Sultai: Resource manipulation, mechanic is a way to "manipulate resources".
Mardu: Aggro, mechanic plays into their aggression.
Temur: Midrange/fatties, mechanic says "we wanna have the toughest creatures."

I don't know about the wedge mechanics, but I think we'll see some more interesting morph costs that align with each wedge ideologies. For example, you morph a creature when you draw 3 cards (cunning), or deal X damage, etc.

I am thinking that Flanking would be a good fit, as it encourages attacking. It would probably make the most sense in the R/W/B clan if it is indeed the one that is returning.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Since one of the mechanics will be a returning one, my vote would go to WBG or UBG getting Delve. I think MaRo has said a fixed flanking was more likely to return than flanking (players didn't understand that flankers were immune to flanking), so that probably wouldn't count as a returning mechanic.

Delve's already been mentioned as far as Future Sight abilities, but what about Frenzy? I could see Frenzy fitting either Mardu or Temur pretty well, though it was a black sliver that got it in Future Sight, making Mardu seemingly more likely.
(Just as far as mechanics I want to see come back, Entwine would be fun. Not sure who would get it - Jeskai, maybe? - but it's something I want to see come back.)

I assume that since the clans are lead by warlords and are seemingly fighting/clashing all the time, their abilities will be combat-focused. I could see flanking or frenzy as the returning mechanic, a renamed bushido or even ninjutsu (for Jeskai or Sultai, maybe) could also be possible.
I expect to see an extra-combats card come out from Mardu. I would love to see reanimation and extra combat come out on the same card, maybe on an Ultimatum. That would make me super happy. Alternatively, I'd like to see a Twilight's Call variant that also gives the reanimated creatures haste/must attack each combat if able as an Ultimatum.

The Jeskai mechanic could be to do with making artifact tokens. There has been a distinct upping in the number of things that make these in the last few sets and red, white and blue all work with artifacts. So I could see this combination being where they make weapons of war (equipment tokens).
Abzan- Persist would be a perfect fit for a clan focused on endurance. The only issue is if this set is gonna use -1/-1 counters. If not, I'm not sure. Undying works functionally, but not flavorfully.
Jeskai- UR are the spell colors. RW are two of the three colors primary in combat tricks. My guess is some sort of Spell Battalion, where certain spells get cheaper or more powerful after fulfilling some condition related to combat.
Sultai- If -1/-1 counters are coming back, then this clan would most likely use it as well. My guess is a variation on Evoke, where a creature enters the battlefield with -1/-1 counters for cheap or without -1/-1 counters if you pay a cost.
If not, Delve is OK.
Mardu- Bushido, Flanking, whatever combat mechanics come to mind.
Temur- If no -1/-1 counters are in, then some sort of mana-sink ability like Kicker would fit. If -1/-1 counters are in, I'm not sure.

Considering that the preview legendary creature is using +1/+1 counters, then Persist just ain't going to happen, as they do not mix the two in block.

I´m assuming that all the clans will have new mechanics since the returning mechanic is Morph right?
It was mentioned that morph was not the only returning mechanic.
Urg, that sounds so boring. Isn´t that kinda non-creative that they can´t come up with 5 new mechanics for each clan when they did that for the RTR guilds and that was even 10 new mechanics
