Except that Theros was objectively crap, whereas both Ravnica blocks, Khans block and Alara block (and Lorwyn if you count that as multicoloured) are amongst the most powerful Modern design blocks, thus your witty response is wrong and can't be applied to it.
Lorwyn was basically single coloured (there are very few multi coloured cards even though the tribes spanned multiple colours). Shadowmoor, OTOH, was insnely multi coloured. Even using only one colour of mana you'll have multiple colours (like my Oversoul/Wilt Leaf Liege deck that only used plains)
In my opinion if kaladesh is the next block it is way too soon to see C again, not to mention that the flavor twist to have this mana outside of "eldrazi mana" zone is a stretch. The mechanics sould return either with the eldrazis (but that mean that Emrakul would not be dealt with in Innistrad, which is against the trending expectations) either with some plane or somebody that can link the use of this mana to the eldrazis (Bolas comes to mind, as this magic/mana might be part of the reasons he wanted to free the eldrazis...).
There is always the possibility they make a new plane with logical use of C-mana inherently but that would not be Kaladesh: 1)there should have been C-mana in origins if so. 2) it should be consistent with the eldrazis using it so an alien flavor or drain-mana flavor. None of these seem Kaladeshian.
While I agree that the next set is too soon to make use of that mechanic (unless it becomes evergreen - which I hope), I disagree it has to be eldrazi specific. It's too useful a mechanic to limit it that much - as it can be used to create many artifacts without making them overpowered (imagine Jitte requiring it)
Reading up on the lore of Kaladesh it would make sense in the concept of etherium powered machines. Since magic users are rare, most of the cards will be colourless and etherium-based. C is pretty much the only way a set based on Kaladesk could work given that there are no natural mages there.
Along the same lines - I'd like to see it used if we ever return to Esper.
I want to check back in on the Phyrexians, but I do not want to see them dispatched by Jace and Friends.
At this point I'm not sure how they would go about doing that without some ability to send an entire plane of soldiers to go against them, that or the Gatewatch would need to be comprised of 20+ members. The Mirrans are what(?) 10% of their original uncorrupted population? Going to need more than them to do that stuff, unless Karn does some extreme plot devicing.

C is not a wide mechanic. It is undefined, and currently focuses on the Eldrazi's weirdness. It does no fit for fueling artifacts. Why is etherium based on C? In previous appearence, it works fine with coloured mana. There is also the problem of it requiring colourless mana fixing. As for artifacts, they can just used coloured mana.
It doesn't make sense in the slightest for Esper. It is like saying Jund is awesome, we should add whit to it. C has nothing to do with artifacts.
Ive actually heard from some friends and read on reddit that the rumor is Vryn.
Which honestly either Vryn or Kaladesh would be cool, i much more enjoy artifact based decks so Kaladesh would be sweet.
Very would be interesting, i haven't read up to much on the lore so if anyone has some insight as to what a set like that would be like id be all ears to it.
I started playing in Kamigawa so i wouldn't mind a return there, i like the style and theme a lot.
But i definitely would be more interested in a new plane rather than more return sets.

Actually, anything that brings back Bolas!
I could easily stay in Ravnica every set though, haha.
