Land does nothjng without cheap creatures to abusem
Yall should also git gud and play more removal.
I rarely play modern but I'm pretty sure that there's not enough good land removal for the format. Either way, I'm curious how many cards will get affected this time.
I'm going to keep trying to convince people of this, even though it has no effect (obviously) on what happens...
Temple needs the ban, not the Eye.
Eye enables silliness with Mimic, sure, but I still strongly think Temple is the problem for many reasons (better in multiples, non-legendary, can be copied, works on activated abilities, can still tap for 1).
Also, I don't see too many people clamoring for Tron's demise, and Eye would be a big setback. Stirrings would all but kill the deck outright.
Eye - Free mana, it is, is broken and has no place in Modern.
Temple - Stacked mana, but at least you have to tap to use it! Has no built in Tutor like Eye. Should also go, but is less broken, or I should say is broken differently, than Eye.
Unban.
AV and BBE. I just want BBE even though I dont play Jund.
EDIT: And plenty of people hate Tron, especially by how little proportionally its played.
I would like to see something like:
Banned: No changes.
Unbanned: Stoneforge Mystic, Bloodbraid Elf, Ancestral Vision.
Let us play the eldrazi's game.
Another thing I wouldn't mind-
Banned: Eye of Ugin
Unbanned: Stoneforge Mystic/Jace, the Wallet Sculptor/Dig Through Time/Ancestral Vision/Bloodbraid Elf/Deathrite Shaman.
One of those things. Not all.

Playing the Eldrazi's game is the definition of format warping. Lets slow them down and let the other decks try and do their own thing, rather than stop a monster deck
Why do people say this? Deathrite Shaman is one of, if not the most warping cards printed in the last five years and far FAR too powerful for Modern. DRS was the chief cause of Jund being almost as warping as Eldrazi before it got the axe.
If you ban the lands I see no reason to ban mimic as well. without the cost reduction its just another fair creature in a deck that won't exist without lands to support it.
I would love to see stoneforge unbanned and batterskull banned in its place.
Forsythe is on record saying he wants some version of Eldrazi to be playable in Modern. Banning all three of the enabler cards leaves you with a deck that would be too slow in Pauper.
And they aren't going to unban 3 cards in Jund colors all at once.
You can tell who's a Tron player when they want Temple and Mimic but not Eye banned.
Eye is a slam-dunk ban. Yeah there's collateral damage with Tron losing it but ultimately I see that being a good thing for the format because Tron needs to lose leverage in the late game for more decks to become viable.
I *hope* they ban all the turn 1 fast mana.
One of the eldrazi lands, SSG, and Mox Opal. Seriously T1 fast mana is broken in a format without force or daze.
But I don't think they will do that, so Modern will still suck unless you like playing ravager or goblin guide or pump spells. Or spending $2K to play Jund I guess.
I can only hope for unbans, but I think they absolutely will not do that at the same time they try to stop Eldrazi winter. Most of the unban talk is just wishful thinking from players who would like to play with those cards. Just think about it, if they unban something now, everyone who now has to stop playing Eldrazi will rush to break what the unban. They want to stabalize, not create a whole nother unstable environment.

I couldn't really care less about what Forsythe said. All of us couldn't. If it's between having no Eldrazi deck and having a degenerate Eldrazi deck, I think we can all agree we want no Eldrazi deck at all. I've seen what happened after Arcbound Ravager, Skullclamp, Disciple of the Vault and Cranial Plating got printed. They started banning some, but not all of these cards and their delayed action caused more and more people to leave this game. I was there when dozens of people I knew left Magic and when thousands more I didn't know did so too. They banned s few cards but artifact lands were still a problem. The only permanent and surefire way to kill off a broken, format-bending deck is to ban its core. Ban the core and the rest might as well not be there.
I'm not losing any more friends to idiotic, broken decks. Modern attendance is down 20-30% in my area, across all three main stores. One particular store lost over half of its regular Modern players.
Oh boo hoo. Modern is a non-rotating format, broken stuff sometimes happens unless you want to be playing a format where the only way to win is swinging with derpy ground creatures for 20 points over 12 turns. Eldrazi deserves to be a competitive deck, there's no reason to nuke it out of existence just because some people are wimps.
If it's between having no Eldrazi deck and having a degenerate Eldrazi deck, I think we can all agree we want no Eldrazi deck at all.
But that's not the choice. The dominance of Modern Eldrazi hinges entirely on Temple, Eye, and Mimic, and would be massively weakened by the loss of any one of them. On the other hand in Ravager Affinity every card was a combo with every other card.
Eldrazi can still play a mean mid-range game even if eye gets banned. The kind of deck that I'd imagine wizards wants dead is eldrazi aggro since that is the version that basically storm rushed the PTQs and still plagues modern to this day. Banning either eye or temple would make those aggro decks far less consistent.

Reanimate sucks cause it needs cards like Entomb to work.
Ancient Stirrings getting banned would be the end of Tron; I don't think they're going for that.
What I want: Eldrazi Temple, Eldrazi Mimic banned
What'll probably happen: Eye of Eldrazi banned

https://twitch.tv/SwiftorCasino (yes, my team and I run live dealer games for the baldman using his channel points as chips)

Yeah, I'm in for this. I want both lands banned, and Stirrings is far too good in a format that's not allowed to have Preordain.
Fast mana is what has historically been broken.
