The next Fall set is Sarkhan's home plane (described as a place "torn by warlords", and the set is "Warlords of Khanar", as Conspiracy proving to be a product has shown), so we'll be seeing him again one way or another I think.
MaRo said Huey block is a bottom-up design, and has some kind of unique specific block structure they came up with and wanted to find a home for. I wonder if it might involve plane-hopping? Be kind of cool to have one theme travelling across different planes, like Urza's/Masques blocks but more new-style (one world a set). Bringing Sarkhan and Bolas back into things seems like a good time for something like that.
One strike against the possibility of visiting Sarkhan's home is that they like to have Dragons in every set, and dragons are extinct on Sarkhan's home plane. Just because there happen to be warlords on Khanar doesn't mean Khanar is the specific war-torn plane from which Sarkhan hails. There are warlords elsewhere in the multiverse. Being bottom-up seems to me less likely to be connected to something we already sort of know about, as well. There will presumably be a mechanical theme and the block will be built around that theme, and then Creative will work out a story about it. They might have decided to make this Sarkhan's home through that process, but it seems unlikely.

Actually, Maro said they are willing to do a set without dragons if that is meaningful to the plane itself.
I think it's unlikely that such a block would come about as a result of bottom-up design, though. Certainly, they might hand off a design with dragons and then remove them on Creative's instruction, but it just seems to me to be a little less likely.

Well, he is a dragon-loving, planeswalker...if anyone could, or would want, to bring dragons back to the plane, it would be him (and would make for a great story point: "Revenge of the dragons").
And of course, Nicol Bolas is a dragon...and anywhere Sarkhan goes, I'm sure he (and his reach) would follow.

that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
I think most of the Lorwyn 5 are safe due to unresolved plot threads that could be explored later on, with the exception of Ajani, unless i am missing something (maybe jace, if he wasnt the "new urza")
So it is possible that Ajani will be the second neowalker to die, unfortuantly.
Also: I thought the Theros Leonin mostly didnt worship the gods because none of the gods cares about the Leonin? Given that Ajani would care for them, they probably would worship him.
I saw one with Elspeth but it was for the E book of Theros ( yet no M15 add)
That's not the one. The one I saw has art of Elspeth that I had never seen before featuring a close up portrait of her upper body her face strait to the viewer.

Is it possible it was from the planeswalkers artwork for DotP 2012?

Ephara helped the humans eject the Leonin from Meletis ages ago, and the Leonin have held the grudge against the entire pantheon ever since.
Some still worship the Gods, but most have taken the view that they've managed to get by without worshipping the Gods, so they have no need to start doing so.

The artwork is the same, but it was found in a stack of ad cards from the Born of the Gods prerelease. Unless my gameshop had an Innistrad Draft just before the event, left the ad-cards and I hastily misread it.
It's possible, even probable at this point as no-one has replied finding an Ad like it from BnG.
I just hope Im right, and that I didnt waste anyone's time, hopes.

I could see Ajani giving his life to save Elspeth in some sort of final battle with Xenagos, though frankly I wish they'd kill off Elspeth completely and leave her story as some major Shakespearean tragedy. Wouldn't be popular with most people I'm sure, but I'd love it if they took the storytelling in a more compelling direction.
I used to think Ajani was going to die (or become a God - either way, I thought they were going to shelve him and replace him with Elspeth/Gideon). A lot of things certainly added up to the possibility - Ajani's the least popular of the Lorwyn 5, he's the least popular mono white planeswalker, him dying would fit the "real consequences" bill, etc... But after seeing him show up in the toy line, I'm not so sure.
I'd be pretty damn upset if they killed Ajani. He's a cool character that stands out from the rest of the walkers.
If you're going to kill another walker, kill Sarkhan. He's already in a pretty messed up state story wise, and his largely useless Rise version is one of the more forgettable walkers printed.
If AFTER Zendikar's eventual return, possibly, but currently Sarkhan is the key to 1/3 of the solution to our Eldrazi problem, we'll be needing him at least until then and Warlords. So, which monocolor Planeswalkers can be in M15 without stacking instances of being in Standard?

... I don't follow. Just because he released them doesn't mean he's required to shut them back in.
I mean, otherwise it would have taken Sorin, Ugin, and the Lithomancer to undo the lock.

Unlikely.
Even then, Ugin is sort of superfluous now that Chandra wields the Ghost Fire.
And honestly, the way things have shaped up, Sarkhan's role on Zendikar seems pretty much done. We have several walkers who are sure to be involved, Gideon, Nissa, Kiora, but Sarkhan has his own story arc going on divorced of Zendikar. Its fate doesn't impact his narrative at all.

Of course elspeth, knight-errant would be better. Elspeth 1 is one of the most powerful walkers ever printed with ease, easily top 5. My top 5 would be JTMS, liliana of the veil, elspeth, knight-errant, jace beleren, and domri rade probably taking the fifth slot as domri is pretty powerful (it seems every time WotC prints a 3 cmc walker it's either very good or just super meh like ajani, caller of the pride.)
I doubt they kill off ajani. I like ajani as a character. If they were to kill off one of the lorwyn 5 the one I wish they would kill the most is jace as jace has been overdone to death but he's the posterboy and is likely in the first MTG film. Chandra is pretty uninteresting as well but that's because she's red/the most narrow color in magic and all of her versions have been meh except pyromaster although firebrand had her moments (I like it in cube personally as a way to copy cruel ultimatum or other gamebreakers.)

... I already mentioned that. Chandra can wield the Ghostfire. She's already done so at the Eye which was the problem that unlocked the Eldrazi in the first place.

I was asking about what the Ghost Fire had to do with anything. Unless all Ugin did was use the Ghost Fire spell to do his part of the sealing, then Chandra is irrelevant. The chance that the spirit dragon contacting Sarkhan is a remnant of Ugin, then there's a chance for either A. Sarkhan to *eventually* use this to help put the Eldrazi back or B. Nicol Bolas is aware Sarkhan would be able to make contact with Ugin in his current state and that relation will be exploited by Nicol Bolas
