yah i figured (and hoped) it was unlikely to be reprinted. it's just dumb that it exists. it's like anyone who wants to spend an extra $200 automatically has a better deck no matter what archetype.
They'll reprint more Modern staples in M15. Probably not the fetchlands (and I'm not trying to get a debate started here on that), but Wizards seems more committed than ever to increasing the availability of Modern cards through reprints. Mutavault, Scavenging Ooze, and Young Pyromancer (I know, not a reprint, but still a Modern staple) may not return in M15, but there will certainly be goodies to replace them.
Mutavault single-handedly soured a lot of standard for me. You put it into every deck and once you and your opponent are topdecking you find yourself losing 2 life every turn.
If the next block has a strong tribal theme, they could plant it there.
On the other hand, Mutavault in a multicolour standard is a good plant, as you have to sacrifice a little but of mana consistency for the 2/2.
Outside a multicolour environment, it will become more powerful, and that is why they might not reprint it.

Actually no. It only has the creature types of those printed in black border Magic. Here's the list: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/1336
As for its chances of being reprinted in M15, I've done the the math and I can say that it is 0.88% with a 0.1333% error margin.
I'm guessing you missed Venetian Turdgurgler?
It's my pick for Sleeper of BNG.
Reprint Stasis!
Control needs more love.

and every single other persons deck does too. I'd be fine to not face it for awhile.
