So with ONS Fetches in KTK, I started thinking of when (or if) we will see the ZEN Fetches to complete the set of 10.
WOTC stated they want to do complete sets of duals in blocks, so if we are to assume that we are getting all 10, which set would we get them? Dewey (2nd) or Louie (3rd)?
With Dewey being a small set, I think taking up 5 rare slots in a small set is unlikely.
Also, we know there is some sort of time travel element to this block. Perhaps the return of dragons (c'mon, we know it's happening) changes the landscape of Tarkir, and provides the flavor and story behind ZEN fetches in Louie.
So that's 2 reasonable guesses why ZEN fetches will be in the 3rd set.

Old enough to know better, much too young to care.
Remember the third set will be in standard while the first 2 rotate. For this reason they could make a call to put the zens in set 2.
Also if Aaron f can be relied on he said zen fetches were not on the radar and so on. Of course he could have been feeding misinfo or they could have rushed the fetches in.
I would prefer the RtR style of all being in set 3 "land slot" as that gets the max copies out there but that is unlikely.
The unique rotation schedule of this block should be factored into speculation of the land distribution. The third set will be in standard after the first two sets rotate, which makes me think it's unlikely they would include the Zen fetches there, although I admit including all 5 in a small set also seems unlikely.
I wonder if perhaps this is why we got the enemy pain lands in M15? Is it possible they'll do 10 duals but not the same 10 for ally/enemy, and that we won't see the Zen fetches this block? Or maybe they intended to have more enemy mana fixing because of the wedge structure?
Highly doubt they put half the fetches in the 3rd set, because of the new rotation that Khans is subjected to.
Just in general, this is actually interesting, because splitting cycles up across 3 sets is a thing of the past! I hadn't thought of that before... Like with Theros block, we had the Gods cycle and the Scry Lands cycle, each split across 3 sets. In the future, any 10 or 15 card cycles like those will have to be split across just 2 sets.

Unless, you know, they make two blocks have the same setting, much like they did with Onslaught/Oddysey...

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Zen fetches in the third set make sense also with the limited drafting structure. The structure for this block is to draft sets 1 and 2 together and then draft sets 2 and 3 together. This would allow for better mana in both draft formats.
I'm guessing Zendikar fetches will be in the 2nd set, due to the way we're transitioning to a different Standard, and part of that will include the 3rd set of Khans along with M16 as a pseudo-block of their own, effectively the first true block of the new Standard pattern, which means that M16 and the 3rd set of Khans should have a different set of dual-lands, if any, than the first two sets of Khans.
ZEN fetches in 3rd set. Allied painlands in M16 could be likely. That would help keep the color balance in Standard.
Agreed. Plus putting 5 fetches in a small set is something they'd avoid. They specifically made Gatecrash a large set so both sets of shocks would have an equal print run unlike the first Rav block. There going to do the same here. 'Lowey' is a large set so it can handle the other five without short changing them print wise. Fate Reforged (Dewey) is going to have mana fixers, but they'll be at common/uncommon since it has less rare slots to use. Having them in 'Lowey' is ok with the next rotation because then the allied rotate out before the enemy ones would meaning standard doesn't have to have so many search effects for 2 years. The last core set will fill in the gaps for the time being till 'Lock' is released, but by then 'Blood/sweat' & 'Tears/fears' will have covered the color combos.
Off topic-Maybe they'll use the last core set to fill out the commons & uncommon black and blue slivers they didn't do in M14.

Highly doubt this. Third block is not multicoloured, maro has said only the first block is about wedges. I also anticipate a return to Zendikar very soon, and will expect to see them reprinted there.
Funny you mention Zendikar. How multicolor of a set/block was that? Or how multicolor of a set/block was Scars of Mirrodin? Oh and lets not forget they do complete dual land cycles in blocks now. And even if next years winter set is a return to Zendikar and has landfall the enemy-feches if printed in the 3rd Tarkir set would still be in standard by then, so that would satisfy cross block synergy.

I just don't see this as possible. I could be 100% wrong but it just doesn't seem like something they would do. More likely to get a "new" land or a old tapped 2 color land.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.
And how many dual lands did SoM have? 5. Zendikar? 5. Man-lands don't really count as they etb tapped.
If we're going back to Zendikar, and we return to landfall, they will want fetches. And they would need to put the fetches in the same set so that they are available the entire time the landfall mechanic is legal.
Now, play along with me. Aside from Ravnica, how often do we see an entire cycle of 10 dual lands in a single block? Take your time. Remember, they have to have the potential at least to etb untapped.
Temples EtB tapped, and they're still duals.
Also, Sam Stoddard has said they are now going to complete cycles of all ten color pair duals in block.
It's funny how the flavortext of all the fetchlands mention that: where dragons used to X, now they Y.
Seeing as how the seccond set is supposed to be sarkhan travelling back in time, wouldn't it make sense to feature the other 5 fetches. Because now the flavortext could basically just say: where dragons do X. It would show the world before the dragons got eradicaded was hence how the land was (fetches). Seems a bit wild but maybe plausible
This thought crossed my mine as well.

Or it could, you know, just be flavor text to enhance the flavor of the block. Not saying that the Zen fetches won't show up in the third set of the block, just that it is *way* to early to tell.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Looking at the way the spoiled lands are distributed so far as well as the number of non-basics in the set, I'm seeing a decent possibility of having all 10 fetches here in Khans.
Could we assume the full 10 fetch in KTK? and a different cycle in 3th set?
If it where the full ten, then they would most likely have revealed all ten together, rather than only the five Onslaught fetches.
I wouldn't have expected them to reveal them all together. The only reason they revealed the first five at once is because everyone would immediately know they would all be included even if only one was spoiled. Not so for both cycles separately.
I assume that in the third set of the block we may see the Zendikar Fetch Lands, followed by M16 getting the allied color fetch lands. That way dual colors will be represented still when M15, Khans, and Fate Reforged leave Standard.

There are a handful of spoilers that would put this idea to rest, but until I see them I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I think 10 lands out of 20 being rare, and 5 being uncommon doesn't achieve the goal of a good mana fixing in Limited.
So i think they keep the ZEN fetches for the 3rd set.
And I still say we have zero evidence that the Zendikar Fetches are going to show up in the block at all.
