This is my speculation of Ramaz being a planeswalker for the next set. First he is in Temur colors. Second if you look at his portrait in duels of the planeswalker you see snow in the background, and temur lives in the freking mountains where it is the coldest place on tarkir. Third he is cited as being a prophet, and since the Temur have s strong connection to shamanism he could be a prophet of that. Finally he is a disciple of Bolas, in this very set may be where Bolas recruited Ramaz to join his ranks and a servant.
Besides that, you can see that the cut and quality of his clothes are VASTLY different from the Temur's.
In addition, Bolas has already recruited him. He has been under Bolas's command for years for him to have orchestrated Chandra's involvement in Zendikar.
Lastly, I seriously doubt Ramaz will be in Fate Reforged since that set takes place 1000 years in the past. We have no reason to assume Ramaz is an oldwalker either, so...
we know there are no 3 colours cards in FRF, so highly unlikely

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I actually think Ramaz is from Tarkir, but logistically, it seems unlikely that he'll be in the block, since FRF and DTK aren't going to have wedge themes. It's possible that he appears as a hybrid card in DTK, although I'm skeptical it's even going to continue the hybrid themes present in FRF at all. As for that set, I think it's almost guaranteed that it's going to feature either Ugin or Nicol Bolas. I'm personally hoping for the latter.

Both Ugin and Bolas could be in FRF because it would fit the lore and Crux of Fate art.
For the hybrid cards, even if they continue to have some in DTK they won't be wedge like Yasova, it makes no sense to keep wedges around, FRF should be the last set to feature wedge or wedge-aligned cards.
His only chance is if they print 3 walkers in FRF, which is like a 1% probability (It would need other 'sure thing' chase cards in DTK, like the Zendikar fetchlands at least, and it seems odd even so.)
I'd love for them both to be in FRF. For some reason, I thought it was confirmed that the split would be 2/1/2 again, but I think that might have just been speculation. And I also don't think there are going to be hybrid wedges in DTK. Poor Ramaz. Maybe he'll get a supplemental product printing.
Ramaz is also a too new character to include. See how long it took them to put in Ral and Kiora. As they see reactions to the character they are working on the thing in 2 years. That really couldn't work out.
Nope. Actually, Ramaz would be on par with Ral if released in this block... (Ral was in DOTP2012 and released in summer 2013, Ramaz in DOTP2014...)
You seem to forget that DotPs are released in the same year as their core set. M12 & DotP2012 where released in 2011. So your wrong and Prai on is correct. It extremly unlikely for Ramaz to appear in a 2015 set based on popularity. The only way he'd show up earlier is is the had already planed on him getting a card without regards to poularity.

Ramaz will see print in our 2015 block. Since Ramaza hails from Kaldheim, a Norse-sounding plane (and Maro mentioned a Viking-themed set was in the makings via his tumblr), I expect he will show up on a post-Eldrazi Zendikar. Our Vikings will be a coalition of folk who held to their old cultures while much of Zendikar's populace have converted to a religion glorifying the elves as gods (an analogue to Charlemange's Christianity expansionism)for Nissa having seemingly defeated the Eldrazi. Nissa didn't defeat the Eldrazi. She let them escape Zendikar and set out as a pilgrim to attempt to heal the land. Over the course of her mission, Nissa learns to bond with the lands, embracing her role as the Worldwaker, and witnesses evils committed in her name, and against those who worship her (and the other elves, but mostly her). This provides a test of Nissa's elfcentricism. Ramaz will be providing the Viking nations with access to longships crafted specifically to navigate the turbulent terrain left behind by the Eldrazis' rampage. In the set's climax, it will turn out that Ramaza is seeking noteworthy individuals from across the planes at Bolas's behest, in a scheme similar to Urza's Bloodlines project, but without the genetic engineering. Rather, Bolas is seeking individuals forged through magical engineering. You see, one of the Viking characters will be the first to join a group created by Bolas to serve as planar regents in his new Empire.

Is there any basis to any of this, or did you just feel like sharing your fanfic with us?
Yes, there is a basis to this. I found it digging around where I shouldn't have.
Then you should probably show us, because otherwise we aren't going to believe you.
Because it's pretty unbelievable and actively misses several plot beats that have ALREADY HAPPENED and seems to be predicated on some things that aren't otherwise confirmed either.
I understand Ramaz is shamanic, but what kinds of spells is he known for? What's his focus?

Well, his deck in the game was based around casting Exploration on turn 1 and then digging through his deck with a bunch of desperate ravings over and over and over again until he could Earthquake the field. He would occasionally drop a Conquering Manticore or summon a bunch of wurms, but the deck was fairly awful all truth told. It would sit there for ages doing basically nothing and then nuke the field.
I just looked up his decklist, Prophetic Ramblings. Looks like he has a theme of prophecy and a mechanical focus on drawing cards and ramping into big spells. Other cards he uses include Prophetic Bolt and Intet, the Dreamer. Based on that information, I'd guess a design like this:
Ramaz, Deranged ProphetGUR
Planeswalker - Ramaz
+1: Exile the top card of your library. You may play that card for as long as ~ remains on the battlefield.
-2: ~ deals 2 damage to target creature or player. Draw a card.
-5: You get an emblem with "Play with the top card of your library revealed" and "You may play the top card of your library."
4
Considering Ramaz works for Bolas, I'm guessing he'll be taking Sarkhan's place as Bolas's rambling shamanistic minion.

Well, Ramaz won't be in FRF, but MaRo sure seems to be implying he could be in DTK... (admittedly it could just be some other wedge card, possibly some other wedge PW, but why would they go for some other wedge PW rather than Ramaz?)

I would very much like to see Narset ascended.
In short, I think that with Sarkhan Vol being the central character in this block, having Ramaz in this block would be one deranged dragon-related shaman character too many.
PW Narset is a popular guess. Maro said "one or two", so for all we know Narset and Ramaz could both be in DTK, though Ramaz would add more color variety to the block since Sorin, Solemn Visitor already provides white.

Yeah, I've recently noticed a rather troubling trend with his posts. I was trying to bait him into admitting that his theories were completely baseless.
So I guess there are going to be a handful of wedge cards in DTK after all? I suppose MaRo never explicitly said none at all initially, but that certainly seemed to be the implication.
