I have been playing magic for a really long time but never got interested in Standard until gatecrash where I created my dimir mill deck. However this year the standard wheel is going to change making the synergy from one block into the next something really to be toughtful about. In the past (our current standard wheel) we used to create a deck and after one or two expansions we were forced to create a totally new strategy to fit into the current metagame, I had to switch my dimir to an aggressive minotaur tribal and now in Dragons of Tarkir I feel like its time again to change into a new strategy.
You people think this is going to still happen under the new standard wheel or is it going to be less demanding about the strategy you choose?

Standard has always been ever changing, from way back when it was first created. That's kinda the point of standard, to keep the metagame fresh and exciting rather than stale.
I still remember Combo-Winter, and the Reign of the Weenie decks that followed it.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
I have seen that. However with the blocks rotating so fast in the next "age of standard" I would assume the changes to be slower and less demanding. For example, if I had a simple selesnya bolster deck I would like to keep it in those colors at least until the end of Battle for Zendikar.
In the other hand, if the changes are too constant in the metagame that would make standard more expensive for the players and also would demand them to change their strats too often, possibly even scaring them from playing the format.

Except, Standard has always been in flux, since its creation even. Every time a new block set is released into standard, and every time a block rotates out. This is not new. It's been going on pretty much since Ice Age.

Won't it smooth out the transitions with 2 blocks rotating every 6 months? I think you would lose all the weird transition interactions you can get with 2 core sets are in standard together for a couple of months, where little weird rogue decks are only viable for a few months.

"2 blocks every six months"
Wat.
I think you mean two sets.
Nah, the new standard structure will ensure that no deck archetype dominates for 18 months (looking at you Naya and turbofog)
