Guys. I expect attacking will be a bad thing.
After all, getting involved in a land war in Asia is the only thing dumber than getting into a battle of wits with a Sicilian.
graveyard matters. there's a maggot, satyr wayfinder reprint, evolving wilds, soul cycle, jace I guess, the fact that perilous vault exiles, return to the ranks, etc.
I very much doubt it'll be graveyard matters. My reasoning? It hasn't been that long since Innistrad block, and the flavor doesn't feel like a natural fit.

This. It may have a little more than Theros did, but if it does its not going to be by much.

good thing it's not top-down design
you can say all the dragons are dead and they're giving off influence or something, we barely know anything about tarkir

It doesn't matter if it's a top-down design or not. They're not just going to put some random theme on top of the design. We've evolved well past that point.
Large token armies incoming? Good thing I've already got my set of anger of the gods! Also expect bile blight and drown in sorrow to become more relevant...

I think that Blastfire Bolt hints at a heavy equipment block. This would support an artifact theme as well as a creature theme with some powerful equipment. I cant really think of any of the current equipment that would need this kind of hate.

Not necessarily tokens, but I suspect tokens will be a key player in the block. Large armies could simply be lots of small, cheap creatures that work well together.
I could see artificers being a big part of the war, creating the weapons and machinations etc. Thus there could be a bunch of actual artifacts in this set/a resurgance of the artificer peoples. (not just some random constructs and living statues)
The problem is that this could be, while still an important matter of the world, on the back burner and not so much important. Moreso for world building.
Maybe only one of the factions is focused on artifice since the art shown to far doesn't show any.
I could also see a legendary matters theme in this block, with a larger number of legendary creatures then normal. Well I guess that it would really be a continuation of the last few blocks each having 20+ legendary creatures in them with more importance placed on it.

This is the most doubtful suggestion of all. "If your theme isn't at common, it's not your theme."
msun: Knives scoop ice cream.
Highroller: No they don't, knives don't scoop. Spoons scoop.
msun: Well, knives SHOULD scoop icecream.
Highroller: We have spoons that do it. Moreover, the shape of a knife that would scoop ice cream would make it horrible for performing the functions of a knife.
msun: Highroller, you bring up spoons as though they were the utensil used for scooping ice cream.

So you are saying that we "can't" have legendary creatures at common? If my memory serves me right we have seen it before. Also it was long enough ago that it could be the thing MaRo hinted that hasn't been done in while. Maybe they are going to try and make it work.

Dude, we can't have legendary creatures at common. Heck, last time they tried legendary as a theme, we got a handful at uncommon, and MaRo said the theme was an absolute failure. There's zero chance.

There hasn't been a printed magic set with legendary creatures at common. The closest is Kamigawa, which had legendary creatures at uncommon. That said, we could see it as a sub-theme I think, but definitely not a major theme of the set.
Some possible themes that they could be going for: Color Matters: We have quite a few cards that care about the color of your creatures. The Paragons, Hall of Triumph, Mass Calcify, etc Lands Matter: This is a stretch, but we have the 5 rares from Journey and the 5 M15 uncommons that care about what lands you have. We could see things based around number and/or types of lands you control.
There is some evidence for a color/land-type matters theme. In addition to the cards you list, there's:
Devotion
The Fated cycle
Convoke, kind of (color-intensive costs reward lots of creatures of the same color) Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Devotion especially feels like a setup for the next block: it's not especially well-supported in Theros block (note the relative lack of devotion decks in Block), and what better way to enforce block synergy than by making a high-profile cycle of cards that plays well with the next block's mechanics?

Creatures with "when in graveyard, do something" effects seems like a pretty neat thing.

Not necessarily. The artifact theme seems focused on blue/red, which leads me to believe that it's just a draft strategy, and nothing more.

Came here to say this. Other than the large armies/token theme, I would say Fortifications could come back as Artifact Walls.
If I'm speculating on the safe side - Equipments for the artifact theme.

Seeded cards have always existed for years. This isn't new.
MaRo likes to remodel words he has said before. So to many people like the OP, it feels new.
