I'm trying to think of abilities Kruphix (the blue-green god of time, mystery, and horizons) could have that a) don't repeat stuff other gods have done and b) preferably don't repeat stuff other Standard rares do in blue and/or green. So no repeating stuff from Courser of Kruphix, Prophet of Kruphix, Garruk's Horde, Kiora, etc.
Some ideas that came to mind:
Thwart creature destruction (especially good for ramp-y Prophet of Kruphix decks):
Whenever another creature you control dies, you may return that card to its owner's hand unless an opponent pays 1.
Out-ramp creatureless control decks (aka, the Reverse-Ephara):
At the beginning of each opponent's end step, if that player didn't cast any creature spells this turn, you may draw a card.
Obligatory over-powered soft lock: (Very bad against Gray Merchant or Fanatic of Mogis)
At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, that player returns a creature he or she controls to its owner's hand.
Weird time shenanigans:
The first time each turn an opponent casts a spell from his or her hand, exile it. At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, that player may cast any spell he or she owns exiled this way without paying its mana cost.
Everyone's an Aetherling:
Creatures you control gain "GU: Exile this creature. Return it to the battlefield under you control at the beginning of the next end step."
Carpe Diem: (So crazy overpowered.)
If you have played a creature spell this turn, other players cannot play spells.
I suspect it will involve creatures and evasion or some creature protection effect,
something like "When a creature ETB under your control, it gains Hexproof until the end of your next turn,"
"Creature spells you control cannot be countered," or maybe
"Nonland cards you own have Flash" (overlaps with Prophet, but still useful and flavorful).

I would imagine it will get something similar to what we've seen.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put an x/x creature on the battlefield, where x is your devotion to u/g.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put x 1/1 counters on target creature where x is your devotion to u/g.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may return up to one target creature from the battlefield to its owner's hand.
3G: Target Creature gets +3/+3 until end of turn.
I've been thinking about this same topic, and came to an ability that I am satisfied with.
At the beginning of each combat, choose one or both: have target creature get -2/-0 and target creature get +2/+0 until end of turn.
Blue has cards that deal in loweringpower. Sometimes green has cards that deal in +power, though it is usually +power/+toughness.
I feel like this ability is something unique to the UG cards we have in standard right now, and fits the power level of the other gods seen so far.
Obligatory over-powered soft lock: (Very bad against Gray Merchant or Fanatic of Mogis)
At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, that player returns a creature he or she controls to its owner's hand.
That appeals to me as a GU time-related effect, the problem is it just wouldn't work on a God. It basically says "The game ends. If your opponent has Gary, they win, otherwise you win".
Thinking of mechanical overlap, what about Curiosity? Fits the mystery and horizons portfolio if you squint and tilt your head a little. Probably would be too good as a straight global effect, but maybe activated?
Unless the completely flub Kruphix, (s)he is going in my UG deck. Same as Kiora if I can manage to grab a few. So far the effects I like:
Whenever another creature you control dies, you may return that card to its owner's hand unless an opponent pays 1.
Creatures you control gain "GU: Exile this creature. Return it to the battlefield under you control at the beginning of the next end step"
The first time each turn an opponent casts a spell from his or her hand, exile it. At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, that player may cast any spell he or she owns exiled this way without paying its mana cost.
Whenever a creature you control deals damage, you may draw a card.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may return up to one target creature from the battlefield to its owner's hand.
Seriously, all of those would make me happy, and I can't think of any of my own sorry :-P
I just want an indestructible Future Sight that restricts the controller to casting creatures and lands off the top. Make it cost four, since both Future Sight and Magus of the Future both cost 2UUU and are unrestricted in what they can cast, where this would be a limited version of that so 2UG seems pretty fair. P/T doesn't matter since it'll never reach devotion anyway. As I'm describing it it'd be barely playable in anything except commander, but I want it anyway.
I would normally look at cards like overbeing of myth, but if anything those have been excellent guidelines of what NOT to expect.
As I have said elsewhere, I think these guys will have activated abilities instead of static ones.
In keeping with the mysterious magic sorta vibe, what about "put a +1/+1 counter on a dude and gain control of it." ala yavimaya's embrace.
There is a lot of potential overlap in GU, and if they are looking to be different then Enchantment or simply Aura recursion could be one way to go.
I know this is squarely Whites thing more or less anymore, but blue and green both have a deep history with aura's and enchantments. And it would make sense that its the 'secret' magic of Theros, kinda the behind the scenes underlay of everything there...just saying

According to Maro the minor god will have only triggered abilities or static abilities. they will not have activated abilities
Where did he say that? I found this, but that's not actually what he says there. Presumably they will have only one ability beyond the standard Indestructible and Devotion, but that in itself doesn't put any specific restriction on what that ability can be.
Kruphix is the good of time and mystery. The flavor text in Prophet of Kruphix emphasizes the god being tied with time. Probably I think it will be like:
Kruphix, God of (Time or Mystery?) 4UG
Legendary Enchantment Creature - God
Indestructible
As long as your devotion to green and blue is less than
seven, Kruphix isn't a creature.
Return each creature that dealt damage to you to their owner's hand. If
those creatures will deal lethal damage to you, prevent all damage and take
an extra turn after this one.
5/7
Bounce is a blue ability, also it's like "Time Reversal" in here
Fog effect is green
Timewalk effect is blue and suits Kruphix well.

Here is an interesting idea that no one has said. Since Simic has hexproof as a mechanic, how about Kruphix gets a Prognostic Sphinx ability, where you can discard a card to make target creature hexproof? Here's my thought.
Kruphix, God of Mystery 3UG
Legendary Enchantment Creature - God
Indestructible
As long as your devotion to green and blue is less than
seven, Kruphix isn't a creature.
Discard a card: target creature gains hexproof until the end of the turn.
Whenever a non-token creature enters the battlefield under you control, you may distribute up to 2
+1 +1 counters on any creature you control.
MaRo said that the minors won't have activated abilities, only static, nod while I wouldn't hate that card (it would work well in my UG deck) it probably won't happen simply because it isn't a Simic creature, just has the same colors.
Is there a way to make your creatures Unblockable with out being to op?

The reason I asked is because I wanted to see the precise wording. He could have said any number of things that might be misinterpretted/misremembered as an absolute statement about Journey gods but wasn't, do you have anything more concrete than "Oh yeah, it's somewhere in those 1913 pages I swear"?
