I was wondering... Why not a reprint of "[creature type] offering] from Kamigawa ?
It fits the fatty monsters theme, the "human-sacrifice-for-gods" theme. Maybe a Human offering ?
Kind of the opposite of tribute, you choose to pay it or not...
I bet on that.
I wanted that to be the returning mechanic in Theros. Sadly, they chose scry instead.
i'd like a 2 or 3cmc mana-barbsish enchantment creature that dealt damage when non-basics were tapped for mana. it would go straight into my modern ww hatebears, id even splash if i had to. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
edit: even though it might give bloodmoon decks more game i dont care
A variant of enchantress but being herself a enchantment (or more likely an auriok champion for enchantments ) a minotaur and a cyclops legends. Some global enchantments . Someform of transform a permanent into a enchantment.
I imagine we will also get another monster ability that works with +1/+1 counters again. Maybe it will be something that gains counters whenever that creature deals damage, or when a creature dealt damage by the monster dies it gets counters? Then, maybe they'll have abilities that give them benefits for the more counters they have. I imagine we will see heroic, Scry, and a little devotion. I would like to see more inspired but idk if we will. I'd also like to see a new enchantment effect.
legendary Archon with a ability with a filling more evilness than the others...
Like:
Conquestair, the opressive4WW
legendary creature - Archon

If you do, untap another target creatue and remove conquestair from combat, you gain control of that creature for as long conquestair remains tapped.
You may not untap conquestair during your untap step.

Since this is supposed to be the "enchantments matter" block, I'm a little surprised we haven't seen Sterling Grove or Greater Auramancy and a little disappointed that wasn't Karametra's ability. Admittedly, shroud's been more or less abandoned in favor of hexproof, so it'd probably cost more like Privileged Position.
Also, add me to the we-want-a-legendary-minotaur-goshdarnit club. Alas, if only we could get one in RWB that spit out little minotaur tokens, a largely-inclusive CMDR tribal deck for them could be possible.
More Bestow too, with a greater variety of things to do.
Lastly, I hope the remaining gods of this set do original things, things that we don't immediately think of when the color combination comes to mind (I.E. "green/black? Graveyard stuff! Red/blue? Spell-slinging!"). Bonus points for doing something subtly powerful, like Ephara.

No, unfortunately it's not an enchantment-matters block. I've said many times that Wizards have sold many people short with loose words. One could argue that players sold themselves short (instead) by not reading between lines but I can't help but feel that Wizards should be responsible for this.
Wizards (or MaRo) for the matter have talked about cross block synergy in a standard environment. We had precursors like Ethereal Armor, Sphere of Safety; plus 63 other enchantments, some of which have seen huge amounts of play. Then we had M14, which had enchantments as a sub-theme, with cards like Blightcaster, Oath of the Ancient Wood, etc. What's more, coresets have a huge reputation for foreshadowing a new standard every year.
One thing we can be certain was that the majority of magic players were misled. People play on heuristics. If we played a word game and I say artifacts, Mirrodin would be the snap answer. Now if I say Theros, would anyone say enchantments for sure (or even vice versa)? "Gods" or "Greek" will probably be the answer.
Would be nice to see a Leonin rare or another uncommon card. Something to boost synergy with 1/1 tokens, or vigilance, etc. Qasali Pridemage without exalted, etc.

cause giving hexproof for all enchantments ( and enchantment creatures) in a block with alot of them is not broken ( for cmc 5 less)

What I mean by that is, while there are no cards that care about your number of enchantments or interact with them (there are exceptions that somewhat care - Eidolon of Countless Battles and Silent Sentinel do interact/care), enchantments DO matter, at least in limited. Bestow as a mechanic plays a big role in limited, and since we don't know what the next block is going to offer for constructed, it might even matter in standard at some point. So, even though there are no Cranial Plating type cards that care about enchantments in this block (yet), it doesn't mean that enchantments don't matter. They do - just a little different from what most expected.
Also, we're going into Nyx! Everything that came from the Nyx so far was an enchantment in addition to other types, so I personally I expect enchantments to matter a lot more in the next set.
^^All of this is my reaction to the block thus far. They need some enchantment-counting cards (or some mechanic that cares about how many are out).

Ethereal Armor, Sphere of Safety. Helloooo broken town.
And it would. Ad I'd love to play it if they do make it. Just expect mass enchantment removal like Paraselene too.

It doesn't do anything until turn 5. It would be fine.
On another note, I am hoping for an Idyllic Tutor reprint along with another playable 4 cmc black reanimation spell.

Therefore the anticipation that an enchantment theme block was in the works. Expectations were high. MaRo also stated his design goals in his yearly State of Design column http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/mm/262.
One thing we can be certain was that the majority of magic players were misled. People play on heuristics. If we played a word game and I say artifacts, Mirrodin would be the snap answer. SO... What can we hope to expect from JOU?
A quick check reveals 30 cards with "enchantment" in it http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?page=1&action=advanced&text= [enchantment]&format= ["Theros Block"]
If we investigate further, most of it are creature tokens with "enchantment" tagged on it; or are enchantment destruction effects.
So let us not expect any enchantment matters card/s for JOU.
