On a side note Laurel is getting slightly more interesting than she was last season, but Felicity I think will always be the main female character for fans.
Felicity may be one of the best characters on TV right now, period.

I completely agree.
I don't know if Taigem would have fit anyway because I think I'd almost want two of him to represent his shifting loyalties in the timelines.
Well, if they wanted to make rare gold counterparts to the Mythic legend cycle from Commander 2014, Taigam could always get the WU and UB legend cards.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
The cycle is timeshfited khans. Taigam was not a khan. It's fine to want a card for him but why people felt entitled to him I don't understand. He would have broken that cycle and Wizards loves symmetry.
"Entitled"... Is that the new buzzword to shut people down who voice their disappointment with something? Nobody felt "entitled" to a Taigam card, but it's pretty jarring to have the cycle broken up like this.
I will guarantee you that in some years there will be a supplementary product with a Taigam card and Wizards will be like "Oh man, we totally realized people expected a Taigam card, and we feel bad for not delivering this back during DTK, but here he is now. What an oversight lol"
Except the Cycle wasn't broken. Each of the KTK Khans got a new card, four of them became new legendary creatures and Narset became a planeswalker.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
I don't see anything about Taigam in either timeline that screamed legendary to me.
In Khans he defected from Jeskai and went to Sultai.
In Dragons he was a student of Ojutai and his only real contribution to the story was being jealous and confronting Narset. He exiled her, but Ojutai seemed to be pleased with her.
People just seem to like to get there hopes way to high about things that just don't make sense.

Totally agree, he will probably be printed in a future commander set or something similar. Giving background characters this shadow os myster is also part of the history of MTG
I think it's better like this. There are already way too many legends in recent sets.
Correction! There are already way too many **** legends in recent sets. Looking at you Avacyn, Guardian Angel. On a serious note, legendary permanents were originally designed to weaken cards so you couldn't play copies of of them (Kamigawan Shrines). Than EDH happened, now whenever they make a bad one they just slap "For EDH" on it and hope no one calls them out on it (Emmara Tandris).
Legendary permanents were originally designed for flavour (because the Legends design team knew absolutely nothing about game balance). They haven't really ever strayed from that, although they've taken it in a few different directions. I remember when Onslaught came out Rorix Bladewing and co were kind of a big deal, because they were the first legends in a long time that weren't necessitated by the story. Nowadays, of course, such cycles are common due to the popularity of EDH; I think it's a bit disingenuous to attribute this only to the "bad" cards.
