As I recall it was stated somewhere that the Apocalypse pain lands were put into Magic 2015 to balance the Onslaught fetches in Khans of Tarkir. They didn't realize just how badly the Zendikar fetches needed reprinting until it was too late to fit them into Khans block, so they gave the enemy colour pairs the pain lands instead.

There are few men in this Parliament for whom I have greater respect than the leader of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation. I admire him in my heart, because time and again he has had the courage to say what lays on his conscience, regardless of what the world might think of him. A man of that calibre is an ornament to any Parliament.

Since I already have plenty of fetchlands, I'm really hoping we finally see enemy colored manlands in Dragons of Tarkir and enemy colored fastlands in M16 (or vice versa)
A man can dream can't he?
Anyhow, the best I can come up with myself is a game in the top 8 of a PTQ back during Urza block in which we were starting game 3 with time already expired, so the tiebreaker rule was that whoever had more life after 3 turns would win. And I lost to... healing salve.
Although it is also possible to speculate that the ZEN fetches will be in Dragons of Tarkir and the Allied Painlands show up in "M16". This would make sense as it would be the last opportunity to print the Plane-specific painlands without actually setting a block on Dominaria.
Wizards openly stated that they will no longer do 5 lands cycles. So does that mean they are going to fill out the rest of the fetches in Khans?
I thought at first that you get literally punched in the face every turn for using confidant. Was gonna say would still see play.

Actually, not correct. The last core set will be in summer of 2015, so we have one more core set before they disappear.

They will allow for fixing for all 10 colour pairs, not necessarily equal fixing
For example enemy pains in M15 and allied fetches in Khans.
That was explained at PAX australia panel which is up on youtube.
