldtritch" comes from late middle English (actually Scots) and is perhaps related to elves (as reported by Google).
I would like to see Moon themed effects like Pale moon and Blood moon- stuff that mucks around with mana.
I would like to see cards that work with fevered visions in a Modern setting.

People with belligerent signatures are trying to compensate for something....
Circular Logic, Innocent Blood, Oubliette, a Vampire Lord that actually cares about vampires and isn't just weenie support like Drana or midrange goodstuff like Olivia.
I'd like to see a land card printed that depicts Innistrad's moon. Maybe make it double sided, one side is the new moon and it flips to show the full moon.
A black spell that reads only "Destroy two target creatures".
A mono green Grisly Salvage/creature Mulch/smaller Scout the Borders. Basically 1G to dig four cards for a creature or land and dump the rest in the graveyard.
"Advanced" madness cards. Cards with off-colour madness costs, cards with no mana cost that can only be played for their madness cost, cards with madness costs that do not involve mana (Madness: pay 2 life, Madness: Sacrifice a creature, etc.)
I want to see more playable in modern werewolves especially around 2 CMC and 1 CMC. A werewolf dork that is playable. A legendary werewolf. a Werewolf Land like Sliver Hive/Ally Encampment that spend some mana and transform target or all werewolves on the field.
How about a new DFC Liliana that ties into Origins? It would be Liliana, Defiant Necromancer on the day side and would transform into Liliana of the Veil.
I am mostly just excited for a block that centers around Liliana, which means we're likely to get a new Liliana card and a lot of cards that depict/quote her. More cards for my Lili collection!
I don't really have any specific things I'm looking for as of right now, other than maybe Innocent Blood (depicting Liliana, perhaps). Innistrad seems to be WOTC's wheelhouse and imo SOI was an absolute homerun in many ways, so I'm excited to see what they have in store for us.
More generally:
The return of the long-forgotten B/W Angel as a force of balance.
New Tamiyo, showing the power of a Blue mage who actually studies instead of always just having the right answer.

Cards are game pieces, and should be treated as such, easily replaceable.
Cards are not money, investments, or a retirement fund, and should never have been treated as such.
Wizards made a mistake caving to speculators once, and we still pay for that mistake 2 decades later.
"Entitled:" the entire ad hominem fallacy condensed into a single word. It doesn't strengthen your argument to attack motivations, it just makes you look like you don't understand the argument.
I would love to see Sorceries with the sub-type Story. Then the new Tamiyo could fetch a story from your deck as one of her abilities and perhaps cast them for free as a second ability. That would be super sweet and favourable.
Come on, no shock, no lightning strike, all we have is fiery temper (conditionally good, but generally it's very weak) and exquisite firecraft. Standard needs those.
No good mono-red means meta is really slow and let's black-centered decks get away with pain spells. Human decks are the best aggro while still no direct damage just means it's not gonna keep meta in check.
It's also annoying how white doesn't get oblivion ring type of card at 3 cmc - we either have creature only or 4cmc. It just forces Control to be black, because otherwise planeswalker resolving is just game over most of the times.
Even spell like fated retribution would be enough.
Also madness cards are lacking something. I tried everything to make them work, but deck is just hard to get going properly, and most of the times we end up with 3cmc bolt, 2 mana sorcery worse anticipate and 2 mana forked bolt
Ultimately, some of the cards that many people have said they really wanted reprinted were ones that would likely have made Standard less fun, or at the very least less balanced. Looking back at the past few years of Standard, there were a ton of cards we would've made slightly weaker or stronger today if we had known exactly how they would play out. We're just going to be wrong on a lot of cards.
We try to aim cards for a certain power-level band, and some go above and some below. Note that I say aim—we clearly make cards strong enough for Modern, but they are usually the cards that end up stronger than we expected. Snapcaster Mage, Liliana of the Veil, Huntmaster of the Fells, and Gavony Township are also all cards that were stronger than expected—even if we did expect them to be very strong. Collected Company has probably improved Modern, but is stronger than we'd want for Standard if we were to go back and reprint it in a new set.
Some cards, including Liliana and Snapcster that are mentioned here, doesn't looks likely.
Me? I'm not hard to please. Give me 2 power 1 drop and some other cube staples and I'll be happy.
