Excuse my ignorance if this has already been discussed, but do we know who/what the woman's face is on the main SOI page? She's obscured behind the "Unravel the Madness" text, but you can see the same picture on the RPTQ mat (attached for reference). Any chance this face represents the sea god and is potentially responsible for all that bad happenings on Innistrad??? Please don't derail with Emrakul or otherwise discussions, just want to know what is known (if anything) about the face.

Me neither especially because the woman is surrounded my birds and it seems more like a blue creature with the color theme in the picture
I think it's supposed to just be Avacyn's face superimposed on the moon of Innistrad. There's always been a hint that the moon heavily factors in as to why Innistrad is not the place you go for a vakay, and now there's a possibility that Nahiri has tapped into this via her cryptoliths.
So the prevalent thought is that it is Avacyn, which is believable since she is a central character in this block. For kicks and giggles, I used my super awesome face comparison software (*coughMSPaintcough*) so we can all see how the new deadly Avacyn compares to sucking-in-all-the-angels Avacyn (attached). I could buy that it is Avacyn, as the facial lines are similar.

Aren't those Angels?
I think they are too small to be birds tbh at least the most top one to the right looks like some kind of swarn.
I agree tho that the creature just below the female face, looks like an angle
It might all be a matter of discrepancy between the different artists' styles for each piece, but I personally don't see too great a resemblance.
Avacyn's face is much rounder, with softer features.
Then there is what appears to be the collar around the neck of the head in the poster. The collar details are more flared than Avacyn's.
Maybe the face in the poster belongs to a new villain altogether, much the way Xenagos's face showed up in the Theros trailer.
It's entirely possible there is some foreshadowing going on here staring us right in the face.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

That's not a collar, that's an angel holding a spear of some sort.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Probably Avacyn.
If not, maybe intentionally a figure that could be interpreted as either Avacyn or Nahiri (though it looks more like the mad angel..) without any confirmations.
Last, it is possible that this is the geist of the remaining WB angel sister, leader of the flight moonsilver.
While I know that there was a WB angel sister, I seem to recall she was not the leader of flight moonsilver. IIRC, Avacyn is the leader of flight moonsilver.

Yeah they're either angels (almost positive that they are) or herons, which are associated with Avacyn.
