does anyone think there will ever be another innistrad block or horror/gothic themed mtg block?
Have you seen Innistrad?
Well, he did say "another innistrad block," so I'd presume he's heard of it.
But anyways, Innistrad was a very popular block. Another horror block, in the form of a return to Innistrad, is not out of the question. I think it's a matter of "when" and not "if."

Innistrad was one of the most popular blocks ever. I don't doubt we will go back. I think the real problem will be keeping it just as horror-themed now that the angels are back. Maybe they'll go to one of the unmentioned continents and we'll see something different.
I hope we go back to Innistrad again and we get new miracles and then things devolve into mishaps. There is a lot more that can be done with the themes of that block.

All your base are belong to us!
RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
It would be interesting to see a new take on transforming wherein you swap out a Human creature you control for a Zombie/Vampire/Werewolf card in your hand, though I'd just as soon expect to see DFCs return. Also, a legendary Werewolf is a must. They even have a perfect candidate: Tovolar, Mondronen Alpha.
Tovolar, Mondronen Alpha3RG
Legendary Creature - Werewolf
Wolf and Werewolf creatures you control have vigilance, haste, and " : This creature fights another target creature." RG: Wolf creatures and Werewolf creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn. Activate this ability only once each turn.
4/4
And it would be nice to see the missing Green/White Humans for the following cycles:
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I would not be surprised if WotC returned to Innistrad, but they definitely shall not do so at any time soon, since the block was still too recent. Also, please be aware that several sets in the past have been horror-themed, such as Homelands, Torment, Shadowmoor, Eventide, and possibly Rise of the Eldrazi and New Phryexia, since both of those sets involve the emergence or horrific, nightmarish monstrosities, who then wreak havoc upon their respective planes, so Innistrad was not the first set to have such a theme.

Would anyone venture to say that Innistrad's popularity is second only to Zendikar block? It definitely seems like it. With the new two block a year formate I would give anything to have a year where we Return to Zendikar and Innistrad.
The only negative I could say is revisiting two planes so closely together could be mundane but I don't think so, I mean creative would have to CHOOSE to repeat the same old same old.
Innistrad was one of the best-recieved sets of all time. We'll return there eventually, and it won't live up to the hype caused by years of rose-goggled nostalgia.
