So could Wizards be setting up a batch of new Plainswalkers for M15 Core? Story wise Xenagos has stormed the pillars of heaven so to speak and we are traveling into the realm of the gods. Could they fall and become mortal Planeswalkers just as Xenagos was able to rise? Works thematically IMO.
they need a planeswalker spark ( you know .... just 1/10000000000000000000000 have the spark) and tge gods need have been born with a soul . Maybe one can get a spark but it is soo much speculation....
the odds is that if a new walker apears in M15 it will be a god is soo low , a goblin walker has much much more chances than the a god planeswalker....
They already said xenagos didn't lose his spark so he's technically a god walker. M15 won't introduce new walkers, and they certainly wont add 14 new walkers with the Theros pantheon. Only Xenagos will fit that description. I'm still waiting for my minotaur walker (Sandruu where are youuuuuuu)

Nah, I think they'll just reprint Boggart Arsonists rather than make new ones.
While the thread's suggestion is clearly not what's going to happen, what makes you so sure of this? They've already printed new versions of existing 'walkers in core sets, and they've acknowledged that Liliana of the Dark Realms was too distant mechanically from previous Lilianas. Combining these two things, I can see them creating a new character if they have a Planeswalker design that doesn't fit an existing character. I can also see them using the core set as a sort of sneak preview of a character whose story debut will be in the next large expansion.

Simply because IMO planeswalkers are flavor driven characters and core sets are lacking in that department.
M15 is supposed to be Garruk centered, I'd expect a new version of him, but we have gotten quite a few Garruks in recent years. A reprint of Leliana of the Veil would be amazing but unlikely. I'm hoping for a new Red walker, one thats actually good enough to see serious constructed play. The newest Chandra sees occasional use in Jund decks but thats about it. I really want a reprint of Ajani 1.0

Fallen Gods would be regular mortals, not planeswalkers. Or maybe not even mortals, all other gods except Xenagos were born from Nyx, they are creatures made of Theros's specific magic (that's why they are enchantments that only animate if pray hard enough), and simply won't exist without Nyx. They'd just fade into nothing instead.
--------
Garruk is the "face" of M15 (just like Chandra was for M14), so it's certain some version of him will be included.
By the way the planeswalkers were printed in previous core sets, I'd guess we are getting Garruk, Caller of Beasts and Chandra, Pyromaster again (because they were printed just once so far). The other three may be anything, really, but I don't think we'll see a fourth printing of Jace, Memory Adept. Not even Jace Beleren had more than 3 "standard" printings.
Planeswalkers other than the main 5 were always reprints (Gideon, Sorin, Nicol Bolas) so far.
My best guesses:
W New version of Ajani or reprint of Elspeth Tirel or Sun's Champion (Knight-Errant just got reprinted in MM and they didn't put anything there they wanted to reprint soon)
U New version of Jace or reprint of Tamiyo, the Moon Sage
B New version of Liliana
R Chandra Pyromaster reprinted
G Garruk, Caller of Beasts reprinted
Simply because IMO planeswalkers are flavor driven characters and core sets are lacking in that department.
They're lacking in story, not flavour. A 'walker can be a very developed character even in a core set. Besiders, Kiora and Ral Zarek were both introduced outside of an expert level expansion with no immediate plans to include them in such a set, purely to fill a niche in DotP decks. Something like that would be understandable and fine.
Squee has died enough times that, if he had a spark, we would've seen it ignite way back in Planeshift or Apocalypse. We would already know about his hypothetical planeswalker-ness.
The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.
Simply because IMO planeswalkers are flavor driven characters and core sets are lacking in that department.
They're making a conscious decision to change that.
M12 had legends.
M13 was tied into the corresponding duels, which advanced Chandra's story.
M14 appears to be advancing Garruk's story.

Realistically he should only be unblockable without equipment
Guard 1: There goes a sword floating down the street!
Guard 2: Well, he's unblockable, so ignore it.
Eat your greens kids, omnath does, and it makes him strong....
Not really. The Gods are thematically tied to Theros, and given the way Nyx exists, might not even be able to exist on other planes.
Furthermore, it's suggested that they are mana constructs and thus are created and not born and therefore can't have natural sparks.
1:1,000,000 born with a spark, 1:1,000,000 ascends.
So the odds of any single individual becoming a fully realized walker are 1:1,000,000,000,000

The chance of a named individual in the story becoming a 'walker are substantially higher, though. Narrative and all that. Those sorts of statistics only really matter for figuring out how many planeswalkers in general there ought to be, for characters we already know about a disproportionate number have become 'walkers. And, of course, if we ever learn that a character has the spark somehow, the chance of it igniting is practically 100%.

Glacian and Glissa had the spart but they never becomed planeswalkers also i think there is another character that had the spark but didn't becomed a planeswalker ( don't remenber)
Still, it would be nice to get new mono-colored 'walkers. Seeing people pull a Jace, Liliana, Garruk, Ajani, and Chandra after three(?) years gets stale after a while.

We BADLY need an alternative to Garruk. We have alternatives to Jace, Chandra, and Ajani, but they don't seem eager to switch them out.
Liliana needs a little more competition.
Anyone wearing a scarf (like the disciple and agent of) or has horns in the pattern of Nicol Bolas is working for him. He is using Xenagos (who also wears a scarf) as a lab rat to see how his newly found 'god' status affects his planeswalker status.
Meanwhile, back in the Batcave...Karn will open a massive portal between New Phyrexia and Zendikar to have the Eldrazi fight the Phyrexians. Once all are on New Phyrexia, he will collapse the portal and use his spark to destroy Mirrodin.
Bolas will see what is happening and try to stop this from happening. The rest of the 'good' walkers will see what is happening and run diversion to distract Bolas and his forces so that Karn can do the job.

The epicness of that is over the top (I'm not ten years old, so that is not necessarily a good thing), but it makes a lot of sense story-wise.
Xenagos is prime minion material. Could be mono-red. Xenagos, Minion of Bolas. It will be sad to see Mirrodin go, but it also is a great victory, and it seems like Mirrodin has been terraformed to be toxic to the point of no return.
I am not familiar with the story, but when Karn was a Phyrexian, could he not plainswalk? Seems like the Phyrexians would use him to contaminate other planes.

I petition for a new pack structure: 1 Mythic Rare 3 Rares 5 Uncommons 7 Commons 1 Token/B. Land
But I also propose even distribution of number of cards in each rarity: Large set: 60 c, 60 u, 60 r, 60 m.
Probabilities of particular cards: Common 7/60, Uncommon 1/12, Rare 1/20, Mythic 1/60.

I said "practically". There are a handful of exceptions but clearly not 999,999 in 1,000,000. I don't know what your point about Kamahl is, since I didn't even imply that every protagonist becomes a planeswalker (Gerrard? Toshi? Agrus Kos? Plenty of examples to choose from if I had made such a foolish argument). I just said that, of the named characters in the canon, a great deal more than one in a trillion have become planeswalkers.
I think it's unlikely we'll see new Planeswalkers introduced in the Core Set, but I think it's likely we'll see new versions of current planeswalkers introduced. Such as, perhaps, a not terrible Tibalt or a new Tamayo

Not really sure glacian is a good example. It was his spark that made two planeswalkers, Urza and karn via the might and weak stones. Without them urza would die and karn wouldn't be a walker.
