Unless I didn't hear it being debunked in the BFZ Panel, what are the chances we get them to finally complete the cycle? This would also allow the Winter small set to have the new Enemy 2Checklands and a reprint of the Allied Manlands. Another point for it is that the winter set will have another 20 Expedition lands and it feels right to have Manlands to be included in there.
Chances for BFZ is very, very low. Two different cycles of rare lands in a single set is something they just don't do. But chances for then in the next set is very high in my opinion. The ally colored cycle is a strong hint of a enemy colored cycle next, which is the perfect occasion for then to close this cycle.
I don't believe they will close BFZ's dual cycle just yet. They don't have to.
Two different cycles of dual lands - that's something we had in the original Zendikar, then Worldwake. They may well do the enemy-manlands in the next set, but the tangoland cycle also "needs" to be completed somewhere...
Perhaps having 20 expeditions in the next set is a hint - it could be a set of all 10 manlands there plus a different set of 10 lands, but are there even any more lands deserving this treatment? Filterlands? /meh
If they would print two cycles of rare lands in a set, this would be the block to do it. Zendikar is all about lands. That said, I can totally see them saving that for the next one. Enemy manlands are in high demand, it would help sell the set.

Ya know, with all the extra expedition hype - I REALLY am hoping for some $difficult$ to access legacy staples as well: Wasteland, Karakas, Rishadan Port, Grove of the Burn Willows, Horizon Canopy, Dark Depths, etc.
Chances for BFZ is very, very low. Two different cycles of rare lands in a single set is something they just don't do.
It was done in Innistrad (enemy buddy lands + allied utility lands).
It was done in original Zendikar as well,but.....the distinction is that its only ever five dual lands and another non dual cycle. They wont ever put 10 dual lands in a single set, especially not two enemy dual land cycles. That would be shooting yourself in the foot, since you just made it hard to sell the next set or made the previous on not have any chase duals in it.

I think the stronger argument for no enemy manlands in BFZ is that you'd then have consecutive sets in the same block with enemy dual cycles (assuming enemy slowlands in OGW). I don't really agree with the reasoning that enemy duals and allied slowlands aren't different enough to occupy the same set... but that's neither here or there since it almost assuredly won't happen in BFZ.
Actually what debunks this thread is that BfZ has only 25 of the total 45 expeditions. BfZ is confirmed to have the 5 new duals, all 10 shocklands and all 10 fetches making the first 25. The only place for manlands is in OGW, but they would only be in if the enemy versions of the new dual aren't in the set. But i can't see them having gone through all the trouble of making non overpowered fetchable duals to share standard with fetch lands to not complete the cycle now. Especially considering wedges are still a thing for standard and will be till spring of next year.

Those are likely to be awaken cards. Not manlands.
The art for the awaken cards we have don't have the land animating like that, though. They might not be the enemy mandlands, monocolor manlands are possible too, but I don't see them being awaken spells.
It's a reasonably safe guess that the WB one will have Lifelink, the BG one will have Deathtouch,
and the RW one will have First/Double Strike.
UR is the only enemy pair without a heavily shared ability.

Good point, I had forgotten that was now a shared, evergreen ability.
However, for Prowess to be good on a Manland, it would need a cheap activation cost.
That said, they may be fine with it not being good- UR and BG are the two strongest color pairs in Modern,
and I'd expect their Manlands to be slightly nerfy as a result.

Didn't they say Prowess was more of a white ability than blue? Since white more often has creatures? I'd expect therefore that the W/R land has prowess.
Has deathtouch been done on a man land yet? If not maybe we get something like.
2WB: Land becomes a 1/5 creature with Deathtouch until end of turn. As a more defenseive option.

Prowess is primary U and R. As for white I don't know for sure but I think it's only secondary (except on Tarkir prowess as yet to appear on a non-blue non-red creature.
Prowess was made for blue to have a keyword that is not evasion nor hexproof/shroud and so UR had a common keyword.
I'm betting on the WB and RW manlands joining Lumbering Falls as the BFZ manlands with GB and RU coming in OTG. If I'm wrong I suspect it'll be because GB is in this set and WB is in the next.

Your right on the WB one and it looks like the art for the RW has been shown before so I think you might be spot on. I also thinks it's a smart move on WOTC's part because the GB and UR are the most anticipated for modern players to they will help sell the next set.

yeah that was pretty much my reasoning on it too. Thanks for the props, I thought the same thing when I saw Shambling Vent spoiled today. I pretty much though "nailed it" :).
I'm thinking UR - 2/1 Prowess. If its pushed, UR - 3/1 Flying Prowess.
EDIT: A loot would be better though, with some evasion, so maybe it goes that way. Critically though, I dont think it can be expensive to activate, most UR doesnt roll that way.

I hope that the development team for BFZ is smart enough to realize that UR needs to have the lowest activation cost to fit into more decks, but I have been surprised by them before. To be honest, the set doesn't look great so far to me so hopefully the UR manland is in the set and can save the set.

These definitely be manlands or awaken cards. I would not be super surprised if the one at 0:19 is the UR manland. Good find.
