Alas, our dreams of a legendary minotaur have been crushed. Instead we are given pensive minotaur. What a cruel trick to play on us Wizards of the Coast.
Occured to me that a legendary card to support a tribal strategy was somewhat logical but meh.
Is it? Come on, don't be so thin-skinned. The initial discussion was about legendary creature named Rastos, and that has been proven to be wrong on several levels.
As for the legendary minotaur, there was quite enough hints that there will be none (now, if there was a legendary minotaur horde leader in the story, figuring on more than one random flavortext (Thyrogog), I would see it as more probable). That you (and others) chose to ignore them or assign them low importance, was your decision.
And let's say that after 11 years and about 45 rumor seasons, you develop kind of a hunch what is going to happen. Not that I am infallible, but I was pretty sure about this.

Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
I was just arguing that it was a real possibility, as named minotaurs exist in the story (or at least the Theriad).
I think that's the sticking point because that's a terrible reason to think that there's a "real possibility". There are two named minotaurs, each appearing in the flavour text of only one card. Rastos is not even confirmed to be a minotaur, so really there's only one unambiguously named minotaur (who it's strongly implied is already dead). There are far more named characters than legends, so you need more than a mere name for a card to be a "real possibility".
As I said before, if they print a minotaur legend in a core set or side product it will assuredly be a new character. And, by the way, Zedruu the Greathearted already exists, so if your criteria are simply "minotaur legend" then mission accomplished.
"Fight, fight, fight the urge to say "Told you so.""....

So does Tahngarth, Talruum Hero.
