MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Then why would the first checklist card include names of artifacts if there are some multicolored DFCs to list first?
Because it might be a checklist split between Common/Uncommon and Rare/Mythic Rare.
They've demonstrated as of Origins that they have the tech to put a specific "token" into a pack as needed. They could most likely do the same for two checklists.
Sorin, most likely. Tamiyo is more dubious. We have six PWs confirmed to play a role in this block already: Jace, Liliana, Sorin, Nahiri, Arlinn, and Tamiyo. There could be six PW cards in this block (most likely a 4-2 split) but I think it's just as realistic to expect one of Sorin, Nahiri, Arlinn, or Tamiyo to be excluded; quite frankly there has been quite some build up for Nahiri, Arlinn has the novelty of being a Werewolf PW, and Sorin has an undeniable cool factor, not to mention he's pretty much the poster boy of Innistrad as a whole, so if one of the six have to be left out, Tamiyo is the easiest choice.

In the most recent video, Jace talks about how the problem causing issues on Innistrad are also starting to influence him. Might this and his darker look suggest he may become a Blue Black walker for the set? It would give a reason to multicolor him, but once he solves the mystery on Innistrad amd things get resolved, he could return to his pure blue ways. Seems like a good way to expand his character.

All your base are belong to us!
RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
SOI
1. Jace is the face of SOI and has never been anything but monoblue. 'Nuff said.
2. Arlinn Kord has been introduced and two different arts for her have been released. For reasons I explained in another thread, I believe she will be a RG doublefaced planeswalker and her reveal this far out of SOI leads me to believe she will be in the first set.
3. I'll come back to this one.
EMN
1. Liliana is confirmed and, like Jace, has never changed or added colors. No reason to believe she'll break that pattern.
2. This is where I'll also talk about SOI's third slot. We know Nahiri is involved in the story, as well as Sorin and Tamiyo. We've seen nothing about Tibalt or any other planeswalker's involvement, so I think it's safe to say these are our choices, unless they want to introduce another new character, which I doubt.
Tamiyo, I think, will get the same treatment Ugin got in BFZ block. She's monoblue and has shown no reason to change, and that spot is already taken this block. Sorry Tami. And besides, I never thought she really fit on Innistrad anyway. I think one day, possibly soon, we'll see somewhere she is more likely to get a card.
As of yet, we have no white walkers confirmed, so Sorin and Nahiri are both the strongest options here. Nahiri is an appealing white character who could reasonably become our new permanent RW 'walker, given her skill set and vindictive attitude. Assuming she is in the block, it would make sense to see her either as monowhite or RW, but RW seems slightly more likely, but for no particular reason.
Our other option is Sorin, our resident WB 'walker. We have no reason to believe he will change colors any time soon, so if he is in, it will be in WB. Given that, he fits best in SOI, considering that set currently has the other three colors covered and EMN already has a black 'walker. That also lets us have Nahiri in EMN. This way, all the colors are covered and there is no color overlap in any one set, plus it shows us all of the important 'walker characters we know of with a new character as a bonus.
So, to me, it looks like our lineup will be:
SOI U Jace RG Arlinn WB Sorin EMN BLiliana RW/W Nahiri
If there's a 6th PW in this set, it will most likely be because there are more cards in the set (the DFCs), and the extra PW will be a DFC.
Since Arlinn is all-but-confirmed to be a DFC PW, it is possible (not saying anything here about probable) that we get 6.
We also have precedent for madness causing color changes (Sarkhan the Mad), so a UB Jace would both be possible and have a few hints.
OTOH, Liliana will certainly be Black in EMN, and Sorin is likely to get a new card which will be partly Black. So... keeping with the theme:
1) UB Jace
2) RW Nahiri
3) BW Sorin
4) B Liliana
5) RG Arlinn
6) U Tamiyo
(Not suggesting a split between the sets here.)
Of course, another option is that Tamiyo goes UB due to madness.
Avacyn is evidence that madness is more "going red" than "going black" this time. I doubt Jace will be two colors so soon after Origins. I believe the origins 5 will be straight 1c for a decent period of time. With 3 blocks per standard we have noticeably a lot of planeswalkers, and most of them are quality ones (core set planeswalkers were often quite bad...), I think 5 is a rule right now, the only we'd get to 6 would be that one of them, the "DFC" is not both face planeswalker.
What I would personally like to see is the following. First set (one coming out soon) Shadows over Innistrad is a large set, so we'll probably be seeing three walkers in this set, and two in the next. In Shadows over Innistrad it is safe to assume that we'll probably be seeing a new Jace card and Arlinn Kord, the third likely planeswalker to see would be Nahiri as it's speculated and shown that she's had an affect which has caused the plain into chaos. Liliana is the poster girl for Eldritch moon and it's pretty much guaranteed that we'll see her make an appearance there. As for the second planeswalker in Eldritch moon it will either be Sorin or Tamiyo. It's likely we won't get a new Sorin as he showed up recently in Khans of Tarkir but he is a fan favourite, so I really don't know. I hope they print 6 walkers with a new Tamiyo.
Jace: I would like Jace to potentially delve into a different colour, nothing drastic in casting cost, but something similar to the older flip Garruk and Archangel Avacyn, where he would be a blue walker that transforms into a different coloured walker, hopefully either black or red. A lot of people don't like Jace for how two dimensional he is, and if this were to be the case it would add depth to his character, as well as letting developers explore new possibilities with their mascot.
Nahiri: It's very likely that if we do get a Nahiri card that she would be Red/White. I don't think I need to add much evidence, but for example on the card
structural distortion Nahiri is mentioned.
Arlinn Kord: A lot of people are speculating that she would be Red/Green due to her being a werewolf and I completely disagree. I feel that Arlinn would be a Green/White walker based on her story and who she is. In the latest uncharted realms she saves two hunters from a demonic presence, if she was acting on impulse (like a red mage would) she would have killed the hunters for killing werewolves in her pack, but she didn't.
Liliana: Lili will more than likely be mono black.
Tamiyo: If we do see a Tamiyo, I'd assume that she'd stay mono blue.
Now with U Jace & WB Sorin, im not so sure anymore that Arlinn is GW d:( allthough im a Selesnya-Fanboy. Because with
Blue Jace, White black Sorin & red green Arlinn, all Colors would be covered. Like it was in Theros. & if Narlinn would be Selesnya, wed have 3 W Planeswalkers. i know thats not impossible like Theros had 3 G ones.
Eh, theres no guarantee on their colours just yet so don't worry! It wouldn't make sense based on Arlinn's background for her to be red. And theres no guarantee that Sorin will be WB he could easily be BR like the rest of the vampires on Innistrad
Yea, thats right. Rakdos Sorin would be a welcome Change. Especially after Sorin 2 & 3 are too similiar. i consider Sorin 3 a Fail anyway.
& Rakdos Sorin would allow more design-space. i approve d:)

The art on the booster pack is not Rakdos at all though.
I just think new Sorin needs to not cost 4. Make him 2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10 CMC whatever just not 4 not freakin' 2WB. Last iteration saw play in Modern...That's good enough! Stop right there.
The art on the booster pack is one of the main reasons why I think a BR Sorin is plausible. Sorin looks pissed off and not calm and collected like he normally is. He looks angry at what's happened to Innistrad and in particular Markov Manor.
Recently a card's color and its artwork colors always match. Here, it would need the entire font to be red for him to be believable at BR. Not to mention he is not the one supposed to go mad, Nahiri is.
Also, since the disappointment of BfZ Kiora not being a true monoU merfolk planeswalker, I have lost faith in wizards trying to make planeswalker trully change.
Eh, I guess? I dunno it sort of looks like theres red light being shone on him, his eyes in particular and facial expression. But yeah Nahiri has gone mad and has torn up Markov manor, but it'd be weird if he didn't get angry because of it right?
Also, about Kiora she's always going to be blue/green due to her character, she's too hotheaded for her to be mono blue.
'I'm a bit angry' isn't enough reason for a colour change. Sorin mostly likely WB or mono B, and with lilli in the same block mono B already likely taken. Making him WB gives a full set of colours for the set (RG Arlin, U Jace, WB Sorin).

Well, it certainly was enough for Ajani, and seeing your family and house being completely destroyed and that your home plane is once again chaos, is more than enough reason to be angry, not just a bit.
All this talk about color coverage reminds me of when we discussed the prospect of Sarkhan Unbroken vs. Sorin, Solemn Visitor being Tarkir's PW Duel Decks, the most popular reason for supporting that match up being the fact that all five colors would be represented between the two decks.
That said, I'm fine with Jace, Sorin, and Arlinn being SOI's walkers.

0 Draw a card, and draw a card for every card named Accumulated Knowledge, or has the word research on it, in your graveyard.
-6 Draw a card for every permanent in play, that has belongs to another set
4
- Jace U His face is on everything.
- Arlinn Kord RG Wouldn't make much sense to spoil her, then put her only in Eldritch Moon. Werewolves are RG, so I'm assuming that she will also be. However, I think there's a small chance that she is in Naya colors.
- Nahiri WR She appears to be a villain in this set. She was mono-white, but she seems extremely angry.
- Sorin WB He finally appeared on a card (Declaration in Stone). I also guess he will be WB because, between Liliana and Ob Nixilis Reignited, I don't think we need 3 mono-black planeswalkers (and one flipwalker).
However, that said, I would not be surprised if either Nahiri or Sorin appear in Eldritch Moon instead of SOI.
And I'm also calling: Tamiyo is dead and the "investigate" mechanic is Jace following what killed her.
Called it! Except for that last part...
Oh, and I'm also calling a UR Tamiyo for the next set. It's been a while since we had one of those.
Nice call! I myself speculated that Nahiri would appear in the next set, but only because I thought the "5 'walkers per block" was a given. Based on what we know now, she makes way more sense plot wise in SOI so I'm glad they went the slightly more unorthodox 4 in one set.
So now what about Eldrich Moon? I think Liliana's a given as mono-black.
That leaves the color distribution as: U (Jace) WW (Nahiri, Sorin) RR (Nahiri, Arlinn) G (Arlinn) BB (Sorin, Liliana)
A UG planeswalker would obviously wrap it up nicely, but I just can't think of any that would make sense. If they print a R Tibalt, that would skew red way ahead of green and blue. Same with a RB Tibalt. If they print a U Tamiyo, there would be two blue mono-colored 'walkers, which they haven't done before.
So far, my best guess is a X/U Tamiyo, or some new random walker that hasn't been mentioned yet like UB Raven Man or something.
At the end of the day though, I don't know how much Wizards values color balance among the 'walkers in a block. Either way, I think green is the most likely to get the shaft this block. Other thoughts?

My apologies, children, for I am afraid I cannot save you all.

The collector number on the card is
CH1/297
Since there is 33 more cards in SOI than the INN (297 vs 264) maybe we will see an even greater amount of DFCs.
Just my thoughts.
I would be shocked if we don't see a DFC card for Arlinn in SOI. Especially given the sweet reveal in the story.
