What if Wizards trolled a bunch of aggro players by reprinting Supreme Verdict in M15?
Supreme Verdict hasn't been what has kept aggro from being good.
Naya Blitz, Bant Hexproof and Kibler's R/G Aggro were dominant at the end of the last rotation.
The Aggro decks right now are just bad against all the Black decks so they aren't dominating the meta.
It doesn't make sense to have *** printed in the same Standard as Supreme Verdict but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened - and it wouldn't exactly warp the meta as much as many of you suggest.

Old enough to know better, much too young to care.
I have a hunch that they want to limit it to one-ish per standard.
Standard was just fine in RTR-INN with both Mutilate and Supreme Verdict being legal. Or in Scars-INN Standard with Day of Judgment and Mutilate.
I'm just working on my own hunches here, based on the quotes from Mark Rosewater, not my own or anyone else's analysis of past or future standards. I was actually a bit surprised to see the quote above where he says that Damnation could be reprinted in standard. It shows that they have not completely abandoned the regeneration-hosing, which I suppose means that Wrath of God (and Incinerate) could be possible too.
I don't know if I am completely correct in believing that the following statement is a synthesis of opinion I have read from R&D--it is probably coloured by my own interpretations--but:
A 4 CMC board wipe should not be easily available to most decks
I'd much rather see white get Day of Judgement or Wrath of God to replace Supreme Verdict, with black getting Mutilate back in M15. I always preferred the feeling of black's sweepers being -X/-X based, rather than outright "destroy all creatures" (which feels more white, in my opinion). After all, Damnation is a colour-shifted *** in the first place! It allows for three distinct flavours of sweeper: "destroy" effects for white; -X/-X effects for black; and "deal X damage to each creature" effects for red.
I kinda agree with you. Black should get -X/-X effects or sacrifice effects for their sweepers.
It would also fit the niche of black since they should be better at killing creatures than anybody else. White gets their premium destroy all creatures effect but there are ways to counter that with indestructible or regeneration.
Both would be useless against the black way of killing creatures for example.

W just eradicates, without mercy if necessary but also without suffering or cruelty - you're just gone in a puff of smoke. Fits the "destroy" mechanics. B, on the other hand, kills by enervation and fear. It sucks the will to live out of you, weakens you, until you just can't go on. Fits the "-X/-X" mechanics. R simply throws fire at the thingies in the way until they die. Burn, burn, burn, burn, burn... oh, it's dead. Fits the "deal X damage to each creature" mechanics.
Then why does black have "destroy target creature" spot removal?
Maro said development thinks 4 mana is too good for a board wipe. I hope they changed their mind.
So they printed supreme judgment, a 4 drop boardwipe that can't be countered? I find a flaw in that logic...
Considering Supreme Verdict was made sometime in 2010 (released in 2012) and MaRo said this in 2013, it actually makes a lot of sense. Might want to spruce up on your logic-recognition software

I'm talking purely sweepers. Spot removal is a different kettle of fish, which conjurs up flavour of assissinations and the like.
And black "destroy all creature" cards make me think of genocide.
It's easy to see why 4 mana board wipes are, generally speaking, getting the boot: it's far too easy to jam them in any build and make a control deck.
And without them, good 2 mana counterspells, or 1 mana removal spells, control won't be able to exist. How is control going to survive until turn 6 with 2 mana removal spells and 3 mana counterspells?
