I'm actually suspecting that we're going to return to Shadowmoor / Lorwyn within a year. SOI features scarecrows, a thing I don't believe has been done outside of Shadowmoor block.
I also agree that the block immediately following SOI should be set on a new plane.

This is the same illogical train of thought as the one with next block being Kamigawa because there's a fox in SoI. Scarecrows fit the theme well, so they got used. There's nothing more to it. And there's also been a scarecrow in the original Innistrad: One-Eyed Scarecrow. Also, the first ever scarecrow was, technically, Scarecrow.
Really, that's like saying that there's a nightmare in the block, therefore, Chainer is returning as a planeswalker.
Don't take me wrong, I'd love to see Lorwyn again, but it would need to be a tribal block and I'm damn certain that Wizards are considering Innistrad to be tribal too, just so they don't have to do anything similar for next 5 years. I mean, Maro stated somewhere that tribal was a theme in original Innistrad, so it obviously doesn't matter that the presence of tribal elements wasn't even close to Onslaught or Lorwyn.

I would love to see Kamigawa again, however I hope that wherever we go it has some support for the tribes of Innistrad. Spirits and Humans abounded last trip but wolves, zombies and vampires not so much.

A quick search for "scarecrow" on SCG's gatherer reveals that there are more scarecrows from Innistrad/ SOI than all other non-Lorwyn planes combined. That is why it is notable.
Not to mention Lorwyn is a place we visited in Origins, making it more likely than any other plane mentioned ITT.
As far as the tribal thing goes, it could easily be downgraded to a subtheme like the land theme wasn't nearuly as prevalent in BFZ as in ZEN.

If we're indeed going on a desert/Egyptian themed plane, maybe it could be Kephalai or Kinshala, analyzing the planechase plane cards we got in 2009 and 2012. Rabiah is another possibility, but it was already explored in Arabian Nights.
I wouldn't put it passed them to offscreen destroy Kamigawa with Eldrazi so that people will stop asking for it back. They seem pretty upset about the idea.
In the next block after SoI, Jace travels to a new plane full of music and theatres, the plane of Espaniya. He stars in a ne drama where he meets the belle of the musical guilds, Karadashian, most beautiful of all Espaniya. She falls in love with Jace's brooding and mysterious character as Jace tries to foil the plans of Don Mario Ouis Azoro, a black mage who is so evil and one dimensional and unbeatable. However Jace triumphs in the end using his wits and will and tons of plot armor.
Featuring a new 1 cmc Jace Planeswalker card! Which is sure to be a new staple on all formats
Also feature seven other planeswalker but they actually cost 2 more than fair, and hell lot weaker than the New Jace, but wh9 cares about the set if it has your favorite planeswalker right?

We should visit a true monocolored plane. Where all cards have no generic mana requirement. It's been a while since people played multiple monocolored decks in standard.

Please, no more Monocolored. Theros was as crappy and stale as it could get.

Please, no more Multicoloured sets. Multicoloured set that I consider "crappy" was as crappy and stale as it could get.
Except that Theros was objectively crap, whereas both Ravnica blocks, Khans block and Alara block (and Lorwyn if you count that as multicoloured) are amongst the most powerful Modern design blocks, thus your witty response is wrong and can't be applied to it.

This is why I specified no generic mana cost. Unrealistic, but allows for power creep without compromising standard's integrity. We want something like Phyrexian Obliterator in standard. Please don't take what I say seriously.
To be honest, I am expecting the next few blocks to follow something within the lines of dual colored block (new plane) -> monocolored-ish block (new plane) -> dual colored block (revisit) -> tri colored block (revisit)

I love Monocolored sets and loath Multicolored sets. Also, Theros was brilliant, well received and my favorite. I hope we get a Monocolored set next, and that Return to Theros will also be Monocolor.
I am all for a properly done top down Egyptian themed set. I would also like to see a snowy plane. Most of all... I really dislike the fact they print 5-6 planeswalkers a block.... I wish they would scale them back and dissolve the plane-avengers crap.

Many disagree.
Anecdotal evidence and bold statements without data to back it up is hardly an argument. And I don't consider MaRo's claiming that "it's the most sold set ever" to be a fact. Every set is "the most sold set ever" according to that guy. The facts are:
- It's limited format was horrible
- It barely managed to impact any format: the only good cards were Thoughtseize (which was a reprint), Mana Confluence (which was a fixed City of Brass), Courser of Kruphix, and Keranos, God of Storms.
- It's Standard environment was stale, shallow and uninteresting: the decks looked more like powerful Limited decks than anything else.
- Relative to the previous point, it was set between two powerful blocks, RTR and Khans. Standard leaned heavily in cards of those two blocks while barely touching Theros' cardpool.
- It's mechanics were utter crap except Devotion (which is basically a rehash on Chroma). Bestow looked good on paper, but the costs were so high that they basically made the Bestow cards unplayable.
On the other hand, you have both Ravnica blocks, Khans and Alara block, which are all multicolored and amongst the most powerful of the Modern era, and had a handful of cards that impacted many formats across the table. Their Limited environments were pretty good and deep, with triple Khans held in high regard. Their Standard time was powerful and varied. And both Ravnica 1.0 and Khans had two of the most broken mechanics ever, which caused such an impact and commotion that cards which said mechanics needed to be hated and banned across the board: Dredge and Delve.
But yeah, I guess that it's just my unpopular opinion and that Theros was one of the most successful blocks of all time, and RAV, RTR, KTK and ALA are amongst the least popular and no one wants to return to them, ever
I don't think Theros holds a candle to Khans. I don't think it's a coincidence that the best constructed formats and what people remember the best are multicolor blocks. Theros peaked at Theros and only went downhill, I hope we stay off that plane for a long time.
Gatewatch are soo Weak they Would not stand against New phyrexia. They only suceed in Zendikar because the writers must have readed too much The Dark Knight Returns From Frank Miller and tryed to make something similar. Ir was bad Story telling: Jace discovers a random way to make the titans vulnerable( even Sorin and Nahiri didn't discovered how to destroy them ) , Nissa takes all the Power of the plans ( from nowhere ) and gives to Chandra to burn them in a fireball of X=infinite ...
If we ever see New Phyrexia done ir wIll be Karn , Elspeth returned, and lots of walkers ( 20+).
I would like to see a New take on Kamigawa:
More Splice in arcana
Kamigawa spirits done right ( Maybe doing then like a fusion of spirits and mortals species like spirit Rat or spirit Fox or spirit human )
Legendary metters ( like in Khans and Fate reforged ) ( ir like humans in Innistrad)
Things i Would like to see again is ninjutsu and flip legends/cards.
But i voted in Arabic/Egipt themed. They should know we want to return to Rabiah soo what better than give them market research
Theros was good in everything but powerlevel. If everything in born of the gods and journey could cost 1 less, it might have been passable. They failed to push monocolor, and they sanwiched it between two multicolor blocks.

Or Kaladesh. I would love to see Kaladesh.
It would be a perfect place to see C-matters on cards different from Kozilek Eldrazi. As magic in itself is either rare or outlawed, there could be a heavy component of C represented by the aether fueling all the artifacts.
Wastes could be printed as places where broken or malfunctioning artifacts are dumped, but the leftover ether could be recovered (by tapping).
YES! YES YES YES! Love it, love it, love it. OMG Love it. This needs to happen.
A return to Kamigawa might be a good way to make use of the Tribal mechanic. Having Tribal - Spirit spells with "Splice onto Spirit" might be interesting.

I wouldn't take Devilthorn Fox as a hint - there already was Silverchase Fox in the first Innistrad.
I'd love to see Muraganda - return to Dominaria would be better, but if I recall correctly, MaRo said that next block is a new plane, so that's out.
