Correct me if I'm wrong, but there seems to be no graveyard hate in the upcoming standard. With a set built around using the GY so much, I would have though WotC would have included a safety valve like Tormod's Crypt or Relic of Progenitus just incase GYs got out of control. A Rest in Peace reprint would be too OP in this set IMO.
Cranial Archive Rotates. Same with Anafenza and Burn Away. Kalitas still around but you need to kill things for it to exile. I'm very scared Jace will be even more powerful now.
Since this is in speculation, my question is do you agree with this assessment?: Why or why not?
Given that Delirium requires 4 cards and there is no value in the way of actual flashback this go around, I don't see mass graveyard hate being a thing.
The Mythic Zombie returns itself to hand which sets it up to be exiled by the common 2UEssence Scatter. There really isn't much actual graveyard shenanigans this go around, so I'm not sure that any graveyard hate will be needed. Just the usual removal+exile suite.
I'm sure there will be at least one more pinpoint removal spell. I really really wish Not Forgotten were an instant though. I would play the heck out of that in commander with Sunforger.
They usually wait until the next block to print hate for the last one.
Innistraad had Stony Silence to hate on mirrodin.
RTR had Rest in Peace to hate on Innistraad.
Theros had Soldier of the Pantheon to hate on RTR.

I think Delirium will be much easier to achieve than people think. Plus you now have a double psuedo - Necormantic Summons for 1 more mana. Reanimator decks will be a thing and very scary. I guess they could always do a psuedo Tormod's Crypt reprint in the next set but it just seams odd not to put a safety valve just in case. Have they learned nothing from Eldrazi winter.

I don't disagree that achieving delirium the first time will be that difficult. However getting the whole graveyard exiled mid-game and having to find 4 more cards? Yes. That's far more backbreaking. I think we're more likely to see pinpoint "exile their rarest type" effects. Additionally, the delirium cards that actually threaten to kill you can all be dealt with using some kind of creature removal. I don't see how mass-graveyard hate is necessary to keep these cards in check beyond the tools we have thus far.

Dark Ascension had Grafdigger's Cage as an anti-graveyard card, so something might appear in Eldritch Moon.
Agreed. Delirium by itself does not need an explicit hoser as the creatures they are attached can be dealt with. This is far more balanced as all colors interact with creatures but not all colors have graveyard removal.
I think it is refreshing design that when you achieve delirium, there are no "oops" scenario where you suddenly lose delirium. There are cases of course, like when you activate Nearhearth Chaplain, but you probably have other creatures in your graveyard anyway and it is you who will knowingly remove it from your graveyard. So if you have a card with Delirium you will be wary of your action.
Printing Cage in Innistrad block was really really stupid..you don't build a set around a theme or strategy and then completely hose it within said block.
There isn't much, but we will have Learn from the past available. It is slow, but it cantrips so I could see an environment where it see's some play. It can even be maindecked in small numbers in a control deck if you are expecting to live long enough to cycle through your entire deck ala Elixir of Immortality control decks of standard past.

Cage was only a hoser against reanimator in-block. It didn't do anything to flashback which is how the graveyard was used as a resource/strategy. I think Grafdigger's Cage may very well have been printed to deal with Birthing Pod in standard/modern instead.
Regarding types of hosers: Also consider Ash Zealot. Maybe they could do a creature-only bolt that does 1+the number of card types your opponent has. For reasons.
I'm guessing Cage was more of a safety valve to ensure nothing in Innistrad got out of control. At leastintheory.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
